Sheet storing apparatus, post-processing apparatus and image forming system having the same

Provided is a sheet storing apparatus including a processing tray and a stack tray arranged respectively at the downstream side of a path sheet discharging port of a sheet discharging path and at the downstream side of the processing tray as forming a step respectively, and a reversing roller arranged at a tray sheet discharging port as being capable of rotating forwardly and reversely to convey a sheet conveyed from the path sheet discharging port selectively to the processing tray and the stack tray, so that a sheet to be conveyed to the processing tray from the path sheet discharging port is conveyed in a state of having corrugations formed thereon and a sheet to be conveyed to the stack tray from the sheet discharging port is stored at the stack tray in a flat shape as having the corrugations corrected after passing through the reversing roller.

Sheet storing apparatus

A sheet finishing apparatus includes a first conveyance path connected to a sheet conveyance inlet, a second conveyance path branching from the first conveyance path, a folding roller device disposed in the second conveyance path for folding the sheet, and a sheet discharge path arranged vertically parallel to the second conveyance path and guiding the folded sheet from the second conveyance path to a sheet conveyance outlet. The second conveyance path includes a first guide path located at a downstream side relative to the folding roller device and guiding a rear side of the sheet, and a second guide path located at an upstream side relative to the folding roller device and guiding a front side of the folded sheet conveyed from the folding roller device. A gate is formed for selectively guiding the folded sheet from the second guide path to the storage device or the sheet discharge path.

Sheet finishing apparatus and image forming apparatus equipped with the same

A sheet finishing apparatus includes first and second conveyance devices for conveying a sheet on a sheet conveyance path, a folding roller device for folding the sheet disposed between the first and second conveyance devices, a folded sheet conveyance path for conveying a folded sheet from the folding roller device, and first and second stopper devices. The first and second stopper devices are respectively disposed downstream and upstream of the sheet conveyance path relative to the folding roller device. The first stopper device positions and aligns a leading edge of the sheet, and guides the sheet conveyed by the first conveyance device to the folding roller device, and the second stopper device positions and aligns a trailing edge of the sheet, and transfers the sheet reversely by the second conveyance device to the folding roller device.

There is disclosed a sheet post-processing device which can staple a corner of a sheet bunch conveyed from an image forming device and makes a transverse width of a housing smaller or compact. By disposing a stapler in one end on a sheet processing tray inside a sheet conveying port, the transverse width of the housing is made smaller. For this purpose, the sheet post-processing stores sheets conveyed from the image forming device, matches the sheet bunch stored staples the matched sheet bunch and transfers the matched sheet bunch toward the other end of the sheet bunch and subsequently transfers the stapled sheet bunch toward one end of the sheet bunch.

Sheets post processing device including stapler for variable widths

There is disclosed a sheet accumulation processing device having a shielding mechanism of a sheet discharge opening which is simple in mechanism, low in cost and requires no complicated control. In the device, after an end of a sheet bunch sent via one end of a slit opening formed in a housing front face of the device is received by a sheet holding means disposed in the slit opening in a predetermined receiving position, the sheet holding means with the sheet bunch held therein is moved along the opening and, in a predetermined discharge position in the slit opening, discharges the sheet bunch onto a sheet accumulating tray in front of the housing. In the discharge position, a sheet holding section of the holding means is rotated forward and downward from its sheet-bunch holding condition and protruded forward from the housing front face, then releases the sheet bunch to place the sheet bunch onto the sheet accumulating tray. The slit opening in the discharge position changes from a closed condition to an opened condition dependent on the rotating movement of the sheet holding section, and subsequently changes from the opened condition to the closed condition dependently when the sheet holding section is retreated into the slit opening. The sheet holding section can thus be protruded and retreated via the housing front face.

Sheet accumulation processing device

An image forming device includes an image forming device main body having a discharge portion with a discharge opening for discharging a sheet from one side thereof, a loading tray provided at a top surface of the device main body and lower than the discharge opening for receiving the sheet discharged from the discharge opening, and a sheet finisher unit disposed above the loading tray. The sheet finisher unit includes a supporting device for supporting a conveying direction downstream side of the sheet discharged from the discharge opening, a finishing processing device disposed at one side of the supporting device for carrying out a finishing processing on the sheet supported on the supporting device, and a transfer device for transferring the sheet, which has been processed at the finishing processing means, to the loading tray. The supporting device constitutes the transfer device.

