According to an embodiment, a work support device includes a measurement unit and an irradiation control unit. The measurement unit measures an in-passage structure of a passage inside of which a user can work. The irradiation control unit controls an irradiation unit to emit light indicative of a work region to a corrected work position obtained by correcting work position information set based on a predetermined designed in-passage structure indicative of an ideal structure in the passage by using a result of the measurement by the measurement unit.

According an embodiment, a work support device includes an arm unit, a brake unit, a state determination unit, and a brake control unit. The arm unit includes a grasping part configured to grasp an object, a plurality of joint parts, and a plurality of link parts actuatably coupled through each joint part. The brake unit is provided to at least one of the joint parts to restrict actuation of the arm unit. The state determination unit determines the state of the arm unit. The brake control unit controls the brake unit to restrict actuation of the arm unit in accordance with the state of the arm unit.

A robot system includes a robot including a plurality of fingers for holding a target object and a control device configured to control a motion of the robot. The control device includes one or more processors. The processors acquire an image of a first target object and a second target object taken by an imaging device. The processors control the motion of the robot based on the image such that the robot moves the first target object with at least one finger included in the fingers in a direction in which a gap is formed between the first target object and the second target object, inserts at least one finger included in the fingers into the gap, and holds the first target object.

A conveyance apparatus according to an embodiment includes a fork unit, a lift unit, a movable cart unit, an auxiliary leg, and a distal end support mechanism. The lift unit is configured to drive the fork unit upward and downward. The movable cart unit is configured to support the lift unit and be movable on a traveling surface by driving a drive wheel. The auxiliary leg unit is provided for the movable cart unit, and is movable along a longitudinal direction of the fork unit and having an auxiliary wheel a position of which is changeable relative to the movable cart unit. The moving mechanism is configured to move the holder. The sensor is provided at the holder or the moving mechanism. The parameter estimator is configured to estimate at least one parameter relating to the object based on a result of detection acquired by the sensor during the test operation.

According to one embodiment, a cargo handling apparatus includes a first mechanism, a second mechanism, a holding unit, a third mechanism, a fourth mechanism and a conveyor. The first mechanism is movable in a first direction. The second mechanism is connected to the first mechanism and is movable on a first horizontal plane intersecting the first direction. The holding unit is connected to the second mechanism and holds an object to be picked up. The third mechanism is arranged below the first mechanism, the second mechanism and the holding unit, and is movable in the first direction. The fourth mechanism is connected to the third mechanism and is movable on a second horizontal plane opposed to the first horizontal plane. The conveyor is connected to the fourth mechanism, and loads and conveys the object held by the holding unit.

According to an embodiment, a transfer apparatus includes a gripper, a first driving mechanism, an elastic passive joint part, a conveyor, a second driving mechanism, and base. The gripper grips an article. The first driving mechanism linearly moves the gripper in at least two directions including a first direction and a second direction intersecting with the first direction. The elastic passive joint part is interposed between the gripper and the first driving mechanism, and operates in accordance with an operation of the gripper. The conveyor conveys the article. The second driving mechanism linearly moves the conveyor in the at least two directions, and is connected to the conveyor. The base supports the first driving mechanism and the second driving mechanism.

The first linear motion member is supported by the base and is movable in a first direction. The second linear motion member is supported by the first liner motion member and is movable in a second direction crossing the first direction. The moving conveyor is supported by the second linear motion member and includes a belt for conveying an article. The extraction arm is provided on a side of the moving conveyor, extracts the article and places the article on the belt. The holding part is provided at an end of the extraction arm and holds the article.
