Fuel tank to suppress damage upon input of a load or deformation to the tank body

Provided is a sliding member having a steel back metal layer and a sliding layer. The sliding layer includes a resin composition and a porous sintered layer including Fe or Fe alloy phase particles and a Ni&#x2014;P alloy phase functioning as a binder. The steel back metal layer is made of a carbon steel including 0.05 to 0.3 mass % carbon and includes a ferrite phase and a pearlite phase. A central portion in a thickness direction of the steel back metal layer includes not greater than 30 volume % of the pearlite phase. The steel back metal layer includes a high pearlite phase portion in its surface facing the sliding layer. The high pearlite phase portion includes not less than 50 volume % of the pearlite phase.

Sliding member

According to the present invention, there is provided a slide member for a shock absorber of a vehicle including a back metal, a porous sintered metal layer containing a porous sintered metal formed on the back metal and a resin with which the porous sintered metal is impregnated and covered, and a resin slide layer formed on the porous sintered metal layer and having a smooth slide surface, and the slide member is formed in a cylindrical shape so that the resin slide layer is disposed on an inner peripheral side. The resin slide layer is composed of polytetrafluoroethylene and a plurality of granular elements dispersed in the polytetrafluoroethylene, and the granular element is composed of molybdenum disulfide and molybdenum trioxide, and/or tungsten disulfide and tungsten trioxide.

Slide member for shock absorber of vehicle

Provided is a sliding member comprising: a steel back metal layer; and a sliding layer including a porous sintered layer and a resin composition. The porous sintered layer includes Fe or Fe alloy granules and a Ni&#x2014;P alloy part functioning as a binder for binding the Fe or Fe alloy granules with one another and/or for binding the Fe or Fe alloy granules with the steel back metal layer. The steel back metal layer is made of a carbon steel including 0.05 to 0.3 mass % of carbon, and includes: a non-austenite-containing portion having a structure of a ferrite phase and perlite formed in a central portion in a thickness direction of the steel back metal layer; and an austenite-containing portion having a structure of a ferrite phase, perlite and an austenite phase formed in a surface portion of the steel back metal layer facing the sliding layer.

Provided is a sliding member having: a back metal layer; and a sliding layer on the back metal layer. The sliding layer includes a porous sintered layer and a resin composition. The sintered layer includes Ni&#x2014;P alloy phase and granular steel phase made of a carbon steel including 0.3-1.3 mass % of carbon and having a structure of: ferrite phase; and perlite phase, or perlite phase and cementite phase. The Ni&#x2014;P alloy phase binds the steel phases with one another and/or binds the steel phases with the back metal layer. The steel phase includes a low perlite phase part in a surface. The low perlite phase part has an area ratio of the perlite phase lowered by 50% or more compared with a total area ratio of the perlite phase and the cementite phase at a central part of the steel phase when observed in a cross-section.

Provided is a sliding member including a steel back metal layer and a sliding layer with a porous sintered layer and a resin composition. The porous sintered layer includes granular Fe or Fe alloy phase and Ni&#x2014;P alloy phase for binding the Fe or Fe alloy phase grains with one another. The steel back metal layer is made of a carbon steel including 0.05-0.3 mass % of carbon and having a structure composed of ferrite phase and pearlite phase, and includes a low pearlite phase part in a surface thereof on a side of the sliding layer. The low pearlite phase part has a ratio of the pearlite phase is lowered by 50% or more compared with the pearlite phase at a central part in a thickness direction of the steel back metal layer. The Ni&#x2014;P alloy phase may cover the entire surface of the steel back metal layer.

A sliding resin composition is provided which hardly seizes by decreasing oil repellency of PTFE to prevent discharging of lubricating oil from sliding surface. That is, by using resin compositionwhere particles of PTFEin the surface of which inorganic compoundhaving oil-absorptivity is embedded are dispersed in synthetic resin, the inorganic compoundhaving oil-absorptivity absorbs and retains lubricating oil, and oil repellency of PTFEon the sliding surface can be decreased. Thus, discharging of the lubricating oil from the sliding surface can be inhibited and resin compositionhardly seizes.

