The dewaxing aid of the present invention is a dewaxing aid including an ethylene-α-olefin copolymer (A) having a molar ratio [(a)/(b)] of (a) ethylene and (b) an α-olefin having 3 or more and 12 or less carbon atoms of 93/7 to 75/25, and having a weight average molecular weight of 10,000 to 500,000. According to the present invention, a dewaxing aid that is excellent in improving filterability can be provided.

Dewaxing aid

A lubricant additive includes a monoester carboxylic acid salt (A) represented by formula (1). In formula (1), Rrepresents a single bond between carbon atoms of carbonyl groups, or a divalent hydrocarbon group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, and Rrepresents a hydrocarbon group having 1 to 22 carbon atoms. AO represents an oxyalkylene group of one type selected from oxyalkylene groups having 2 to 4 carbon atoms, or a mixed oxyalkylene group of two or more types selected from oxyalkylene groups having 2 to 4 carbon atoms, and n is an average number of added moles of the oxyalkylene group represented by AO and is 0 to 5. M represents organic ammonium.

Lubricant additive, lubricant additive composition, and lubricating oil composition containing the same

A lubricant additive capable of imparting various functions to a lubricant base oil contains an ester compound (A) represented by formula (1) and an ester compound (B) represented by formula (2). (A):(B) being a mass ratio of the ester compound (A) to the ester compound (B) is 99:1 to 80:20.

A lubricating oil composition including 100 mass parts of (A) an ester compound, 0.05 to 1.5 mass parts of (B) an amine salt of an acidic phosphoric ester and 0.01 to 0.50 mass parts of (C) a monoesterified compound, wherein (A) the ester compound is an ester compound of trimethylolpropane, a straight-chain saturated fatty acid having a carbon number of 8 to 10 and adipic acid; (B) the amine salt is an amine salt of an acidic phosphoric ester; and (C) the monoesterified compound is a monoesterified compound of an alkane diol having a carbon number of 3 to 8 and of succinic acid having an alkyl group having a carbon number of 8 to 18 or an alkenyl group having a carbon number of 8 to 18.

Lubricating oil composition

A lubricant base oil composed of an ester. The ester includes a component (A) derived from trimethylolpropane in a molar percentage Aof 25 to 42 mol %; components (B) derived from monovalent straight-chain saturated fatty acids each having a carbon number of 8 to 12 in a molar percentage Bof 33 to 55 mol %: and a component (C) derived from adipic acid in a molar ratio Cof 12 to 34 mol %. The components (B) include lauric acid in a molar percentage of 5 to 50 mol %, and (B+C)/Ais 0.90 to 1.02. Arepresents a hydroxyl equivalent of the component (A), Brepresents a carboxyl group equivalent of the components (B); and Crepresents a carboxyl group equivalent of the component (C).

Lubricant base oil and lubricating oil composition

A lubricant base oil which contains an ester. The ester constituting the lubricant base oil includes: a component (A) derived from pentaerythritol in a molar percentage Aof 20 to 30 mol %; a component (B) derived from a straight-chain fatty acid having a carbon number of 14 to 22 in a molar percentage Bof 55 to 79 mol %; and a component (C) derived from adipic acid in a molar percentage Cof 1 to 15 mol %. A molar ratio (C/C) of the component (C) derived from adipic acid and the component (B) derived from the straight-chain fatty acid having a carbon number of 14 to 22 is 0.02 to 0.25, and the ester has a hydroxyl value of 10 to 100 mgKOH/g.

Lubricant base oil

The present invention provides a flow improver for oils and fats, by which a sufficient improvement in the flowability of oils and fats can be achieved, when oils and fats are used as fuels. This flow improver for oils and fats comprises a polymer including constitutional units (I), (II), and (III), and having a weight-average molecular weight in the range of 5,000 to 100,000. The molar fraction a of the constitutional unit (I) is in the range of 0.4 to 0.8, the molar fraction b of the constitutional unit (II) is in the range of 0.1 to 0.3, and the molar fraction c of the constitutional unit (III) is in the range of 0.1 to 0.3.

Flow improver for oils and fats

A fuel oil flow improver comprising the ester compound (A) below and the copolymer (B) below, which is the fuel oil flow improver in which the mass ratio [(A)/(B)] of the ester compound (A) and the copolymer (B) is from 30/70 to 70/30.    

Fuel oil flow improver and fuel oil composition

A flow improver for biodiesel fuels, comprising an &#x3b1;-olefin polymer with a weight average molecular weight of 50,000 to 500,000 that is obtained by polymerization of an &#x3b1;-olefin mixture (C), wherein the mole ratio (A)/(B) of an &#x3b1;-olefin (A) with 10 carbon atoms and an &#x3b1;-olefin (B) with 14 to 18 carbon atoms is (A)/(B)=10/90 to 60/40.

Flow improver for biodiesel fuels

The present invention provides a low melting point tin salt of aliphatic monocarboxylic acid obtained by a process comprising, reacting an aliphatic monocarboxylic acid having 4 to 30 carbon atoms or its salt and an inorganic tin compound so as to prepare a tin salt of aliphatic monocarboxylic acid, and bringing the tin salt in contact with an oxygen supplying substance.
