A controller of an injection molding machine stores used/unused information in relation to each of the maximum number of controllable servo amplifiers, outputs an interruption request signal requesting power interruption in a lump to apart of or all of these plurality of servo amplifiers, and receives a power interruption confirmation signal confirming that the motor power of the servo amplifiers is interrupted. Further, the controller determines, on the basis of the interruption request signal, the power interruption confirmation signal and the used/unused information, whether or not interruption driving the servo motor is normally operated.

An injection molding machine has a first servo amplifier configured to operate with a first voltage, a second servo amplifier configured to operate with a second voltage, and a transformer which has a primary side terminal and a secondary side terminal and transforms voltages mutually in a predetermined voltage ratio. A main power supply is connected to a primary side terminal or a secondary side terminal of the transformer, depending on whether a voltage of the main power supply supplied to the injection molding machine is equal to the first voltage or the second voltage, respectively. The first or the second servo amplifier is connected to a terminal of the transformer on the side where the main power supply is not connected.

An electric power panel used in an injection molding machine is formed of a box-like member mounted with an electrical component. An electric power panel mounting member secured to a bottom portion of the electric power panel is attached to a floorboard by means of a vibration absorber. The electric power panel mounting member has a width greater than a width of the box-like member in a depth direction, and the vibration absorber is disposed on either end portion of the electric power panel mounting member outside the box-like member.

An injection molding machine has a motor power interruption function such that it is determined whether or not the respective contents of preset first and second interruption criterion settings are different from each other. If the contents of the two settings are determined to be different from each other, then a third motor power interrupt signal is output so that at least one of first and second motor power interruption units is cut off in response to the output signal, thereby interrupting power supply to a motor.

A temperature regulator main body is connected to a cooling hole formed in a temperature regulating part under a hopper through a tube and comprises a tank for a cooling medium, a pump, a radiator, and a fan facing the radiator to send cold air and driven by a motor. By driving of the pump, the cooling medium circulates between the temperature regulating part under the hopper and the temperature regulator main body. A temperature sensor is provided to the temperature regulating part under the hopper. A controller for controlling an injection molding machine cools the circulating cooling medium by the fan and feedback controls the temperature of the temperature regulating part under the hopper when a temperature detected by the temperature sensor is higher than a preset temperature.

Heat-up characteristics are obtained individually for a plurality of heat zones of an injection molding machine. A heat-up time is obtained from the heat-up characteristic of each heat zone and the difference between a preset temperature and an actual temperature. A heat zone that requires the longest heat-up time is specified. Heat-up of each heat zone is controlled in accordance with the longest heat-up time.

A semiconductor switching circuit is connected to a DC power source for an inverter to control a servomotor in an injection molding machine, and a PWM signal controls an ON/OFF operation of a switching device in the semiconductor switching circuit so as to feed power to a heater of the injection molding machine. Since the DC power source feeds the heater with power, it is possible to overcome irregularity in power supply, and linearly vary a conducting time, thereby finely and accurately controlling a temperature. The DC power source for the inverter to control the servomotor also serves as a DC power source for the heater, resulting in no need for a special power source circuit.