Image forming device with sheet finisher

A sheet post-handling device for aligning one or more sheets fed from an image forming apparatus such as a copying machine to a first tray in a sheet introducing direction, and transferring the sheets aligned from the first tray to a second tray in a sheet transferring direction perpendicular to the sheet introducing direction to store the sheets on the second tray. The sheets aligned into a sheaf of sheets are held by a holding member when being transferred from the first tray to the second tray, and delivered to a gripping means movable over the second tray so as to be softly landed on the second tray. Thus, the sheaf of sheets can be stably transferred from the first tray to the second tray while being reliably gripped by the gripping means, consequently being securely placed on the second tray without suffering damage. The sheets are stapled during being transferred from the first tray to the second tray.

Sheet post-handling device

A sheet handling device for accommodating, aligning and storing sheets fed from an image forming apparatus such as a copying machine is provided with front-side and rear-side aligning members for pressing the sheets stacked on a first storage means between the aligning members to stably and exactly align the stacked sheets. The front side aligning member is movable vertically or rotatable to open a sheet transferring passage so as to enable a sheet aligning mechanism in the sheet handling device to be operated in a small space, and thus, made compact. While transferring the aligned sheets from the first storage means to a second storage means, the aligned sheets are stably held by the front-side aligning member being in soft contact with the upper surface of the sheets being transferred.

Sheet handling device for continually fed sheets which are aligned and moved from first to second storage locations

A post-processing apparatus for detecting the leading or trailing edges, turning over at a turn-over route, stapling, punching, or otherwise finishing sheets sequentially discharged from an image forming machine. The sheet post-processing apparatus is capable of consistently binding or punching holes for filing stacks of sheets at a predetermined side of the stack regardless of the side onto which an image is formed.

Sheet post-processing apparatus

A sheet handling apparatus receives on a handling tray a plurality of sheets discharged from an image recording apparatus such as a printer, a copier or the like in a first direction, thereby forming a sheet stack of a series of sheets on the handling tray, and transfers the sheet stack onto an accumulation tray which is disposed with respect to the handling tray in a second direction which intersects the first direction. A first gripper grips the sheet stack on the handling tray and transfers it toward the accumulation tray in the second direction, and a second gripper which grips the sheet stack at an edge portion on the image recording apparatus side receives the sheet stack from the first transfer means after the first transfer means transfers the sheet stack by a predetermined distance in the second direction and transfers the sheet stack in the second direction.

Sheet handling apparatus

A sheet handling apparatus receives a plurality of sheets discharged by a discharge roller pair from an image recording apparatus on a first support member disposed below the discharge roller pair to form a stack of the sheets on the first support member and carries out handling on the stack of sheets. A second support member is supported to be movable back and forth between a projecting position where it is projected over the first support member and is able to support a rear end portion of a sheet discharged by the discharge roller pair with a front end portion of the sheet supported by the first support member and a retracted position where it is retracted from the first support member. A controller controls movement of the second support member.

Printed sheets discharged from a copying machine are fed by a sheet feed mechanism through a sheet reception slot and stacked selectively onto a non-sorting tray in a non-sorting process or a tiltable sorting tray among a plurality of sorting trays which is located in a sheet receiving position in a sorting process or a grouping process. The sorting tray in the sheet receiving tray is in a first posture in which it is inclined to a horizontal surface by an acute angle. The posture of the sorting tray is changed from the first posture to a second posture in which it is substantially horizontal when it is moved from the sheet receiving position to a sheet removal position. A pile of printed sheets stacked on the tiltable sorting tray in the sheet removal position is gripped by a gripper mechanism. The gripped pile of printed sheets is placed over a vertically movable inclined stacking tray, and then released onto the stacking tray.

Method of and apparatus for post-treating sheets with images recorded

A sheet post-treating apparatus has a horizontally disposed sorting tray to receive sheets. The sheets are discharged from the horizontally disposed sorting tray into a discharge tray. At least portions of the discharge tray can be moved vertically to accommodate varying height stacks of sheets.
