In a bending machine, there is provided at one back gauge abutting part () a plurality of contact confirmation sensors for confirming the contact thereof with a workpiece; and there is included control means driving a ram () on the conditions of ON of all the sensors automatically or manually specified among these contact confirmation sensors and ON of a foot pedal () when the workpiece is abutted.

Bending machine

In bending a workpiece, a position of the workpiece relatively pressed down by a punch is directly detected by a plurality of position detectors provided in a V-groove of a die, and a bending speed calculation section obtains a bending speed from a change in this position. If bending speeds at position of the respective position detectors differ, a uniform speed arithmetic operation section calculates a bending speed to make the bending speeds at the positions of all of the position detectors, and a driving shaft instruction section controls driving shafts to bend the workpiece at the uniform bending speed.

Bending method and bending device

A plate thickness detector for a bending machine causes a punch to make a relative stroke and bend a workpiece mounted on an upper surface of a die cooperatively by the punch and the die. A displacement gauge is provided in the die, is always urged upward from a V-groove of the die, and measures a distance from the upper surface of the die to a lower surface of the workpiece. A ram position detector detects a relative stroke quantity of the punch to the die. The punch is caused to bend the workpiece from a position away from the die by a reference inter-blade distance. A plate thickness arithmetic operation section inputs the relative stroke quantity of the punch at a point at which descent of the workpiece is detected by the displacement gauge or a predetermined point after the point, inputs the displacement quantity of the displacement gauge at this time using ram position detector, and detects the plate thickness of the workpiece by subtracting the detected relative stroke quantity from the reference inter-blade distance and adding the displacement quantity detected by the displacement gauge to the subtraction result.

A process a plate workpiece with high precision at high speed, the plate processing machine comprises a workpiece side surface positioning device (SPD) provided with magnet rollers (MR); a workpiece trimming device (TD) provided with a tool actuating switch (SW); and a workpiece positioning device (PD) provided with an optical sensor (SE). The magnet rollers guide a workpiece forward in magnetic rotatable contact engagement with the side surface of the workpiece. The tool actuating switch is actuated before the workpiece is located at a trimming position for automatic trimming operation. The optical sensor generates a feed speed deceleration signal so that a fed workpiece will not apply shock to the stop member of the positioning device by adjusting the sensor position relative to the stop surface according to the workpiece length to be cut.

Plate workpiece processing machine

In a plate processing machine such as punch press provided with a workpiece moving/positioning device (49) including a carriage base (53) movable in the longitudinal Y-axis) direction of the machine and a carriage (69) movable in the lateral (X-axis) direction of the machine, a carriage drive unit of an X-axis motor (79) and a reduction gear (77) for moving the carriage is disposed near a middle portion of the carriage base to balance the workpiece moving/positioning device, so that workpiece processing precision can be improved. Further, the width of a caterpillar table (82) fixed to the carriage base between two movable tables (81) also fixed to the carriage base is reduced to prevent vibration of the caterpillar table, so that scratches under the surface of a workpiece can be reduced. Furthermore, a caterpillar carry table (93) is disposed behind a process position where a tool set is arranged remote from the caterpillar table in synchronism with the caterpillar table in motion so as to be inclined front down to carry out processed parts in the same rearward direction.

Plate processing machine

A plate processing device for use in a machine with a vertically acting ram; has a guide device mounted on the frame and a guide member which is pressed to a sliding surface of the ram. The guide member freely rotates around the centerline of the first vertical shaft and also freely rotates around the centerline of the second shaft perpendicular to the first shaft and parallel to the sliding surface and is constructed so that it follows the sliding surface of the ram. Also, a back gauge for the work is buffered against the shock of abutment with the workpiece and may be backed away from the workpiece. A pressing plate for the workpiece is supplied by a high pressure and a low pressure plunger, which are vertically actuated to provide a noiseless operation.

Plate processing device having guide means for a vertical ram

A tapping machine has a plurality of punches for punching a plate-shaped workpiece and extruding or plunging the punched holes and a plurality of tapping units for carrying out the tapping operation continuously in the tapping machine. A free positional workpiece transfer-and-position device is provided which moves the plate-shaped workpiece in the longitudinal and transverse directions of the work area of the machine. The plurality of punches are provided in the direction transverse to the longitudinal direction of the machine. First operating means provide an operating force for the tapping units and second operating means provide an operating force for the punches.

Tapping machine

A shearing machine is so arranged that the ram, when vertically moved, is resiliently guided by spring guides and is driven in such a manner as to be kept urged into contact with the guides. The shearing machine is provided with hold-down clamps which can firmly hold the work-sheet being sheared without damaging the work-sheet. A hydraulic pump for the the hold-down clamps is provided with a large diameter piston which will supply a large amount of flow under low pressure and damp the surge and a small diameter piston which will supply a small amount of flow under high pressure. The shearing machine is also provided with hold-up supports which will hold up the work-sheet being sheared to prevent the work-sheet from bending and curling. The shearing machine also has with a back gauge which can be used to set the widths or lengths into which the work-sheet is to be sheared but can be moved out of the way.

Shearing machine

A shearing machine is disclosed comprising a detector for detecting the thickness of a workpiece placed on a work table, a clearance adjusting mechanism for moving at least one of the upper and lower blades towards and away from the other to adjust the clearance therebetween, a shear angle adjusting mechanism for adjusting the inclination of the blades with respect to each other, and a controlling system for controlling the adjustment of both of the adjusting mechanisms according to the thickness of the workpiece detected by the detecting means.
