A method of crimping a terminal with a cable which crimps and connects a crimping portion of a crimp terminal to an end of a cable by a crimp die, includes an anticorrosive supply step and a terminal crimping step. In the anticorrosive supply step, an anticorrosive agent is stored in or supplied to an anticorrosive supply portion formed in the crimp die. In the terminal crimping step, the crimping portion of the crimp terminal is crimped to the cable by the crimp die. During or after the terminal crimping step, the anticorrosive agent is applied to a predetermined area around the crimping portion of the crimp terminal by the anticorrosive supply portion of the crimp die.

Method of crimping terminal with cable and terminal crimping apparatus

A terminal crimping device includes a terminal feeding device, a crimping device and an electric-wire holding mechanism that holds an electric wire with an end portion of the electric wire placed above an electric-wire connecting portion of a crimp terminal. The electric-wire holding mechanism includes an upper surface of a terminal cutting body, on which the electric wire is placed, and an electric-wire presser that is moved downward toward the upper surface and presses and thereby holds the electric wire placed on the upper surface. Between the electric-wire placing portion and a lower surface of the electric-wire presser, an electric-wire holding space is formed that inclines in the same direction to a declining direction in which the end portion of the electric wire is declined in association with downward move of the second die toward the first die, and that holds the electric wire in a thus inclined state.

A method of manufacturing a crimping terminal includes a punching process of punching out a crimping terminal from a flat-plate-shaped metal base material, an attaching process of attaching a sheet-like water stop member to a wire connection portion being a portion in the crimping terminal that is to be crimped onto a wire, and a bending process of bending the wire connection portion to which the water stop member is attached. The wire connection portion may integrally cover a core wire and a covering of the wire by being crimped onto the wire.

An electric wire connection portion of a crimp terminal includes a core wire crimping portion crimped to a core wire at an end of an electric wire, a bottom of the core wire crimping portion includes a recess, formed by causing a part of a supported surface on an outer wall surface side to be recessed to an inner wall surface side and a protrusion protruding from the inner wall surface toward the core wire at the end of the electric wire by the recess of the recess, and ends of the recess and the protrusion on a side opposite to the sheath crimping portion side are inclined to the sheath crimping portion side as being directed from the outer wall surface side to the inner wall surface side.

A trim device includes a trim cylinder, a piston, a piston rod and a support member. The piston is slidable inside the trim cylinder, in the axial direction of the trim cylinder. The piston rod is connected with the piston and moves in the axial direction of the trim cylinder following the movement of the piston. The support member is slidable relative to the piston rod and arranged to support the piston rod so that the piston rod's axial center can become tilted with respect to the axial center of the cylinder.

Hydraulic cylinder device and boat propelling apparatus including the same

A tilt and trim unit for a marine drive eases manual trim or tilt up of the drive, while presenting a compact construction. The unit includes a cylinder having upper and lower fluid chambers. A bypass arrangement selectively bypasses a shock absorbing mechanism of the tilt and trim unit. The bypass arrangement is formed by a sub-chamber and a valve positioned in series on one side of the fluid chambers. This arrangement produces a compact construction. The valve also desirably establishes three operating states for the tilt and trim unit. In one state, the valve is open and the tilt and trim unit is easily moved. In another state, the valve is closed to prevent movement of the tilt and trim unit. In a third state, the valve operates as a one-way valve permitting extension of the tilt and trim unit to raise the marine drive, but inhibiting retraction of the tilt and trim unit. This latter operating state allows a person to raise the outboard motor and then close the valve without having to continuously hold the outboard motor when closing the valve.
