An image reading apparatus includes a reading module. The reading module includes a linear light source that extends in a direction intersecting a moving direction in which the transport unit relatively moves and irradiates a document with light via a transparent member, an image forming element that condenses the light reflected from the document, and a light receiving element that receives the light condensed by the image forming element. The linear light source is disposed such that a main optical axis of the linear light source is inclined at a first angle with respect to a normal direction of the transparent member in the moving direction, and the image forming element is inclined at a second angle in the same direction as the inclination of the main optical axis of the linear light source.

Image reading apparatus and reading module

A detection device includes a light source which emits light, a lens, a light transmissive protecting plate, a length between the light source and the light transmissive protecting plate being larger than a length between the lens and the light transmissive protecting plate, and a light receiving element which receives the light. An angle formed by an optical axis of the lens and the light transmissive protecting plate is smaller than an angle formed by an optical axis of the light source and the transmissive protecting plate.

Detection device and biological information measuring device

An imaging optical mechanism includes a first concave mirror and a second concave mirror at a position shifted from the first concave mirror in a sub-scanning direction. A plurality of aperture members in which slits are formed is disposed between the first concave mirror and the second concave mirror. The first concave mirror reflects light incident from an original document so as not to be imaged at a position between the first concave mirror and the second concave mirror in the sub-scanning direction, and reflects light incident from the original document so as to be imaged at the position between the first concave mirror and the second concave mirror in a main scanning direction. The second concave mirror reflects light which is reflected by the first concave mirror and incident thereto, so as to be imaged at a position of a sensor.

Imaging optical mechanism, reading module, and image reading apparatus

An object of the present invention is to provide a display device capable of narrowing the area of the frame. In order to achieve this object, the display device according to the present invention has a substrate having a plurality of arranged display elements and a wiring layer of a power source on the peripheral side; a bank layer for mutually separating the display elements; an electrode layer for covering the plurality of display elements and the bank layer; and a sealing substrate for further covering the electrode layer by joining the peripheral portion of the substrate and the sealing portion circling around the periphery via a joining element such as an adhesive; wherein the periphery of the sealing substrate is positioned inside the periphery of the substrate, and the peripheral portion of the electrode layer is connected to the wiring of the power source within the sealing portion.

Display device with a narrow frame

An illuminating device includes a light emitting element constituted of a light emitting diode, and a light guide plate including a light receiving section provided on a side face and opposed to the light emitting element. The light guide plate emits illuminating light from a first surface. The light receiving section includes a plurality of cylindrical lens surfaces each formed of a concave curved surface oriented such that an axial direction of the curved surface is parallel to a thickness direction of the light guide plate, the cylindrical lens surfaces being aligned in a direction orthogonal to the axial direction. The cylindrical lens surface is formed of an arcuate surface having a curvature radius of 0.5 mm or less, and more preferably 0.2 mm or less.

Illuminating device, display device, and portable electronic device

A display device includes a display member and a lighting device that illuminates a display surface of the display member. The lighting device includes a light transmissive substrate arranged opposite to the display surface of the display member and a light source that emits light source light toward between the display member and the light transmissive substrate. A correction member that corrects an incident range of light, which proceeds from the light source to the light transmissive substrate, of the light source light is provided between the light transmissive substrate and the light source. A reflection member that reflects a part of light, which proceeds from the light source to the display member, of the light source light to the light transmissive substrate is provided between the display member and the light source.

Lighting device and display device

A light divider includes a light guide having first and second surfaces that reflect light incident on the guide and cause the light to propagate through a portion between the first and second surfaces. A first light dividing layer on the second surface reflects part of the light having propagated through the guide and transmits part thereof so that the light is divided into light fluxes. A first transparent piece on the second surface in a position where the light that the first light dividing layer has transmitted is incident, the first transparent piece having a first reflection surface that reflects the incident light, a second transparent piece that is provided on the second surface in a position where the light reflected off the first light dividing layer and reflected off the first surface is incident, the second transparent piece has a second reflection surface that reflects the incident light.

Light divider

A light-emitting device includes a light-reflecting layer, a first electrode disposed on or above the light-reflecting layer, a semi-transparent reflective second electrode, a light-emitting function layer disposed between the first electrode and the second electrode, and an electron-injection layer disposed between the light-emitting function layer and the second electrode. The second electrode is made of an Ag alloy having an Ag content of from 50% by atoms to 98% by atoms.

Light-emitting device, electronic equipment, and process of producing light-emitting device

A CISM includes a lens array in which a plurality of lenses is arranged in a row form so that the optical axes are parallel to one another, and an incident optical image is formed from one end side in the optical axis direction of the lens array, thereby forming an image on the other end side. The CISM includes a light blocking member in which a plurality of through holes that allow light to pass through is provided in a row form in the arrangement direction. In the light blocking member, the inner wall surface of the through holes that intersects the arrangement direction includes reflection surfaces that intersect a sub-scanning direction. The reflection surfaces reflect light incident on the same reflection surface in a direction that intersects the arrangement direction.

Imaging optical element

An image reading device including an illumination unit that has a light guide body guiding light of a light source that is facing one longitudinal end surface of the light guide body to an object to be read; and an image forming optical device that is parallel to the light guide body, has a lens array with an incidence surface in which lens surfaces are arranged in the longitudinal direction of the light guide body, and condenses reflected light from the object which is incident on the incidence surface, thereby forming an erect equal-magnification image on a sensor. The image reading device further includes a frame on which is disposed the image forming optical device. A second frame projects in a direction away from the first frame and connects to the first frame, or the frame connects to an H-shaped cross-section frame.

Image reading device

A light guide inserted into an inclined groove is disposed so as to partially overlap with a lens unit that is fitted into a concave groove disposed parallel to the inclined groove when seen in a plan view, to regulate the separation of the lens unit from the concave groove and hold the lens unit in an insertion state by the light guide. Therefore, a fixing unit such as an adhesive agent is not required in fixedly disposing the light guide and the lens unit at a predetermined position of a frame, and a CIS module is assembled without using an adhesive agent, thereby allowing the CIS module that is easily disassembled when being discarded and that improves recycling efficiency to be provided.

A light emitting element includes a reflective layer disposed in a substrate, a first electrode disposed through the reflective layer, a second electrode having translucent reflectivity, a plurality of organic material layers including a light emitting layer disposed between the first electrode and the second electrode, and a light emitting region defined by the first electrode, the second electrode, and the light emitting layer. A first organic material layer of the plurality of organic material layers has a first layer thickness in a first sub region within the light emitting region and has a second layer thickness, which is different from the first layer thickness, in a second sub region within the light emitting region.

A document illumination device includes a light-conducting member in which is formed a base surface that extends along a lengthwise direction, an irradiation surface that extends along the lengthwise direction and is tilted in the widthwise direction relative to the base surface, and a side surface that extends in the lengthwise direction and connects the base surface to the irradiation surface; a scattering member that is provided opposing the base surface and the side surface and that scatters light emitted from the base surface and the side surface; and a light source provided opposing a lengthwise direction-end surface of the light-conducting member.
