A printing unit includes a plurality of ink jet parts and an X-axis linear motion mechanism that moves each of the plurality of ink jet parts in the same main scanning direction. The X-axis linear motion mechanism moves the ink jet part involved in printing the workpiece among the plurality of ink jet parts so as to face the surface of the workpiece and moves the remaining ink jet part on the one X-axis linear motion mechanism so as to retreat from the surface of the workpiece. As a result, a printing apparatus that is capable of printing accurately onto the workpiece having a three-dimensional curved surface is provided.

Printing apparatus

An ink jet head includes a piezoelectric element that is driven in a d33 mode, a pressure generation chamber in which a pressure is generated by the piezoelectric element, and an individual ink supply flow passage that through which the ink is supplied to the pressure generation chamber. The ink jet head includes an individual ink discharge flow passage that through which the ink is discharged from the pressure generation chamber, and a nozzle that ejects the ink from the pressure generation chamber. In a cross-sectional view in a direction orthogonal to an arrangement direction of the nozzle, inner diameters of the pressure generation chamber, the individual ink supply flow passage, and the individual ink discharge flow passage are shorter on a part close to the nozzle than a part close to the piezoelectric element side. Accordingly, an ink jet head capable of ejecting high-viscosity ink can be provided.

Ink jet head

The ink jet device is provided with a plurality of ink jet heads including a plurality of nozzles disposed linearly with each other at intervals in a predetermined longitudinal direction and ejecting ink in different regions each other in the printing width direction; and a position adjusting mechanism performing rotating operation of changing the intervals in the printing width direction of the nozzles by rotating the plurality of ink jet heads around an axis perpendicular to the print surface of the print object, and performing a shifting operation of shifting at least one of the plurality of ink jet heads in the printing width direction.

Ink jet device

A liquid-coating apparatus includes: (a) a nozzle hole from which a liquid material is to be discharged; (b) a supply flow channel configured to supply the liquid material to the nozzle hole; (c) a plunger configured to reciprocate in contact with the liquid material inside the supply flow channel; (d) a displacement-expansion mechanism configured to displace the plunger; and (e) an actuator configured to displace the displacement-expansion mechanism, wherein at least one of a contact part of the displacement-expansion mechanism and a contact part of the actuator has a curved surface.

Coating nozzle head, and liquid-applying apparatus including the same

In a common chamber () for distributing, to respective pressure chambers (), an ink supplied from the ink inlet (), resistant walls () are provided in areas that are located ahead and behind of the flow of the ink, i.e., areas around inlets of flow channels () that lead to respective pressure chambers (), and any resistance against the flow of the ink is generated according to the heights of the resistant walls (), thereby capturing a solid ingredient () included in the ink. In this case, by adjusting the heights of the resistant walls () to control capabilities of introducing the solid ingredient (), it becomes possible to dispense desired amounts of the solid ingredient () to the respective pressure chamber ().

Inkjet head and coating apparatus using same

An inkjet head, includes: a pressure chamber communicating with an ink flow channel; a diaphragm linked to the pressure chamber; a piezoelectric element linked to the diaphragm; a nozzle communicating with the pressure chamber; and a vibrating mechanism placed in the ink flow channel and vibrates a supplied ink. Further provided is an inkjet device, including: the above inkjet head; a holding unit that holds a coating object; a moving mechanism that causes relative movement between the inkjet head and the holding unit; and a control unit that controls the inkjet head, the holding unit, and the moving mechanism.

Disclosed is a coated type organic EL display wherein the light extraction efficiencies of all organic light-emitting elements are improved even when the organic light-emitting elements have different organic light-emitting layers for respective emission colors. Specifically disclosed is an organic EL display which comprises a substrate, a red organic light-emitting element (R), a green organic light-emitting element (G), and a blue organic light-emitting element (B), said organic light-emitting elements being arranged on the substrate. Each of the organic light-emitting elements has a pixel electrode that is a reflective electrode, a functional layer that is formed on the pixel electrode by coating, an organic light-emitting layer that is arranged on the functional layer, a counter electrode that is a transparent electrode arranged on the organic light-emitting layer, and a tapered bank that defines the functional layer formed by coating. The amounts of the functional layers formed by coating are different among the element (R), the element (G) and the element (B), and the tapered angles of the banks defining the functional layers are different among the element (R), the element (G) and the element (B).

Organic EL display

Piezoelectric element, inkjet device using same, and application method thereof

A piezoelectric device according to the present invention is a laminated body including stacked first and second sheets. The laminated body is divided by a plurality of grooves. In the laminated body, first driving units each have a fifth region where the first electrode of the first sheet and the second electrode of the second sheet are opposed to each other while second driving units each have a sixth region where the first electrode of the first sheet and the second electrode of the second sheet are opposed to each other. The grooves are interposed between the driving units. The fifth regions of the first driving units are located along a straight line separate from a straight line along which the sixth regions of the second driving units are located.

Piezoelectric device, inkjet equipment using the piezoelectric device, and the inkjet printing method

A plurality of ink-jet heads are displaced over time on a line scan head loaded with the ink-jet heads, leading to lower printing accuracy. A plurality of uneven portions are formed in parallel with a print-scan direction on the faying surfaces of the ink-jet heads and a head plate loaded with the ink-jet heads, allowing a displacement made over time after positioning to be guided in the print-scan direction. This can suppress a displacement in a direction orthogonal to the print-scan direction, achieving an ink-jet apparatus that can keep high printing accuracy using this solution.

An ink-jet head comprising: a supply channel configured to allow ink to flow; ink chamber groups, each having two or more ink chambers that are alternately provided on either side of the supply channel, along a direction of the ink, the ink chambers each having nozzles for discharging ink; wherein: each of the ink chamber groups has two or more ink chamber sequences in parallel with the direction, and two or more nozzle sequences in parallel with the direction, in each of the ink chamber groups, when the ink chamber sequence closest to the supply channel is a first ink chamber sequence, and the ink chamber sequence furthest away from the supply channel is an n-th ink chamber sequence, the number of the ink chambers in the first ink chamber sequence is greater than the number of the ink chambers in the n-th ink chamber sequence.

Ink-jet head and ink-jet apparatus

A display device includes: a substrate; a pair of partition walls above the substrate; a light-emitting portion above the substrate that includes a first electrode, a second electrode, and a light-emitting layer located between the first electrode and the second electrode, the second electrode and the light-emitting layer located between the pair of partition walls; and a pixel circuit for applying a voltage to the first electrode. Each of the pair of partition walls includes a conductive portion and an insulating portion that covers side surfaces of the conductive portion for insulating the first electrode and the light-emitting layer from the conductive portion. The second electrode covers an upper surface of the conductive portion of each of the pair of partition walls and is electrically connected to the pixel circuit via the conductive portion.

Display device and manufacturing method therefor

A functional-film fabricating method includes applying a coating by ejecting droplets of functional liquid from plural nozzles to ejection areas for forming a functional film which are surrounded by bounded areas having a liquid repellent property, during a single scanning. In applying the coating, when there is a non-ejectable nozzle out of plural nozzles to be used for applying a coating to a single ejection area, the amount of droplets of the functional liquid ejected from another ejectable nozzle to be used for applying a coating to this ejection area is larger than that of cases where there is no non-ejectable nozzle.
