Ti, N, Al, Mg, and Ca concentrations are controlled in order to prevent aggregation of TiN inclusions. Furthermore, not only is a Fe&#x2014;Cr&#x2014;Ni alloy having superior surface property provided, but also a method is proposed in which the Fe&#x2014;Cr&#x2014;Ni alloy is produced at low cost using commonly used equipment. The Fe&#x2014;Cr&#x2014;Ni alloy includes C&#x2264;0.05%, Si: 0.1 to 0.8%, Mn: 0.2 to 0.8%, P&#x2264;0.03%, S&#x2264;0.001%, Ni:16 to 35%, Cr: 18 to 25%, Al: 0.2 to 0.4%, Ti: 0.25 to 0.4%, N&#x2264;0.016%, Mg: 0.0015 to 0.008%, Ca&#x2264;0.005%, O: 0.0002 to 0.005%, freely selected Mo: 0.5 to 2.5% in mass % and Fe and inevitable impurities as the remainder, wherein Ti and N satisfy % N&#xd7;% Ti&#x2264;0.0045 and the number of TiN inclusions not smaller than 5 &#x3bc;m is 20 to 200 pieces/cmat a freely selected cross section.

Fe&#x2014;Cr&#x2014;Ni alloy and method for production thereof

Provided is an Fe&#x2014;Ni&#x2014;Cr alloy that has excellent surface characteristics and enables formation of a blackened coating having excellent blackening characteristics and peeling resistance. The Fe&#x2014;Ni&#x2014;Cr alloy has a chemical composition containing, by mass %, C, Si, Mn, P, S, Cr, Ni, Mo, Co, Cu, N, Ti, Al, O, and H, the balance being Fe and inevitable impurities, and satisfying formulae (1) to (4): (1) T1=11&#xd7;[% N]+0.1; (2) T2=&#x2212;39&#xd7;[% N]&#x2212;1.0; (3) A1=7.5&#xd7;[% N]+0.1; (4) A2=&#x2212;42.5&#xd7;[% N]+1.0, where [% M] represents content (mass %) of element M in the alloy, and T1, T2, A1, and A2 satisfy relationships T1&#x3c;[% Ti]&#x3c;T2 and A1&#x3c;[% A1]&#x3c;A2.

Fe&#x2014;Cr&#x2014;Ni&#x2014;Mo alloy and method for producing the same

A boron-containing stainless steel having excellent hot workability and weldability and a good surface quality is proposed and is a boron-containing stainless steel comprising C: 0.001-0.15 mass %, Si: 0.1-2 mass %, Mn: 0.1-2 mass %, Ni: 5-25 mass %, Cr: 11-27 mass %, B: 0.05-2.5 mass %, Al: 0.005-0.2 mass %, O: 0.0001-0.01 mass %, N: 0.001-0.1 mass %, S: not more than 0.005 mass %, one or both of Mg: 0.0001-0.005 mass % and Ca: 0.0001-0.005 mass % and the remainder being Fe and inevitable impurities provided that a part of Si, Al, Mg, Ca and S is included as a non-metallic inclusion made of sulfide and/or oxysulfide.

The invention is a Fe&#x2014;Ni alloy material comprising Ni: 26&#x2013;37 wt %, Si: 0.001&#x2013;0.2 wt %, Mn: 0.01&#x2013;0.6 wt %, Al: 0.0001&#x2013;0.003 wt %, Mg: not more than 0.001 wt %, Ca: not more than 0.001 wt % and the reminder being Fe and inevitable impurities, and containing not more than 0.02 wt % of one or more MnO&#x2014;SiO&#x2014;AlOinclusion, SiOinclusion and MgO&#x2014;AlOinclusion insoluble in an aqueous solution of ferric chloride, and is to provide electronic materials for shadow mask and the like having a good hole shape in an etching treatment and a high quality.
