A liquid discharge apparatus includes a liquid discharge head, a driving signal output circuit that outputs a driving signal, and a circuit substrate that is electrically coupled to the driving signal output circuit and the liquid discharge head. The circuit substrate includes a first surface, a second surface different from the first surface, a first terminal group, and a second terminal group. The first terminal group includes a plurality of first terminals and is provided on the first surface. The second terminal group includes a plurality of second terminals and is provided on the second surface. The number of first terminals which are electrically coupled to the driving signal output circuit and to which the driving signal is input is smaller than the number of second terminals which are electrically coupled to the liquid discharge head and from which the driving signal is output.

In a liquid discharge apparatus, a circuit substrate includes a first terminal group provided on a first surface and a second terminal group provided on a second surface. The first terminal group includes a first terminal to which a first signal is input, a second terminal to which a second signal is input, and a third terminal to which a reference voltage signal is input. The second terminal group includes a fourth terminal electrically coupled to the first terminal, a fifth terminal electrically coupled to the second terminal, and a sixth terminal electrically coupled to the third terminal. The first terminal and the second terminal are arranged side by side. The third terminal is not located between the first terminal and the second terminal. The fourth terminal and the fifth terminal are arranged. The sixth terminal is located between the fourth terminal and the fifth terminal.

A liquid discharge apparatus includes a liquid discharge head configured to discharge a liquid, a first wire and a second wire to which a first drive signal and a second drive signal for driving the liquid discharge head is respectively supplied, and a single relay substrate configured to relay the first drive signal and the second drive signal from the first wire and the second wire to the liquid discharge head. The single relay substrate includes a first connector configured to be connected to the first wire, a second connector configured to be connected to the second wire, and a relay connector configured to be connected to a head-side connector of the liquid discharge head. The relay connector outputs, to the head-side connector, the first drive signal supplied from the first wire to the first connector, and the second drive signal supplied from the second wire to the second connector.

A liquid discharge apparatus includes a discharge head, a drive substrate provided with a signal generation circuit to generate a first and a second signal and an output connector to output the first and second signal, a first and second wire to supply the first and second signal to the discharge head, and a relay substrate to relay the first and second signal from the drive substrate to the first and second wire. The relay substrate includes a relay connector to be connected to the output connector, a first connector to be connected to the first wire and to output the first signal supplied from the output connector to the relay connector to the first wire, and a second connector to be connected to the second wire and to output the second signal supplied from the output connector to the relay connector to the second wire.

A liquid discharge apparatus includes: an modulation circuit that generates a modulated signal by pulse-modulating a source signal through self-oscillation; a transistor that amplifies the modulated signal to generate an amplified modulated signal; a low-pass filter that includes an inductor and a capacitor and smoothes the amplified modulated signal to generate a drive signal; a feedback circuit that allows the drive signal to return to the modulation circuit; a piezoelectric element that is displaced by application of the drive signal thereto; a cavity that is filled with a liquid inside and has an internal volume which changes when the piezoelectric element is displaced; and a nozzle that is provided to discharge the liquid inside the cavity in response to the change of the internal volume of the cavity. In this configuration, a self-resonant frequency of the capacitor is higher than a frequency of the self-oscillation.

Drive circuit for driving a capacitive load

A drive circuit for driving a capacitive load is provided. The drive circuit includes a modulation circuit that generates a modulated signal by pulse-modulating a source signal through self-oscillation; a pair of transistors that include a high-side transistor and a low-side transistor and amplify the modulated signal to generate an amplified modulated signal; and a low-pass filter that includes a capacitor and smoothes the amplified modulated signal to generate a drive signal which is applied to the capacitive load, wherein the shortest distance between a low-side transistor and the capacitor is shorter than a shortest distance between the high-side transistor and the capacitor.

There is provided a liquid discharging apparatus including: an integrated circuit device; a transistor which generates an amplification modulation signal amplified from a modulation signal pulse-modulated from a source signal based on an amplification control signal; a low pass filter which demodulates the amplification modulation signal and generates a driving signal; and a piezoelectric element which is displaced as the driving signal is applied, in which the integrated circuit device includes a modulation portion which generates the modulation signal; a gate driver which generates the amplification control signal based on the modulation signal; and a charge pump circuit which supplies power to the gate driver, and is included in a package which has a first side and a second side that are adjacent to each other in a plan view, in which the package includes a plurality of package terminals, which are electrically connected to the charge pump circuit.

A shortest distance between the low-side transistor and the capacitor is shorter than a shortest distance between the high-side transistor and the capacitor.
