In a tin-plated product wherein a surface of a substrateof copper or a copper alloy is plated with tin, an underlying layerof at least one of nickel and a copper-nickel alloy is formed on the surface of the substrate, and an outermost layer formed on the surface of the underlying layeris composed of a copper-tin alloy layerand tin layers, the copper-tin alloybeing formed of a large number of crystal grains of a copper-tin alloy, each of the tin layersbeing arranged in a corresponding one of recessed portions, each of which is formed between adjacent crystal grains of the large number of crystal grains of the copper-tin alloy, the adjacent crystal grains being adjacent to each other on the outermost surface of the outer most layer, the area ratio occupied by the tin layerson the outermost surface being 20 to 80%, and the maximum thickness of the tin layersbeing smaller than the average particle diameter of the crystal grains of the copper-tin alloy.

Tin-plated product and method for producing same

A connector includes an inner plate including cavities for holding terminals connected to electric wires, a cylindrical housing which accommodates therein the inner plate, and a filling material which is filled in an interior of the housing so as to surround a periphery of the inner plate. A plurality of air bleeding holes are formed in a portion of the inner plate other than portions where the cavities are provided so as to penetrate from a front side to a back side thereof.

Connector

The combined type connector includes a base connector housing and a detachable connector housing. The base connector housing includes a first main body, a boss groove provided on a first outer surface of the first main body, a first guide part provided on the first outer surface; and a first stopping part provided on the first outer surface. The detachable connector housing includes a second main body, a boss provided on a second outer surface of the second main body, a second guide part provided on the second outer surface and a second stopping part provided on the second outer surface. The base connector housing and the detachable connector housing are connected by engaging the boss with the boss groove and pivoting the detachable connector housing about the boss from a first position to a second position so that the first guide part slides along the second guide part and the first stopping part and the second stopping part are engaged so as to stop the detachable connector pivoting at the second position.

Combined-type connector

A connector including a first connector accommodating a male terminal, a second connector accommodating a female terminal, and a movable aligner which supports a tip of the male terminal and is movable from a provisional position to a completed position according to the insertion and desertion of the second connector relative to the first connector. At the provisional position, a pushing projection pushes the arm toward the inner wall so that the arm deforms and the regulating projection is in the recess portion, and the movable aligner supports the tip of the first terminal so as to align with the second terminal during a movement between the provisional position to the completed position, the pushing projection is engaged with the slit; and at the completed position, the first and the second terminals are connected. Thus the movable aligner precisely align the male terminal with the female terminal.

A set of lever-type connectors, which can be miniaturized. The set of connectors includes a male connector, a female connector and a lever mounted rotatably on the male connector. The connectors are coupled and uncoupled by rotating the lever. A lock arm is provided on the male connector and a lock projection, engaging with the lock arm, is provided on the female connector.

At a first stage of a pivotal movement of a lever, a housing-side boss slides in a fitting groove in the lever, and a fitting/disengagement projection is brought into abutting engagement with an engagement surface provided in a fitting/disengagement guide portion, and the boss is displaced to an abutment portion provided in the fitting groove. At a second stage of the pivotal movement, the lever is pivotally moved about the housing-side boss, and the fitting/disengagement projection is slid in and guided by the fitting/disengagement guide portion, so that a male connector can be completely fitted into a female connector.

Connector fitting structure

A first connector includes a joint bus bar mounted in a first housing, and wire-connected first female terminals inserted respectively in terminal receiving chambers to be connected respectively to tabs of the joint bus bar. A second connector includes wire-connected second female terminals inserted respectively in terminal receiving chambers in a second housing. When the first connector and the second connector are fitted together in such a manner that the second connector is inserted into a connector fitting portion, the wire-connected second female terminals of the second connector are connected respectively to tabs of the joint bus bar.

Joint connector structure

A connecting structure of an electric bulb includes a socket, in which the electric bulb is mounted, and a connector having a terminal received therein. The connecting structure also includes, fitting into the socket, a first lead wire and a second lead wire connected respectively to both ends of a first filament of the electric bulb, and terminal portions, formed respectively at extension portions of the first lead wire and the second lead wire which extend outwardly from the electric bulb. The terminal portions are connected to the terminals respectively when the socket is fitted on the connector. When an inner wall of the socket abuts against a front wall of the connector, an electrically-connected condition of each terminal portion and the corresponding terminal is maintained, and a power source and the bulb are electrically connected together, so that the bulb is lighted. The connecting structure may include more than one filament in the bulb.

