In case of a trouble in any unit network of a communications network system which comprises a plurality of unit networks, communications are relieved and reliability of communications is improved. A time division multiplexer includes a plurality of multiplexing units and a plurality of terminal adapters. Each multiplexing unit is connected to one or more terminal adapters by a respective bus. The time division multiplexer further includes a repeating adapter which has a memory. The repeating adapter is connected to two or more multiplexing units to be accessed for temporary storage of the data to be repeated from one to the other.
