A deformation detection sensor is provided that includes a detection electrode, a first ground electrode, a piezoelectric film sandwiched between the detection electrode and the first ground electrode, a substrate on which the detection electrode and a second ground electrode are formed, a wiring connected to the detection electrode, and a joint member that joins the wiring and the detection electrode.

An electronic device is provided that includes a first display unit including a first display; a second display unit including a second display disposed on a side of the first display and being rotatable with respect to the first display unit about a rotation axis extending in a front-rear direction such that an angle formed by the first and displays change; an angle and angular velocity acquisition unit that acquires the angle formed by the first and second displays and angular velocity of the angle; and a control unit that, when a user rotates the second display unit with respect to the first display unit, determines whether a horizontal direction of a video to be displayed on the first and second displays is made to match a vertical direction or a left-right direction based on the angle and the angular velocity acquired by the acquisition unit.

An electronic device is provided in which a capacitance of a capacitor that is formed between one or more reference second touch sensor electrodes and at least one first touch sensor electrodes is defined as a first reference capacitance with the capacitor formed when the touch sensor is folded along a folding line. Moreover, a capacitance of a capacitor formed between a left second touch sensor electrode and at least one of the plurality of first touch sensor electrodes is defined as a left capacitance. Furthermore, a capacitance of a capacitor formed between a right second touch sensor electrode and at least one of the plurality of first touch sensor electrodes is defined as a right capacitance. Using these capacitances, a determining unit of the electronic device can determine that a touch sensor is folded if both the left and the right capacitances are greater than the first reference capacitance.

Electronic device and method of determining whether touch sensor is folded

A pressing sensor is provided that generates an output voltage of a first polarity by deforming with an operation plate when a part of a user's body touches the operation plate, and generates the output voltage of a second polarity by deforming with the operation plate when the part of the user's body is moved away from the operation plate. Moreover, a calculation unit calculates an electrical parameter integral value by time-integrating an electrical parameter that changes with the output voltage generated by the pressing sensor. The electrical parameter has a third polarity when the output voltage has the first polarity and has a fourth polarity when the output voltage has the second polarity. The calculation unit calculates a subtraction electrical parameter integral value obtained by subtracting a predetermined value having the third polarity per unit time from the electrical parameter integral value.

A display device includes a housing, an operation surface, a position sensor, a press sensor, and a display unit. The position sensor detects a touched position on the operation surface. The press sensor detects a press on the operation surface. The display unit displays an image. When the press sensor detects a pressing amount not smaller than a first threshold, a control unit sets, as a rotation axis of a three-dimensional image, a direction orthogonal to the sliding direction of the touched position detected in the position sensor. The control unit then rotates the three-dimensional image in accordance with the sliding direction of the touched position detected in the position sensor.

A capacitive sensor that includes a plurality of capacitance detection electrodes, an insulating substrate, a plurality of capacitance detection electrodes and an insulating substrate. A piezoelectric sensor includes a press detection electrode, a piezoelectric film, a plurality of press detection electrodes and an insulating substrate. The piezoelectric film includes a top surface on which the press detection electrode and wires are formed. The insulating substrate includes a top surface on which the plurality of press detection electrodes and wires are formed. The piezoelectric film includes a cutout portion through which part of the wires of the insulating substrate are exposed. A normal direction of an inner corner of the cutout portion of the piezoelectric film does not match with a uniaxial stretching direction of the piezoelectric film.
