A serial axial fan includes a first axial fan, a second axial fan, and a rectifying portion. The second axial fan is on one side in the axial direction with respect to the first axial fan and is connected in series to the first axial fan with the rectifying portion interposed therebetween. The rectifying portion includes a chassis with a cylindrical shape surrounding the central axis, a rectifying blade portion extending to a radially inner side from a radially inner surface of the chassis, and an air feeding space on the radially inner side of the rectifying blade portion. The rectifying blade portion extends at least in the axial direction and is inclined relative to another side in the circumferential direction from another side in the axial direction toward the one side in the axial direction.

Serial axial fan

A blower includes a moving blade rotatable about a central axis, a motor to rotate the moving blade, a housing, and a substrate. The housing includes a holding portion below the moving blade to hold the motor, and a peripheral wall portion having a cylindrical shape extending upward from a radially outer end portion of the holding portion. The peripheral wall portion includes a peripheral wall recess recessed downward from an upper end of the peripheral wall portion and connecting a space radially inside and a space radially outside of the peripheral wall portion. The peripheral wall recess includes a first peripheral surface that opposes one circumferential direction opposite to a rotation direction of the moving blade, the first peripheral surface extending from an upper end of the peripheral wall recess toward a lower side of the peripheral wall portion.

Blower

A stator assembly includes a stator that opposes a rotor, which rotates about a central axis extending vertically, in a radial direction, a cover that accommodates an axially upper portion of the stator, a base portion that covers at least an axially lower side of the stator, and a circuit board that opposes the base portion in an axial direction and includes a sensor. At least one of the cover and the base portion includes a positioning portion, which is adjacent to the circuit board in the axial direction, the positioning portion being adjacent to the sensor.

Stator assembly, motor, and fan motor

A blower includes a moving blade, a motor, and a housing. The housing includes a holding portion located below the moving blade to hold the motor, and a peripheral wall portion having a cylindrical shape centered on the central axis and extending upward from a radially outer end portion of the holding portion. The peripheral wall portion includes a peripheral wall recess that is recessed downward from an upper end portion of the peripheral wall portion and connects a space radially inside of the peripheral wall portion and a space radially outside of the peripheral wall portion, and includes a first peripheral surface facing one circumferential direction that is opposite to a rotation direction of the moving blade. The first peripheral surface extends in one circumferential direction from the upper end of the peripheral wall recess toward the lower side.

An axial fan includes a rotor, a rotor blade, a stator, and a housing. The housing includes a stator holder made of metal, a base made of metal and widened outwardly in a radial direction from a lower end portion of the stator holder, a rib extending outwardly in the radial direction from the base, and a housing cylinder connected to a radial-directional outer end portion of the rib. The housing cylinder extends in an axial direction and accommodates the rotor blade therein. A wind tunnel space in which air flows is provided between the base and the housing cylinder in the radial direction. A radial-directional outer side surface of the base is exposed in the wind tunnel space.

Axial fan

A motor includes a stator unit and a rotor rotatable relative to the stator unit. The stator unit includes a stator, a resin portion, a support portion, and an annular recess. The stator includes a stator core, an insulator, and a conducting wire wound around the stator core with the insulator interposed therebetween. The resin portion covers at least part of the stator. The support portion supports the stator. At an end portion of the stator unit on one side in an axial direction, the recess is recessed toward another side in the axial direction. The resin portion is positioned further in a radially outer direction than the recess. The rotor includes an annular projection extending toward the other side in the axial direction. At least part of the projection is accommodated in the recess.

Motor and fan motor

A stator assembly includes a stator that drives a rotor rotatable about a central axis extending in a vertical direction, a cover that accommodates the stator, a filling portion that fills a space between the cover and the stator. The cover includes a tubular portion that extends in an axial direction and covers a radially side portion of the stator opposing the rotor in a radial direction, a lid portion that covers an axially upper end portion of the stator, and a cover stepped portion that is provided on a first radial side with respect to the tubular portion. The cover stepped portion comes in contact with the axially upper end portion of the stator and is positioned on an axially lower side with respect to an axially upper end portion of the tubular portion.

Stator unit, motor, and blower apparatus

A stator assembly includes a stator that drives a rotor that is rotatable about a central axis extending in a vertical direction, a stator support that supports the stator, and a filling portion that covers the stator. A first radial end portion of the stator is fixed to a second radial side surface of the stator support. An insulator of the stator includes an upper insulator covering an upper surface of a stator core. A first radial end portion of the upper insulator contacts the second radial side surface of the tubular stator support extending in an axial direction. An annular insulator concave portion that is recessed to the axial upper side is provided in the first radial end portion of the upper insulator. A first space, surrounded by the insulator concave portion, the stator core, and the stator support, is filled with a filling material.

In a fan motor, a stator unit of a motor that rotates an impeller includes a cylindrical bearing holder that extends in an axial direction, a cover that covers an end of the bearing holder on one side in the axial direction, and a seal provided between the bearing holder and the cover. The cover has a disc portion that is provided on the end on the one side in the axial direction and extends in the radial direction, and a cylindrical portion that extends from the disc portion to the other side in the axial direction, and is located inside of the end. The seal has a first seal portion located between an inner side face of the end and an outer side face of the cylindrical portion in the radial direction.

Stator unit, motor, and fan motor

A stator unit included in a motor includes a base member, an armature, a circuit board, and a mold resin portion. The base member extends substantially perpendicularly to a vertically extending center axis. The armature and the circuit board are positioned above the base member. The circuit board is electrically connected to the armature. The mold resin portion covers the armature and the circuit board. In a process of forming the mold resin portion, the base member is supported by a first mold. Then, the first mold is joined to a second mold such that a cavity is provided therebetween. In this step, the second mold is pressed against a projection provided on an upper surface of the base member and on a radially outer side with respect to the circuit board in plan view. The projection thus pressed is squashed. Subsequently, molten resin is injected into the cavity.

Stator unit, motor, and method of manufacturing stator unit

A stator unit included in a motor includes a base member, an armature, a circuit board, and a mold resin portion. The base member extends substantially perpendicularly to a vertically extending center axis. The armature and the circuit board are positioned above the base member. The circuit board is electrically connected to the armature. The mold resin portion covers the armature and the circuit board. In a process of forming the mold resin portion, the base member is firstly supported by a first mold.

In a fan motor, a stator unit of a motor that rotates an impeller includes an annular stator, the center of which is positioned on a central axis, and a housing including an accommodating portion that accommodates a part of a resin portion covering at least a part of the stator. At least one of a bottom face of the accommodating portion oriented to the stator in the axial direction and an inner side face of the accommodating portion oriented to an inner side in the radial direction is provided with a plurality of stepped portions. The stepped portions are different from each other in length in the axial direction when provided in the bottom face, and/or in length in the radial direction when provided in the inner side face. The bottom face, the inner side face, and the stepped portion are covered with the resin portion.

This stator unit includes a cylindrical bearing housing arranged to extend along a central axis extending in a vertical direction; a base member arranged to fix the bearing housing; a stator fixed to an outer circumferential surface of the bearing housing; and a mold resin portion arranged to cover the stator. The stator includes a stator core including a plurality of teeth arranged to project radially outward; an insulator arranged to cover a portion of a surface of the stator core; and a plurality of coils each of which is defined by a conducting wire wound around a separate one of the teeth with the insulator therebetween. A sealing agent is arranged between at least two of the outer circumferential surface of the bearing housing, the stator core, and the insulator.
