A propylene resin composition which contains as essential components thereof (A) an ethylene-propylene random copolymer having an ethylene content of 0.5 to 3.0 parts by mass; (B) an elastomer having an average particle diameter of 10 to 800 nm in an amount of 1 to 10 parts by mass based on 100 parts by mass of the ethylene-propylene random copolymer; and (C) a crystalline nucleating agent, and in which after kneading thereof, the kneaded propylene resin composition exhibit a melt flow rate (MFR) of 0.01 to 1.00 g/10 min. The propylene resin composition is suitable for the production of a wide variety of molded articles.

Disclosed are a piping member formed by using a propylene-based resin composition comprising 100 parts by mass of a propylene-ethylene random copolymer (A) having an ethylene content of 2 to 5%, a crystallization temperature of 86 to 105&#xb0; C., a melt flow rate of 0.01 to 2.00 g/10 min and a molecular weight distribution of 3 to 8, and 1 to 15 parts by mass of a styrene-butadiene-base rubber (B) having a styrene content of 10 to 40% and a weight average molecular weight of 200,000 or more as essential components, a melt flow rate after kneading being from 0.01 to 2.00 g/10 min, characterized in that the propylene-based resin composition further comprising a hindered amine-based light stabilizer (C) having a weight average molecular weight of 2,000 or more in the amount of 0.1 to 1.0 parts by mass based on 100 parts by mass of the propylene-ethylene random copolymer; and a piping member formed by using a propylene-based resin composition, wherein the styrene-butadiene-base rubber is a hydrogenated styrene-butadiene block copolymer rubber.

A propylene-based resin composition for a pipe member, and a pipe member and multi-layered pipe member formed using that the same, which is comprised of (a) 65 to 90 parts by mass of a propylene resin homopolymer, (b) 10 to 25 parts by mass of talc having an average particle size of 1 to 10 &#x3bc;m and (c) 1 to 10 parts by mass of at least one kind of a rubber component selected from an ethylene-propylene-based rubber, an ethylene-butene-based rubber, a styrene-butadiene-based rubber and a styrene-isoprene-based rubber as main components, wherein the MFR of a melt-kneaded mixture obtained by melt kneading these components (a) to (c) is from 0.01 to 2.00 g/10 minutes.
