A method of determining IQ imbalance introduced on an RF multicarrier signal received via a channel on a direct conversion analog receiver is disclosed. In one embodiment, the method comprises i) receiving a training signal on the receiver, ii) demodulating the training signal on the receiver, iii) estimating a first frequency domain channel characteristic of the channel based on the demodulated training signal, iv) defining a predetermined relationship between a corrected frequency domain channel characteristic of the channel and the first channel characteristic, the predetermined relationship comprising at least one IQ imbalance parameter, and v) determining the at least one IQ imbalance parameter such that the corrected channel characteristic satisfies a channel constraint.

Method and system for estimating and compensating IQ imbalance

A method and device for measuring thermoelectric characteristics of a combinatorial sample. The method and device are useful for rapid sample evaluation, the investigation of thermoelectric materials, and the carrier control of semiconductors. The device includes combinatorial samples patterned with a metal mask, a pair of sample holders for applying a small temperature gradient to the sample, a thermocouple for measuring the temperature gradient, and a probe pin array in contact with the sample.

Whereby, even if receiving noise or interference are present during transmission, the control information can be prevented from being misjudged because the distance on the signal constellation is farthest apart from each other, so that the control information can be transmitted exactly.

A speaker unit includes a woofer having a diaphragm with an ellipse shape sound emitting opening, and a separate speaker having an ellipse shape diaphragm with an area smaller than that of the diaphragm of the woofer, located in front of the diaphragm of the woofer, attached to a center axis of the ellipse shape of the woofer coincident with that of the ellipse shape of the separate speaker, and emitting a sound higher in frequency than that of the woofer.

Present control information and past control information are formed into a pair to be assigned to one transmission symbol, so that a prescribed restricted condition is applied to the transmission symbol. A raw material supplying device having a gas tight tank for receiving a material to be gasified by heating; a heater for heating the raw material within the tank and a plurality of pipes for conveying a plurality of streams of gas in parallel to each other to a plurality of ports of a reaction apparatus, and a process for using the raw material supplying device. The raw material supplying device can be used in a system for manufacturing glass fibers in which the ends of the plurality of pipes are connected to the gas feed ports of at least one multi-layer burner.