Sliding resin composition

A sliding resin composition is provided which rapidly forms a transfer adhesion film of PTFE on the surface of a counter member at the initial stage of sliding. That is, in the case of using resin compositionwhich is in such a state that particles of PTFEhaving PTFE film forming agentembedded are dispersed in synthetic resin, when the surface of particles of PTFEon the sliding surface of resin compositioncontacts with the surface of an associated shaft, the PTFE film forming agentis also present at the contact portion, whereby transfer adhesion of PTFEto the surface of the associated shaft is accelerated and thus the time required for decrease of coefficient of friction can be shortened.

There is provided a sliding member having excellent frictional wear properties not only under non-lubrication and under oil-lubrication but also under boundary lubrication. The present invention provides a multilayer sliding member including a porous metal layer formed on a sheet of back metal and a resin layer impregnated into and coated on the porous metal layer, wherein the above described resin layer contains 1 to 25 vol % of an oxybenzoyl polyester resin, 0.1 to 5 vol % of a hard particle material, 1 to 5 vol % of an inorganic compound, and polytetrafluoroethylene. Particularly, the addition of the inorganic compound enhances the oil-retention property under boundary lubrication, so that the frictional wear properties under boundary lubrication can be improved pronouncedly.

Multilayer sliding member

An object of the present invention is to provide a sliding member which can slide for a longer period of time even in a dry state. In the present invention, sliding layersare provided on the surfaces of a base material, and the sliding layercontains polybenzimidazole (PBI) and 1 to 70 vol % of a solid lubricant. Since PBI, which is a thermoplastic resin, has higher heat resistance and also has higher material strength than PAI, PI, and EP, which are the conventionally used thermosetting resins, the wear resistance and the anti-seizure property can be improved and a decrease in material strength caused by high-temperature atmosphere, heat generation at the time of sliding, etc. can be restrained. Furthermore, the initial conformability can be improved because of high elongation percentage. Also, since the sliding layer contains the solid lubricant, the coefficient of friction can be decreased, and hence the anti-seizure property can be enhanced.

There is provided a double-sided sliding thrust bearing of a plate shape adapted to be in sliding contact with a counterpart on each of both faces of the thrust bearing, comprising a bearing structure provided with a plate-shaped base member having an anchor effect on each of both faces thereof, and a sliding layer having a thickness not less than 30 &#x3bc;m on each of the faces of said base member which sliding layer is made of a thermosetting resin-containing material. By making the thickness of the sliding layernot less than 30 &#x3bc;m, it becomes possible for the thrust bearingto slide shoes for a longer time even when being used in a dry state and the sliding layercomes to be hardly peeled off from the base memberbecause of the anchor effect of the base member. Further, the mechanical strength and thermal conductivity of the thrust bearingcan be improved by the base memberlocated between the sliding layers

Double-sided sliding thrust bearing

The invention provides a method of processing an inner surface of a bearing having a cylindrical shape which bearing includes a resin layer composed mainly of a synthetic resin as the inner surface, the method improving roughness of the inner surface and dimensional accuracy of an inner diameter of the bearing without cutting the inner surface. According to the method, the bearing is press-fitted into a jig and then the jig is mounted on a chuck. Next, a mandrel having a cylindrical bar shape is inserted into an inner diameter portion of the bearing and then the mandrel is heated by a heater up to 250&#xb0; C., for example. The mandrel is expanded due to thermal expansion by the heating so that the inner surface, i.e., a surface of the resin layer is pressed by a press face of a peripheral surface of the mandrel.

Bushcomprises back metal layermade from a steel plate and porous sintered metal layermade from copper, provided on the surface of back metal layerthrough copper plating layerand impregnated and coated with sliding materialwithin and on the surface of porous sintered metal layer, where sliding materialcomprises PTFE as the main component (not less than 50 vol. % of the entire material), 3-40 vol. % of Bi particles and/or Bi alloy particles, 1-40 vol. % of injection moldable fluororesin such as PFA, etc., 0.1-20 vol. % of hard particles such a W, AlO, etc., and 0.1-20 vol. % of a solid lubricant such as graphite, etc. The sliding material based on PTFE as the main component is free from lead and can further improve the wear resistance, while maintaining good sliding characteristics.

Sliding material

In order to obtain a sliding material which does not include lead particles and is harmless to the environment, there is provided a sliding material which includes, by volume, 3 to 40% bismuth particles but no lead particles, while having a low coefficient of friction and excellent wear resistance.
