A power supply circuit is configured to supply electric power to a microcontroller. A power supply line and a GND line connect the power supply circuit with a component of the microcontroller. A capacitor portion has a series structure and connects the power supply line with the GND line. The capacitor portion is configured to suppresses a fluctuation in the supplied electric power.

Microcontroller with capacitors connected in series to suppress power fluctuation

A first circuit energizes a steering assist actuator to electrically assist steering of a driver. A second circuit is provided in a same housing as the first circuit and energizes a positional actuator to move a steering position. A controller operates the first and second circuits to control operations of the steering assist actuator and the positional actuator. The controller changes a priority between the first circuit and the second circuit in a start period, in which the steering control device is started, a normal operation period, in which the steering control device is operated normally, and a stop period, in which the steering control device is stopped. The priority includes at least one of an order of operating the first circuit and the second circuit, output allocation between the first circuit and the second circuit, and output magnitude between the first circuit and the second circuit.

Steering control device

An electronic control device includes a plurality of control circuit units, a signal line, and a sneak-in suppression circuit. The plurality of control circuit units are connected to separate grounds, respectively. The signal line connects a first control circuit unit and a second control circuit unit. When a system is defined as a combination of a component and a ground corresponding to a control circuit unit, the sneak-in suppression circuit suppresses a sneak-in of electric power from the ground of one system (i.e., a subject system) to the other system connected by the signal line for preventing a cascading failure.

Electronic control device

A rotary electric machine control device includes multiple drive circuits provided for respective winding sets in a rotary electric machine, and multiple control units. When combinations of the winding sets and configurations provided correspondingly to the respective winding sets are defined as systems, the control units are provided for the respective systems. Each of the control units controls energization of the winding set provided correspondingly, and monitors an abnormality of a monitoring target. Each of the control units performs an abnormality detection time backup control during a period from detection of the abnormality of the monitoring target to confirmation of the abnormality, and performs an abnormality confirmation time backup control when the abnormality is confirmed.

Rotary electric machine control device and electric power steering device using same

In a power source system, circuit units by the number of systems n or more are respectively connected correspondingly to power sources by the number of n (n is an integer of 2 or more). A common ground is all of the circuit units in common. A ground wiring portion establish node-to-node connection between (n+&#x3b1;) pieces of common ground nodes NC(1) to NC(n+&#x3b1;) provided in the common ground and (n+&#x3b1;) pieces of ground plane nodes NP(1) to NP(n+&#x3b1;) provided on a vehicle body in an independent manner, thereby enabling a simple configuration of redundant circuits that can withstand multipoint failures without separating the ground for each system.

Power source system

In a control device, control circuit units are connected to separate circuit power sources and to separate grounds. Ground monitor circuits respectively have a first resistor with one end connected to a voltage source, a second resistor with one end connected to an input terminal of a corresponding control circuit unit, and a capacitor. Among the one end of the first resistor, an other end of the first resistor, and the other end of the second resistor, at least one is connected to the subject system, and at least one is connected to an other system, and the control circuit unit monitors a ground abnormality of the other system based on a terminal voltage of the input terminal to which the second resistor is connected.

Control device

A rotary electric device control device controls driving of a rotary electric device including a plurality of winding sets. The rotary electric device control device includes: a plurality of drive circuits; and a plurality of control units. The control units include signal output units for outputting control signals to the drive circuits corresponding to the control units, respectively, and communicate with each other. The control units include: one master control unit; and at least one slave control unit. An electric power steering device includes: a rotary electric device control device; the rotary electric device that outputs an assist torque for assisting a steering operation of a steering wheel by a driver; and a power transmission unit that transmits a driving force of the rotary electric device to a drive target.

Rotary electric device control device and electric power steering device

A rotary electric device control device for controlling driving of a rotary electric device including a plurality of winding sets, includes: a plurality of drive circuits; and a plurality of control units that include signal output units for outputting control signals to the drive circuits corresponding to the control units, respectively. The one of the control units generates a control signal according to a command value calculated by each system, a host system detection value relating to a detection value of a host system, and another system detection value relating to another detection value of another system. An electric power steering device includes: the rotary electric device control device; the rotary electric device that outputs an assist torque for assisting a steering operation of a steering wheel by a driver; and a power transmission unit that transmits a driving force of the rotary electric device to a drive target.

