The present invention relates to a manufacturing method for an optical multiplexer provided with: a substrate having a first main surface and a second main surface that are parallel to each other; a mirror disposed on the first main surface; and an optical filter disposed on the second main surface. This method includes: a step for placing the mirror on the first main surface of the substrate, performing angular adjustment between the substrate and the mirror using an autocollimator, and then fixing the mirror to the substrate; and a step for placing the optical filter on the second main surface of the substrate, performing angular adjustment between the substrate and the optical filter using the autocollimator, and then fixing the optical filter to the substrate.

Method of manufacturing an optical multiplexer

An optical axis adjustment method for an integrated optical module includes: measuring output currents by changing a wavelength of a light beam incident on a package; detecting, with first and second light receiving elements, light beams resulted from demultiplexing the incident light beam with first and second filters; detecting center wavelengths of a first light beam and a second light beam based on a change in the output currents in response to a change in the wavelength of the incident light beam; comparing the center wavelengths of the first light beam and the second light beam with design transmission wavelengths of the first filter and the second filter, and defining respective differences as a first wavelength deviation and a second wavelength deviation; and adjusting a position of the optical demultiplexer to make a total sum of the first wavelength deviation and the second wavelength deviation small.

Optical axis adjustment method, manufacturing method, and optical axis adjustment device for integrated optical module

An optical module and a manufacturing method improve positioning accuracy between parts. A barrel and a lens holder are prepared, the lens holder is fitted into a cylindrical portion from a collar portion side of the barrel, and the barrel and the lens holder are assembled. In one case, the barrel and the lens holder are assembled with a brazing material. The assembled barrel and lens holder are heated, and the brazing material is melted to braze the barrel and the lens holder. Lens glass is sandwiched between metal dies and a lens is press-molded using a pressing apparatus. In one case, positioning of press molding uses the barrel which has a small linear expansion coefficient.

Optical module and manufacturing method thereof

A projection-type image display apparatus includes a first reflecting optical element and a second reflecting optical element that are retained on a base. A base-side first positioning unit and a base-side second positioning unit are formed integrally with the base. The base-side first positioning unit abuts against the first reflecting optical element to define a position of the first reflecting optical element. The base-side second positioning unit abuts against the second reflecting optical element to define a position of the second reflecting optical element.

Projection apparatus

In an image-displaying screen that is formed of a plurality of plates having lens structure, the reliability of the fixing between the plurality of plates is enhanced. A screen that displays an image includes a lenticular lens plate and a Fresnel lens plate that is fixed to the lenticular lens plate by thermal welding. Because the lenticular lens plate and the Fresnel lens plate are thus fixed together by thermal welding, the fixing strength between the lenticular lens plate and the Fresnel lens plate is not deteriorated by repeated distortion of the welded portion, as would be caused by temperature variations etc. when a welding agent is used to fix them. This enhances the reliability of the fixing between the lens plates.
