A displacement sensor having a rectangular shaped elastic member. A piezoelectric element is attached to a first main face of the elastic member. The piezoelectric element has a rectangular-shaped piezoelectric sheet and electrodes on both main faces of the piezoelectric sheet. The piezoelectric sheet is made of poly-L-lactic acid and is at least uniaxially-stretched. The piezoelectric element is attached so that the uniaxial-stretching direction of the piezoelectric sheet is 45° relative to a long-side direction of the elastic member. When the elastic member is bent along the long-side direction, the piezoelectric sheet is stretched along the long-side direction, and the piezoelectric element generates voltage of predetermined level.

Displacement sensor, displacement detecting device, and operation device

A displacement sensor having a rectangular shaped elastic member. A piezoelectric element is attached to a first main face of the elastic member. The piezoelectric element has a rectangular-shaped piezoelectric sheet and electrodes on both main faces of the piezoelectric sheet. The piezoelectric sheet is made of poly-L-lactic acid and is at least uniaxially-stretched. The piezoelectric element is attached so that the uniaxial-stretching direction of the piezoelectric sheet is 45&#xb0; relative to a long-side direction of the elastic member. When the elastic member is bent along the long-side direction, the piezoelectric sheet is stretched along the long-side direction, and the piezoelectric element generates voltage of predetermined level.

A pressing sensor is provided that includes a first sensor element that outputs a voltage corresponding to an amount of displacement in shape of a receiving unit that receives a press operation; a press operation determining unit that determines whether the receiving unit is in a state of receiving a press operation; and a setting unit that, after elapse of a first prescribed time from a point of time at which the press operation determining unit determines that the receiving unit has received a press operation, sets an absolute value of a threshold that is smaller than an absolute value of the threshold before elapse of the first prescribed time, the absolute value of the threshold representing a difference from a ground voltage value for determining whether the receiving unit has ended reception of the press operation.

Pressing sensor and electronic device for detecting the end of a press without error

An electronic device with pressing input function has a substantially rectangular parallelepiped housing. In the housing, a pressing sensor, a display panel, a protection member, and a computation circuit module are arranged. In the display panel, a polarization plate is arranged on a first side of a liquid crystal panel. In the pressing sensor, electrodes are formed on both planar faces of a piezoelectric film having double refractivity. The pressing sensor is arranged on the operation surface (the display face) side of the housing relative to the front polarization plate.

A display device includes a housing, an operation plate, an electrostatic sensor, a piezoelectric sensor, a controller, a storage unit, a display, and a communication unit. When an output voltage of the piezoelectric sensor indicates a first voltage value (V) or larger, the controller determines that the piezoelectric sensor has detected a change in a first pressing force and performs first processing. When an output voltage of the piezoelectric sensor indicates a second voltage value (V) or larger, the controller determines that the piezoelectric sensor has detected a change in a second pressing force. When the piezoelectric sensor detects the change in the second pressing force and the electrostatic sensor continuously detects a touch during a period from the detection of the first pressing force to the detection of the second pressing force, the controller executes second processing.

Electronic device

A capacitor is coupled in parallel with a piezoelectric unit in a sensor. The piezoelectric unit is formed by a film which is sandwiched between a signal electrode and a reference potential electrode. A capacitor is formed by a dielectric film located between the signal electrode and a reference potential electrode. As a result, the capacitance of the sensor element is higher than it would be if the sensor only contained the piezoelectric unit.

Piezoelectric element and bend detecting sensor

An operation input device having an exterior portion that includes a band portion extending in a belt shape and having flexibility and a housing; and a control unit () that is housed in the exterior portion and performs input processing based on a detection signal indicating detection of a predetermined operation. The operation input device is provided with a deformation detection unit that outputs a detection signal associated with a deformation of the band portion or a deformation of the housing to the control unit.

