An electrical connector includes an insulating housing provided with a plurality of first contacts. Each of the first contacts has a tine that extends toward an outside of the insulating housing that is bent at a right angle with respect thereto. A tine plate is mounted on a side of the insulating housing. A circuit board is arranged adjacent to the undersurface of the tine plate and spaced there from. The tines extend through first through-holes in the tine plate and first through-holes in the circuit board. The tine plate has at least one first recess provided on the undersurface of the tine plate that encompasses at least one of the first though-holes on the tine plate. Molten solder is provided in the first through-holes in the circuit board and forms a fillet on the tines that extends toward the undersurface of the tine plate.

Electrical connector

A crimping structure for a conductor utilizes a crimp barrel, wherein the crimp barrel has a plurality of crimping parts that are provided continuously along an axial direction of the conductor. The crimp barrel is formed such that the widths of the plurality of crimping parts are different from each other in the expanded state, and the plurality of crimping parts are compressed to a uniform height along the axial direction.

Crimping structure and crimping method

A circuit board mounted connector is equipped with an insulative housing, which holds a plurality of rows of contacts and is mounted on a circuit board. Each contact has a contact portion, for contacting another connector; and a leg portion, which is connected to the circuit board. Each leg portion has an extending portion that extends from a rear wall of the insulative housing; a flexible portion, which is formed continuously with the extending portions; and a linear portion that extends in a direction substantially perpendicular to the circuit board from the flexible portion and is connected to an aperture of the circuit board. Of the plurality of rows of contacts, at least the row closest to the circuit board has extending portions that extend away from the circuit board, up to the flexible portions. The linear portions of each of the leg portions are partially tin plated.

A board-mount electrical connector capable of maintaining favorable solderability of a connecting section of a terminal for a long term and preventing occurrence of a whisker in a bent section of the terminal is provided. The electrical connector includes a plurality of terminals each having at one end a contact section which contacts a mating contact and having, at the other end, a connecting section which connects to a circuit board. A bent section is located in a middle portion between the contact section and the connecting section. An insulating housing holds the plurality of terminals. On each terminal, a bright tin-plated layer and a semi-bright tin plated layer are formed on respective surfaces of the contact section and the connecting section leaving the surface of the middle portion unplated by tin such that the semi-bright tin-plated layer is thicker than the bright tin-plated layer.

A circuit board mounted connector is equipped with an insulative housing, which holds a plurality of rows of contacts and is mounted on a circuit board. Each contact has a contact portion, for contacting another connector, and a leg portion, which is connected to the circuit board. Each leg portion has an extending portion that extends from a rear wall of the insulative housing; a flexible portion, which is formed continuously with the extending portions; and a linear portion that extends in a direction substantially perpendicular to the circuit board from the flexible portion and is connected to an aperture of the circuit board. Of the plurality of rows of contacts, at least the row closest to the circuit board has extending portions that extend away from the circuit board, up to the flexible portions. The linear portions of each of the leg portions are partially tin plated.

An electrical connector comprises an insulating housing and first contacts secured to the housing. Each of the first contacts has the same shape and includes a housing securing member, a contact member extending from a first end of the housing securing member, and a circuit board connecting member extending from a second end of the housing securing member that is offset from the contact member. The first contacts are arranged such that adjacent circuit board connecting members of the first contacts are arranged at substantially the same pitch. A plurality of the first contacts is inverted by substantially 180 degrees, and the contact members of the first contacts inverted by substantially 180 degrees and adjacent contact members of the first contacts not inverted by substantially 180 degrees are arranged at a pitch different from the pitch of the circuit board connecting members.

A surface mount technology connector comprises a housing provided with a plurality of contacts. At least one metal fitting is fixed to a sidewall of the housing. The metal fitting has a base and a soldering section for soldering to a circuit board. The base has a smaller width than the soldering section. The soldering section extends from a substantial center of the base with respect to the width thereof. The soldering section and a portion of the base extend approximately perpendicular to and away from a bottom of the sidewall of the housing. The sidewall of the housing has a solder viewing section at each side of the base. The solder viewing section retracts inward as the solder viewing section approaches the soldering section to expose the soldering section at the bottom of the sidewall of the housing.

SMT connector

A compliant pin comprises a contact portion, an end portion, and a press-fit portion. The press-fit portion is arranged between the contact portion and the end portion. The press-fit portion is deformable in a radial direction. The press-fit portion has a first tapered surface with a first end and a second end. The first tapered surface has recesses for receiving shavings generated when the compliant pin is press-fit.

A connector includes a vibration preventing piece is provided on the side surface of a connecting section between an elongated tab-shaped contact section provided at one end of a connecting terminal and a locking section at the middle, in such a manner that it is flush with the side surface of the locking section and extended towards the tab-shaped contact section. A contact recess is formed in the contact section engaging hole which is formed in the contact section engaging hole which is formed in a housing, so that, when the connecting terminal is inserted into the terminal accommodating chamber, the vibration preventing piece of the connecting terminal is abutted against the contact recess in the contact engaging hole.

The igniter connector comprises an insulating housing having a bead-receiving cavity open at one end, a partition in a center of a bottom wall of the cavity, a ferrite bead disposed in the bead-receiving cavity, and holes in the bottom wall of the bead-receiving cavity for insertion of pin terminals, the ferrite bead that is inserted in the bead-receiving cavity and secured in the insulating housing with the ferrite bead having a central opening through which the partition is passed when the ferrite bead is inserted in the bead-receiving cavity, a pair of electrical contacts having receptacle sections for electrical connection with the pin terminals are arranged in contact-receiving cavities disposed between the partition and the ferrite bead inserted in the bead-receiving cavity and wire-connecting sections for connection to electrical wires, and a cover member enclosing the bead-receiving cavity of the insulating housing is latched to the housing and has posts coaxially aligning the receptacle sections of the electrical contacts with the holes for the pin terminals. The cover member is equipped with a pressure device that exerts pressure on the ferrite bead holding it down against the bottom of the bead-receiving cavity.
