A joint portion evaluating method for measuring and evaluating a joint state of a joint portion at which a first joint body and a second joint body are joined together, the joint portion evaluating method including the steps of: acquiring as a reference value a capacitance value of the joint portion in a reference measurement state serving as a reference for measurement conditions; changing a measurement state from the reference measurement state and acquiring as a measured value a capacitance value of the joint portion in a changed measurement state arising after the change of the measurement state; deriving as a measurement evaluation value a value obtained by referencing the measured value with the reference value; and performing an evaluation based on the derived measurement evaluation value.

A forming device includes: a forming jig extending along an axial direction; a forming die having a shape corresponding to a top part region and a wall part region of the forming jig; and a movement mechanism that moves the forming die so as to approach a bottom part region along a height direction HD. The forming die includes: a body part; a plate-shaped forming part that is attached to the body part so as to be swingable around a swing shaft; and a pressurization part that generates a pressurization force which causes a distal end part of the forming part to push a layered body against the wall part region when the forming die is moved by the movement mechanism so as to approach the bottom part region. In accordance with the distal end part, the part causes a contact surface to contact a region of the layered body.

A desired shape can be easily realized, and a decrease in strength can be inhibited. A method for producing a composite material includes: an insertion step of inserting an inner member in which a second reinforcing fiber is impregnated with a resin into a space of an outer member that is formed of a woven first reinforcing fiber extending in an undulating manner, the outer member including an opening that is provided at at least one end portion and the space that communicates with the opening; and a composite material forming step of forming a composite material in which the outer member and the inner member are joined to each other by curing the resin of the inner member to join the outer member and the inner member to each other.

Method for producing composite material

Provided is a method of manufacturing a metal nano coil which is suitable for mass production and results in a lower manufacturing cost. The method of manufacturing a metal nano coil includes the steps of: forming, with tension applied to a core member composed of nanofiber of a polymer, a metal thin film on a surface of the core member to fabricate a metal-covered nanofiber; reducing the tension of the metal-covered nanofiber; and heating, with the tension reduced, the metal-covered nanofiber to at or above a boiling point or a thermal decomposition temperature of the polymer and at or below the melting point of the metal thin film to vaporize the core member and shrink the metal thin film into a coil form, so that a hollow metal nano coil is produced.

Provided is an adhesive that can provide quick bonding between thermoplastic resins and excellent bond strength, a structure having adhesion provided by the adhesive, and an adhesion method using the adhesive. The adhesive bonds a first member () containing a thermoplastic resin or a carbon fiber reinforced thermoplastic resin and a second member () containing the thermoplastic resin or the carbon fiber reinforced thermoplastic resin. The adhesive includes a thermoplastic resin as a main component containing a metal nano material that absorbs electromagnetic waves and generates heat.

A fabrication method and a fabrication device capable of fabricating medium-scale mass production parts. The method of fabricating a composite material hollow part includes: holding a tool on a frame using a holding section that maintains a gap between the tool and the frame, placing a prepreg on the tool, covering the tool and the prepreg using a highly stretchable sheet, securing the highly stretchable sheet and the frame with a securing jig so that tension is applied to the highly stretchable sheet from the top portion of the prepreg where the highly stretchable sheet contacts the prepreg at the highly stretchable sheet and the outer periphery of both the tool and the prepreg to the edges of the highly stretchable sheet, thereby forming an enclosed space that houses the tool and the prepreg, and subsequently evacuating the inside of the enclosed space to wrap the prepreg around the tool.

A method for manufacturing a resin-based composite material includes: a stage in which prepregs are stacked on a jig; a stage in which the stacked prepregs and the jig are covered and pressurized heat treatment is applied thereto to form a first semi-molded article and a second semi-molded article; a stage in which board thicknesses of the first semi-molded article and the second semi-molded article are measured, a stage in which the number of additional plies is determined based on the measured board thicknesses, a desired board thickness of the resin-based composite material, and physical properties of the additional plies; and a stage in which a layered product is formed by stacking the predetermined number of additional plies between the first semi-molded article and the second semi-molded article, the layered product and the jig are covered with a bagging material, and pressurized heat treatment is applied thereto.

Method for manufacturing resin-based composite material

In manufacturing composite material by curing fluid, strength deterioration of the composite material due to repair before the fluid is cured is reduced. A suction hole is formed in a bag film () for sealing a space for fibers being impregnated with resin, after start of impregnation. The suction hole is covered by a plate () with holes (). The resin is sucked from the space through the plate (). According to such composite material manufacturing method, a defect, which occurs during fibers are impregnated with resin, can be repaired before the resin is cured without causing disorder and damage in the fibers. In a composite material formed from one repaired in the above way, the repaired portion is strong, namely, there is no strength deterioration due to repair after curing, and thus, the material is preferred as compared with a composite material which is repaired after resin is cured.

Composite material manufacturing device and composite material manufacturing method

A nondestructive inspection apparatus according to the present invention has a transmission-side probe configured to emit a first ultrasonic wave toward a test-target fluid, a plate through which a Lamb wave generated by the first ultrasonic wave is propagated when the first ultrasonic wave is propagated, and a reception-side probe configured to measure intensity of a second ultrasonic wave which is emitted from the plate and propagates through the test-target fluid. At this time, the nondestructive inspection apparatus can inspect the test-target fluid without bringing the transmission-side probe configured to emit the first ultrasonic wave and the reception-side probe configured to measure the second ultrasonic wave into contact with the test-target fluid.

Apparatus and method for nondestructive inspection

A manufacturing method and a manufacturing apparatus of a fiber reinforced composite material are provided, in which the whole fiber-based material is impregnated with a resin and a molding can be performed with high dimensional accuracy. A manufacturing method of a fiber reinforced composite material according to the present invention includes fixing a fiber-based material having a first surface to a first mold to provide an opening for the first surface; setting a second mold having a second surface such that the first surface faces the second surface through a space; filling resin into the space; and relatively moving the second mold and the first mold to bring the second surface closer to the first surface, such that the fiber-based material is impregnated with the resin.