Connecting structure of electric bulb

In a mold for pressing an electric-wire clamping portion of a terminal, a lower side-wall mold part and an upper side-wall mold part are provided for pressing side walls connected to the electric-wire clamping portion. A pressure face substantially continuously connected to a pressure face of an upper conductor mold part is provided on one end side of the upper side-wall mold part. A taper face is provided on the other end side of the upper side-wall mold part so as to be enlarged toward the other end. Accordingly, side walls pressed between the lower side-wall mold part and the upper side-wall mold part are deformed so that the quantity of deformation at one end is near the quantity of compressive deformation of the electric-wire clamping portion and so that the quantity of deformation is reduced gradually toward the other end side. Thus, local stress concentration is not caused in the side walls so that cracks are prevented from occurring in the side walls.

Terminal-crimping mold

The connector includes a connector housing having a resilient locking arm for locking a terminal and a holder having an extended piece inserted into an insertion space of the connector housing. In an incomplete insertion state of the terminal, the locking arm deflects so that a free end surface of the locking arm protrudes from an inner wall of the insertion space to cause the extended piece to abut against the free end surface of the locking arm. Meanwhile, in a complete insertion state of the terminal, the extended piece is inserted into the insertion space to lie over the locking arm. The extended piece is longitudinally inclined toward the locking arm so that the extended piece can slidingly contact the inner wall of the insertion space. Preferably, the inner wall of the insertion space has an inclined portion at an intermediate portion of the inner wall for guiding the extended piece, and the free end surface of the locking arm is longitudinally positioned so as to cross the inclined portion when the locking arm is deflected.

Double locked terminal connector

A lock structure comprising a male connector housing, a female connector, an elastic lock arm, a lock-retaining portion and a correction portion. The female connector housing is to be fitted with the male connector housing in an opposing manner. The elastic lock arm is provided on one of the male and female connector housings and has a lock projection. The lock-retaining portion is provided on the one of the male and female connector housings that is not provided with the elastic lock arm. The lock projection of the lock arm is engageable with the lock-retaining portion. The correction portion corrects elastic deformation of the lock arm when the male and female connector housings are fitted together.

An electrical connector with a coupling state indicating mechanism is provided, which includes: a first connector having a semicylindrical projection; a second connector having a slider receiving portion and to be coupled with the first connector, the slider receiving portion being provided with a guide groove to guide the projection and with an abutting plane; and a slider to be slidably received in the slider receiving portion for indicating a coupling state of the first and second connectors, the slider having an engaging projection to prevent coming-off thereof, an oblique cam groove to receive the projection therein so as to slide the slider toward the abutting plane, a releasing groove continuing from the cam groove to release the projection from the cam groove when the first and second connectors have completely coupled so as to return the slider to an initial position, and a spring portion to abut on the abutting plane and to be compressively transformed to bring about a force to return the slider, wherein a curved surface of the projection slides on a wall of the cam groove so as to attain smooth sliding and a plane surface of the projection is parallel to the releasing groove so as to surely shift the projection from the cam groove to the releasing groove. Thus, the slider is moved and abuts on the abutting plane in a process of coupling the first and second connectors and then returns to the initial position upon complete coupling thereof.

An electric connector with a terminal locking member is provided, which includes: a housing main body with a terminal accommodating chamber; a front holder having a terminal accommodating portion and to be fitted to the housing main body; a terminal locking member having a terminal through hole provided with an engaging portion and to be arranged between the housing main body and the front holder freely movably; and an electric terminal to be accommodated in the housing main body through the terminal accommodating chamber, the terminal through hole, and the terminal accommodating portion, wherein the electric terminal accommodated in the housing main body is locked by the engaging portion. The electric connector may further includes a resilient locking piece provided on the housing main body so that the electric terminal accommodated in the housing main body is locked by the resilient locking piece in addition to the lock by means of the engaging portion of the terminal locking member.
