The present invention provides a crosslinked polymer composition exhibiting significantly improved elongation at break over conventional ones, and a polymer composition and a polyrotaxane, each of which can be used as a raw material of the crosslinked polymer composition. The polyrotaxane contains a linear molecule, a cyclic molecule, and a blocking group, wherein the cyclic molecule has a hydrosilyl group. The polymer composition contains the polyrotaxane and a polymer, wherein the polymer has a double bond on at least either a main chain or a side chain. The crosslinked polymer composition is produced by crosslinking of the polymer composition through chemical reaction between the hydrosilyl group of the cyclic molecule and the double bond of the polymer.

A method of producing a sealing member for a fuel cell includes: setting a base material made of a modified polypropylene in a mold; bringing a hydrosilicone crosslinked ethylene/&#x3b1;-olefin/non-conjugated diene copolymer into contact with the base material and performing molding in the mold; and vulcanizing the hydrosilicone crosslinked ethylene/&#x3b1;-olefin/non-conjugated diene copolymer and at the same time, bonding the hydrosilicone crosslinked ethylene/&#x3b1;-olefin/non-conjugated diene copolymer and the base material by vulcanization, in the mold with a molding temperature set to a temperature that is higher than a vulcanization start temperature of the hydrosilicone crosslinked ethylene/&#x3b1;-olefin/non-conjugated diene copolymer and lower than a melting point of the modified polypropylene.

A weather strip includes an ethylene-&#x3b1;-olefin-nonconjugated diene copolymer rubber composition having a volume resistivity of no less than 1.0E+6 &#x3a9;&#xb7;cm and having a specific gravity of less than 1.30, the rubber composition including: carbon black in an amount of 40 parts by mass to 140 parts by mass; and at least one polymer having a specific gravity of no more than 1.8 and an ethylene content of no more than 70 wt % and at least one polymer having a specific gravity of no more than 1.8 and an ethylene content of no less than 70 wt % in a collective amount of 5 parts by mass to 50 parts by mass, per 100 parts by mass of an EPDM polymer. At least a mount base of the weather strip, which is to be mounted to a car body, is formed of the rubber composition.

A rubber composition contains: at least one rubber component selected from the group consisting of an ethylene propylene diene rubber, a chloroprene rubber, a nitrile rubber, and an acrylic rubber; 1.5 to 30 parts by mass of a fluorene-modified cellulose nanofiber per 100 parts by mass of the rubber component; and 30 to 120 parts by mass of a carbon-based filler per 100 parts by mass of the rubber component. A method of producing a rubber composition comprises: kneading a dispersion of a fluorene-modified cellulose nanofiber in a process oil and a rubber component to prepare a kneaded material; and mixing a vulcanizing agent into the kneaded material.

Rubber compositions and methods of producing rubber compositions

A rubber includes 5 parts by mass to 45 parts by mass of an uncross-linked EPM relative to 100 parts by mass of a cross-linked rubber polymer (other than EPM), and an oil in an amount equal to or more than the amount of the EPM. The rubber is foamed and has a specific gravity of more than 0.3 and 0.8 or less. A weather stripand a hoseare formed of the rubber.

A foam rubber molded produce obtained by molding a rubber composition containing 100 parts by mass of ethylene-&#x3b1;-olefin-nonconjugated diene copolymer, 4 to 30 parts by mass of amorphous 4-methyl-1-pentene copolymer, 2 to 8 parts by mass of blowing agent, and a sulfur-based vulcanizing agent, and having a Mooney viscosity after kneading (ML1+4, 100&#xb0; C.) of 54 or less. PP, an EPDM prior to crosslinking, and PE particles are fed into a twin screw extruder and melt-kneaded so that the EPDM is dynamically crosslinked, whereby a sliding material for weather strips formed of an olefin-based TPV in which the PE particles are dispersed is produced. The amount of the PE particles blended is 10 parts by mass to 90 parts by mass with respect to 100 parts by mass of the total amount of the PP and the EPDM. It is preferable that the PE particles have an average particle diameter of 30 &#x3bc;m to 200 &#x3bc;m before the feeding, and are micronized by the melt kneading to have an average particle diameter of 10 &#x3bc;m to 50 &#x3bc;m in the produced sliding material for weather strips.

Method of producing sliding material for weather strips

A rubber composition includes, as essential components, an EDPM polymer, a carbon black, an electrical insulating amorphous or spindle-shaped filler, a softener, and a sulfur-based vulcanizing agent as essential components, and also includes, as an optical component, an electrical insulating plate-shaped filler. An air hose for an automobile, which has a two-layered structure of an inner tube made of an NBR composition and an outer cover made of a CSM composition, wherein the NBR composition satisfies (A) and (B) below: (A) an unvulcanized NBR in which an amount of AN is 30 to 50 and a Mooney viscosity (ML (1+4) 100&#xb0; C.) is 50 to 90, is vulcanized in the presence of 0.5 to 7.0 parts by mass of a thiuram compound serving as a vulcanization accelerator, 0 to 2.5 parts by mass of 4,4'-dithio dimorpholine, and 2.0 to 7.0 parts by mass of a thiazole compound to 100 parts by mass of the unvulcanized NBR; and (B) 5 to 50 parts by mass of a plasticizer having a molecular weight of 700 to 2,000 is blended to 100 parts by mass of the unvulcanized NBR.

The present invention relates to a rubber material containing an EPDM rubber composition containing an EPDM rubber, a carbon black, a softening agent, a vulcanizing agent and a sulfur compound, in which a blending amount of whole components from which the vulcanizing agent and the sulfur compound are excluded is from 300 to 400 parts by weight, and a total sulfur blending amount is from 1.0 to 2.8 parts by weight, in which a blending ratio of carbon black/softening agent is from 1.8 to 2.5, and in which the EPDM rubber composition has a Mooney viscosity of from 70 to 100 at 100&#xb0; C., and a vulcanized composition thereof has a rate of rigidity change satisfying the following equation (1):{(30% Modulus at 100&#xb0; C./30% modulus at 23&#xb0; C.)&#x2212;1}&#xd7;100%&#x2267;&#x2212;10%&#x2003;&#x2003;(1).
