An electrochemical device includes a power generating element including a main portion and a terminal portion, the main portion including an electrode prepared by forming an active material layer on a metal foil surface, the terminal portion being provided on a side of the main portion, the terminal portion including layers of metal foils, an outer package including a container and a lid, the container including a side wall and a bottom wall and housing the power generating element, the lid being formed with a terminal, a current collector including a leg portion to which the layers of metal foils are attached, and a movement restricting member being arranged between the terminal portion of the power generating element and an inner surface of the side wall opposite the terminal portion. The movement restricting member includes a holding portion.

Electrochemical device

A battery cell () with two battery cell terminals () which are contactable from inside and/or outside the battery cell (), and an electrochemical part () comprising at least one separator. Upon the achievement of a predefined temperature, the at least one separator is at least partially impermeable to ions which can be generated in the electrochemical part (). The battery cell () has a rapid discharge unit (), which is connectable between the battery cell terminals () and which, in a switched-in and consequently activated state, has a predefined resistance value. The predefined resistance value is selected such that, with the rapid discharge unit () switched-in, the at least one separator achieves the predefined temperature.

An electrochemical device includes a power generating element, an outer package, a current collector, and a movement restricting member. The power generating element includes a main portion and a terminal portion. The main portion includes an electrode prepared by forming an active material layer on a metal foil surface of the electrode. The terminal portion is provided on a side of the main portion. The outer package houses the power generating element. The current collector is connected to the terminal portion of the power generating element. The movement restricting member includes a holding portion arranged between the side of the main portion of the power generating element and an inner surface of the outer package opposite the side of the main portion.

An energy storage element includes a container that includes a container body including an opening and a cap part formed on the opening, an electrode assembly housed in the container, an electrode terminal, and a current collector which electrically connects the electrode terminal and the electrode assembly. The cap part of the container includes an outer surface including a protrusion part formed to protrude outward from the outer surface, and an inner surface including a recess part formed at a position corresponding to a position of the protrusion part.

A non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery includes: a container; an electrode assembly; an electrode terminal; a current collector; and an internal insulation sealing member insulating the container and the current collector. The container includes a wall having an outer surface with a protrusion part protruding outward from the outer surface and an inner surface with a recess part formed correspondingly in position to the protrusion part. The recess part has an outermost bottom surface and an inner side surface formed continuously between the bottom surface and the inner surface of the wall of the container. At least part of the inner side surface of the recess part is tilted to the protrusion direction of the protrusion part. The internal insulation sealing member is between the current collector and the recess part of the container, and has side wall parts parallel to the at least part of the inner side surface.

An energy storage element includes: a container; an electrode assembly housed in the container; an electrode terminal; a current collector which electrically connects the electrode terminal and the electrode assembly; and an external insulation sealing member for insulating the container and the electrode terminal. The container includes a protrusion part having a through-hole for allowing penetration of the electrode terminal and protruding from the upper surface of the container. The electrode terminal is electrically connected to the current collector in a state where the electrode terminal penetrates through the protrusion part. The external insulation sealing member has a side part disposed along the side surface of the protrusion part, and the end surface of the end part of the side part at the side of the upper surface is apart from the upper surface.

Energy storage element and method for manufacturing the same

An energy storage element comprising: a container; an electrode assembly housed in the container; an electrode terminal provided in the container; and a current collector which electrically connects the electrode terminal and the electrode assembly, wherein the current collector is positioned inside the container, and includes: a base part connected to the electrode terminal; and arm parts which have a plate shape, extend from the base part, and are connected to the electrode assembly in a state that the plate-shaped arm parts sandwich the electrode assembly, and paired arm parts which are outermost two of the arm parts are apart from each other with a spacing larger than a width of the base part in a direction in which the paired arm parts are arranged.

A non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery including: a container; an electrode assembly housed in the container; an electrode terminal provided at the container; and a current collector which electrically connects the electrode terminal and the electrode assembly, wherein the container includes a wall having (i) an outer surface with a protrusion part formed to be protrude outward and (ii) an inner surface with a recess part formed corresponding in position to the protrusion part when the protrusion parts is formed, and the current collector includes a base part connected to the electrode terminal in the recess part and an arm part which extends from the base part in the direction opposite to the protrusion direction of the protrusion part, and is connected to the electrode assembly.

An electric storage device includes an electrode assembly and an outer case. The electrode assembly has at least one convex portion. The outer case accommodates the electrode assembly and has an inner wall with a recess in portion thereof opposite the at least one convex portion of the electrode assembly.

An assembled battery device comprising a plurality of single cells which are placed with a predetermined space between each of them and an element for detecting swelling is set in the predetermined space between the single cells and operates in accordance with the transformation of the single cells by swelling. Therefore, when a single cell swells and transforms, resulting from being overcharged, the element for detecting swelling is activated in accordance with such transformation and detects the state of overcharging.
