A sensor unit capable of protecting a piezoelectric element and detecting vibration and sound is provided. The sensor unit comprises a sheet-like piezoelectric element having a porous layer, and a sound propagation sheet covering at least one face of the piezoelectric element and permitting transmission of sound from a first face toward a second face of the sound propagation sheet. A difference in acoustic pressure level between the sound incident on the sound propagation sheet and the transmitted sound is preferably no greater than 10 dB. A surface density of the sound propagation sheet is preferably from 0.03 g/mto 100 g/m. The sound propagation sheet is preferably flexible and preferably has voids. The sensor unit preferably further comprises a sound insulation sheet covering another face of the piezoelectric element and substantially preventing transmission of sound from a second face toward a first face of the sound insulation sheet.

Sensor unit and musical instrument

A piezoelectric element comprising an electrode layer (B) on at least one surface of an electret material (A) having pores inside, wherein a porosity of the electret material (A) is 20 to 80%, the electrode layer (B) contains 20 to 70 mass % of a carbon fine particle, and a thickness of the electrode layer (B) is 2 to 100 &#x3bc;m.

Piezoelectric element and musical instrument

An energy conversion film, which can hold a larger amount of charges by pores in the inside of the film and has high energy conversion performances, is provided, by obtaining a porous resin film with a high expansion ratio without adopting an expansion treatment with a high-pressure gas by forming a thermoplastic resin stretched film having a specified structure. The energy conversion film includes a core layer (A) having specified pores and composed of a thermoplastic resin stretched film including a thermoplastic resin and at least one of an inorganic powder and an organic filler.

A hub-side leading edge part of a fan first-stage rotating bladefor taking an air thereinto more extends in a forward direction of an engine than a tip-side leading edge part and a mid-span leading edge part. The hub side of the fan first-stage rotating bladeis integrally connected as one with the tip side and the mid span while having a longer chord length than those of the tip side and the mid span. A radius at a root of the hub-side leading edge part is set in a boss ratio of 0 to 0.4.

Turbofan engine

A turbofan engine of the invention is provided with a fan first-stage moving blade for taking an air therein, and a spinner rotationally driving the fan first-stage moving blade, the spinner has a spiral blade extending spirally to an outer side in a radial direction, sucking the air from a front face of the spinner and supplying the air to the fan first-stage moving blade. Further, the fan first-stage moving blade and the spinner are integrally coupled, and the spiral blade and the fan first-stage moving blade are formed such that blade surfaces are smoothly connected.

A sound insulation/absorption structure, a sound insulation/absorption device, and a structure having these applied thereto and a member constituting the same, are capable of insulating or absorbing sound by stiffness control. The sound insulation/absorption structure comprises a film member, such as a polymer film or metal foil, and a frame body having at least one annular opening, the film member being fixed to the frame body, the section of the film member surrounded by the frame body being of a curved shape such as a dome, wherein the resonance frequency of the in-plane stretching of this curved shape is set at a frequency equal to or higher than the audible frequency band, so as to insulate or absorb sound by the elastic force of the film. The film member may be replaced by an acrylic, polyethylene terephthalate or other plastic plate, an aluminum or other metal plate, or a veneer or other plate member, molded into a curved shape, such as a dome, a semi-cylinder and a cone.

An axial flow compressor is provided with a rotor blade row () which is formed such that an outlet cross sectional area is larger than an inlet cross sectional area so as to reduce a speed in an axial direction and reduce a pressure difference between a positive pressure surface and a negative pressure surface. Further, a stator blade row () is provided in a downstream side of the rotor blade row (). An output cross sectional area of the stator blade row () is structured such as to be smaller than an inlet cross sectional area of the rotor blade row ().

Axial flow compressor

An elastic wave control element includes a piezoelectric material which is inserted into a propagation path for an elastic wave or installed in an oscillator to allow the elastic wave in a selected frequency to be damped, reflected, or transmitted. The piezoelectric material is provided with a pair of electrodes between which a negative capacitance circuit is connected to allow a loss factor of the negative capacitance circuit in a selected frequency or frequency band to be matched with a dielectric loss factor of the piezoelectric material.