Rotary electric device control device, and electric power steering device using the same

A rotation angle detector includes a voltage detector receiving a supply of voltage from a first power source and detecting a motor rotation regarding a motor, the motor rotation more specifically detected as (i) a rotation angle of the motor and (ii) a number of rotations of the motor. Also, a second power source is disposed separately from the first power source and supplying voltage to the voltage detector. Thus, even when the voltage of the in-vehicle battery lowers or the voltage supply therefrom is interrupted, the voltage supply to a voltage detector is continuous from the power storage device, thereby enabling a continuous detection of the rotation angle and the rotation number of the motor.

Rotation angle detector

A drive device that includes a rotating electric machine having a stator with a winding wound on the stator, a rotor rotatably disposed relative to the stator, and a shaft rotating together with the rotor. The drive device also includes a frame member fixed on the rotating electric machine. The drive device further includes a circuit board fixed on the frame member, with a first surface of the circuit board on a frame member side serving as a heat generation element mount surface. The drive device also has a drive element located on the first surface of the circuit board in a heat dissipatable manner, and serving as a component of an inverter that switches on and off to supply an electric current to the winding.

Drive device and electric power steering device including the drive device

A drive unit that includes a rotating electric machine, and a controller having a substrate with electronic components mounted on the substrate, and controlling a drive of the rotating electric machine. The drive unit also includes a first terminal electrically connected to the rotating electric machine or to a power supply, and a second terminal disposed on the substrate. The second terminal has an insertion hole into which the first terminal is inserted, and has a protruding shape protruding in parallel with an insertion direction or an anti-insertion direction of the first terminal. Also, the first terminal and the second terminal are in a resilient contact with each other.

Drive unit including terminals in resilient contact with each other

An electronic device includes a heat sink, where heat dissipating gel is interposed between the heat sink and a side of an electronic component, which is mounted on a substrate, opposite from the substrate. The electronic component includes an electrical conductor electrically connected to a chip, and an insulator portion that molds the chip with the electrical conductor. The heat sink includes a non-abutting surface that faces the electrical conductor of the electronic component, the heat dissipating gel interposed between the non-abutting surface and the electrical conductor, and an abutting surface that is positioned closer toward the substrate than the non-abutting surface is and abuttable with the insulator portion. Accordingly, when the abutting surface of the heat sink abuts the insulator portion of the electronic component, the non-abutting surface of the heat sink is prevented from abutting the electrical conductor of the electronic component.

Electronic device and drive device including the same

In a rotation detecting apparatus, a sensor includes a sensor element outputting a measurement value representing rotation of a detection target, and a circuit module. The circuit module includes a rotational angle calculator calculating, based on the measurement value, rotational angle information indicative of a rotational angle of the detection target. The rotational angle calculator generates a rotational angle signal including the rotational angle information. The circuit module includes a rotation number calculator calculating, based on the measurement value, rotation number information representing the number of rotations of the detection target. The rotation number calculator generates a rotation number signal including the rotation number information. An output unit outputs, as an output signal, a series of the rotational angle signal and the rotation number signal. A controller obtains the output signal from the communicator, and calculates, based on the output signal, information about the rotation of the detection target.

Rotation detecting apparatus and electric power steering apparatus using the same

A magnetic sensor of a sensor unit includes magnetic sensing elements, an encapsulating portion, a primary terminal group and a secondary terminal group. Another magnetic sensor includes magnetic sensing elements, an encapsulating portion, a primary terminal group and a secondary terminal group. The magnetic sensors are mounted on a common surface of a circuit board. The adjacent two magnetic sensors, which are oriented in a common direction, are arranged such that the secondary terminal group of one of the adjacent two magnetic sensors is opposed to the primary terminal group of the other one of the adjacent two magnetic sensors. A primary output terminal and a secondary output terminal are placed asymmetrically to each other with respect to a center line of the encapsulating portion.

A communication system includes a sensor apparatus transmitting a sensor signal including detection information of a detection target as a digital signal and a microcomputer receiving the sensor signal through a signal line and performing a control operation at a predetermined operation cycle based on the sensor signal that is received. The microcomputer transmits, to the sensor apparatus, a synchronization signal which is synchronized with the predetermined operation cycle of the microcomputer. The sensor apparatus transmits the sensor signal at a predetermined constant cycle except when the synchronization signal transmitted by the microcomputer is received. The sensor apparatus changes a transmission timing of the sensor signal corresponding to the synchronization signal when the synchronization signal transmitted by the microcomputer is received.
