A superconducting bulk magnet comprising a plurality of superconducting bulk materials combined, in which breakage of superconducting bulk materials is prevented and a strong magnetic field can be generated, that is, a superconducting bulk magnet comprising a plurality of superconducting bulk materials, each comprising a single-crystal formed REBaCuO(RE is one or more elements selected from Y or rare earth elements, where 6.8&#x2264;y&#x2264;7.1) in which REBaCuOis dispersed and each provided with a top surface, a bottom surface, and side surfaces, combined together, in which superconducting bulk magnet, bulk material units, each comprising a superconducting bulk material and a bulk material reinforcing member arranged so as to cover a side surface of the same, are arranged facing the same direction and contacting each other to form an assembly, a side surface of the assembly is covered by an assembly side surface reinforcing member, a top surface and bottom surface of the assembly are respectively covered by an assembly top reinforcing member and an assembly bottom reinforcing member, and the assembly side surface reinforcing member, the assembly top reinforcing member, and the assembly bottom reinforcing member are joined into an integral unit, is provided.

Oxide superconducting bulk magnet

An oxide superconducting bulk magnet member includes a plurality of bulk sections that have outer circumferences with outer circumferential dimensions different from each other and are disposed in a manner such that among the outer circumferences, an outer circumference in which the outer circumferential dimension is relatively large surrounds a small outer circumference; and interposed sections that are disposed between a pair of the bulk sections that are adjacent to each other, wherein a gap is formed between the bulk sections adjacent to each other, each of the bulk sections is an oxide bulk in which an REBaCuOphase is dispersed within an REBaCuOphase, and a bulk section having the smallest outer circumferential dimension among the bulk sections has a columnar shape or a ring shape, and bulk sections other than the bulk section having the smallest outer circumferential dimension have a ring shape.

Oxide superconducting bulk magnet member

A substrate material for the preparation of an oxide superconductor includes two different rare earth elements A' and A' in the IIIa group, Ga, and 0, the atomic ratio of these elements being expressed as A'1-xA'xGaO.sub.3 (where 0&lt;x&lt;1), and a mixed crystal material forming a perovskite-type structure having a composition of AGaO.sub.3 with A being at least one of the two rare earth elements A' and A' in the IIIa group, a substrate material for preparing an oxide superconductor includes a mixed crystal material made up of Nd, La, Ga, and O in an atomic ratio of La.sub.1-x Nd.sub.x GaO.sub.3 wherein 0.2.ltoreq.x&lt;1.0, the substrate material forming a GdFeO.sub.3 -type structure; a substrate material for preparing an oxide superconductor includes a mixed material made up of Nd, A.sup.1, Ga, and O in an atomic ratio of A.sup.1.sub.1-x Nd.sub.x GaO.sub.3 where A.sup.1 is a rare earth element excluding La and Nd, and 0.2.ltoreq.x&lt;1.0, the mixed crystal material forming a GdFeO.sub.3 -type structure. A method for the preparation of the oxide superconductor, or a semiconductor, includes forming an intermediate layer of a mixed crystal material of two different rare earth elements A' and A' in the IIIa group, Ga, and O. The atomic ratio of these elements is expressed as A'1-xA'xGaO.sub.3 (where 0&lt;x&lt;1) and the mixed crystal material has a perovskite-type structure whose composition is AGaO.sub.3 with A being at least one of the two rare earth elements A' and A' in the IIIa group.