A pressing sensor that includes a pressing portion deformed by pressing, a piezoelectric sensor that generates a detection voltage based on the deformation amount, and a first current-voltage conversion circuit that converts a charge/discharge current for a capacitance of the piezoelectric sensor into a voltage signal and outputs the voltage signal. Moreover, a deformation amount detector obtains an integrated value of an output voltage and detects the integrated value as the deformation amount of the pressing portion. A minute vibration sensor detects presence or absence of minute vibration of the pressing portion according to presence or absence of a minute fluctuation state of the output voltage and an integration reset processor resets the integrated value in response to absence of the minute vibration.

Pressing sensor and electronic device

A press detecting sensor that includes an operation receiving member and a piezoelectric sensor. The operation receiving member is a multilayer rigid plate including a cover glass, a touch sensor and a display panel fixed via first bonding agents. The piezoelectric sensor includes a piezoelectric film, a first detecting member on a surface at a side of the operation receiving member of the piezoelectric film, and a second detecting member on a surface at a side opposite to the operation receiving member. The first detecting member is bonded to the operation receiving member by an adhesive member, and is bonded to the piezoelectric film by a second bonding agent.

Press detecting sensor

A piezoelectric sensor that includes a piezoelectric film, first and second adhesive layers, first and second plate electrodes and a glass plate. The piezoelectric film includes first and second principal surfaces. The first adhesive layer attaches the first plate electrode to the first principal surface. The second adhesive layer attaches the second plate electrode to the second principal surface. The second plate electrode is attached to the glass plate such that the second adhesive layer and the second plate electrode are interposed between the piezoelectric film and the glass plate. The glass plate is distorted by being pushed. The second adhesive layer is thicker than the first adhesive layer.

Piezoelectric sensor including a sensor unit having a first adhesive layer with different properties than a second adhesive layer

A pressing force sensor that includes a sensor element configured with a piezoelectric film, a lead terminal for connection to an external circuit, a wiring conductor which connects pressing force detection electrodes and the lead terminal, and a flexible printed circuit board which withstands solder reflow temperatures. The flexible printed circuit board has the pressing force detection electrodes formed on a first principal surface thereof, and is folded via a folding line while the first principal surface faces inward. The sensor element is deflected by a pressing force applied to a second principal surface which faces outward and is in a first area of the flexible printed circuit board which is on one side with respect to the folding line, and a signal corresponding to the pressing force is thus taken out from the pressing force detection electrodes.

Pressing force sensor

A pressure-detecting sensor that includes a piezoelectric sensor, a rectangular plate member, and an attaching member. The piezoelectric sensor is attached to the plate member via the attaching member so that the piezoelectric sensor is located in the vicinity of an end of the plate member in the longitudinal direction of the plate member, and such that the longitudinal direction of the piezoelectric sensor is parallel to the transverse direction of the plate member. The attaching member is composed of a sticky agent having an elastic constant of 10Pa or lower. The piezoelectric sensor has a shape having aspect ratio of 2.5 or higher.

Pressure-detecting sensor

A displacement detection sensor has a plate member and piezoelectric sensors with a piezoelectric film of PLLA. The piezoelectric sensors are mounted on the face of the plate member on the opposite side of the operation surface thereof. Tensile stresses are generated in the entire face of the plate member at pressing the operation surface. The piezoelectric sensor is mounted so that the direction of macro tensile stress in the plate member in the region in which the piezoelectric sensor is mounted and molecular orientation direction of the piezoelectric film intersect each other at an angle of 45&#xb0;. The piezoelectric sensor is mounted so that the direction of macro tensile stress in the plate member in the region in which the piezoelectric sensor is mounted and molecular orientation direction of the piezoelectric film intersect each other at an angle of approximately 45&#xb0;.

Displacement detection sensor and operation input device

A detecting sensor is disclosed that includes position detection electrodes provided on a surface of a board which has flexibility, and are provided at a distance in a planar direction. Furthermore, the detecting sensor includes an insulator film provided on the surface of the board that covers the electrodes; pressing force detection electrodes provided on a back surface of the board; and a pressing force detection electrode provided to oppose to the electrodes with a gap therebetween. Consequently, it is possible to provide the detecting sensor that can reliably receive a user's input operation and precisely detect a pressing position and a pressing force.
