A biological signal detection system includes a pair of electrodes, adapted to be attached on a living body; a transmitter, adapted to be attached on the living body, and including an electric circuit operable to process the biological signal and to telemeter the processed signal; and a biological signal inputting apparatus. The system may also include a receiver-transmitter operable to receive the processed signal telemetered from the transmitter and to telemeter the processed signal to the biological signal inputting apparatus by way of a wide area network; and a storage for storing the processed signal telemetered from the transmitter as biological signal data and for inputting the biological signal data to the biological signal inputting apparatus. Also, the system may include a storage for storing the processed signal telemetered from the transmitter as biological signal data and for inputting the biological signal data to the biological signal inputting apparatus.

Biological signal detection system

An electrodefor detecting a biological signal and a loop antennaare integrally mounted on a supportplaced on the surface of a living body and a transmitteris placed on the support. A biological signal detected on the electrodeis input through a connectorto electric circuitryof the transmitterand an electric signal processed by the electric circuitryis output through connectorsandto both ends of the loop antennafrom which the biological signal is emitted to a receiver. At this time, the opening face of the loop antennais in a direction almost perpendicular to the surface of a living body for improving sensitivity.

Biological signal transmission apparatus

An electrode for detecting a biological signal and a loop antenna are integrally mounted on a support placed on the surface of a living body and a transmitter is placed on the support . A biological signal detected on the electrode is input through a connector to electric circuitry of the transmitter and an electric signal processed by the electric circuitry is output through connectors and to both ends of the loop antenna from which the biological signal is emitted to a receiver. At this time, the opening face of the loop antenna is in a direction almost perpendicular to the surface of a living body for improving sensitivity.

One end of a thin-tube type solid phase in which a receptor specific for a material or an organism to be measured which can induce a pH-change of substrate solution is immobilized is soaked in a sample solution and then taken out therefrom. The one end of the thin-tube type solid phase is disposed in a measurement cell and a sensing portion of a pH electrode disposed in the measurement cell is in the vicinity of the one end of the thin-tube type solid phase. The measurement cell and the thin-tube type solid phase are filled with a substrate solution so that a reaction takes place. Thereafter, the substrate solution in the thin-tube type solid phase is moved to the sensing portion by a solution feed pump. The output of the pH electrode at this timing is detected.

A method and apparatus for applying infrared radiation to a respiratory gas and detects a signal associated with the quantity of transmitted radiation for measuring the concentration of CO,in the respiratory gas. The capnometer detects a maximum value of the detection signal from the thermal detector during the present inspiration phase, stores the detected maximum value in RAM, performs the first approximation, Kalman filtering or some other suitable method to compute a corrected value that is valid for the time being until a maximum value is detected in the next inspiration phase, and determines a density signal by calculating the difference between the corrected value and the detection signal.

Capnometer

A sensor device a sensor unit which detects a biomedical signal, and a transmitter which converts the biomedical signal into a radio signal and then transmits the radio signal. The transmitter has an electrode detachment detection unit 12 which detects electrode detachment on the basis of an output of the sensor unit, and transmits an electrode detachment signal indicative of the detachment. In a receiver, the biomedical signal transmitted from the transmitter is received, the signal is attenuated by an attenuation unit, and the attenuated signal is supplied to a wired sensor input portion of another device through a switch and a connection unit. In the receiver, when the electrode detachment signal is detected from the signal transmitted from the transmitter, the switch is turned off.

When a motor 2 rotates, a permanent magnet 4a held by a magnet holding member 3a is rotated. When a case 1 is caused to approach the living body 6 under this state, a varying magnetic field is generated in the living body 6 and eddy currents are generated, thereby treating the patient.

A pupil dilating dilution is dropped into one of the left eye or the right eye of a subject. Video cameras 1A, 1B are directed toward the bulbs of the eyes 22A, 22B, and output video signals on the pupils of both left and right eyes. The area calculating circuit 7 calculates the areas of the given pupils of both left and right eyes, and applies the calculated results to a digital computer 8. The digital computer 8 calculates a difference between the given pupil areas of both the left and right eyes, calculates an index value relating to the magnification of the pupil area based on the calculated difference, and judges whether or not the subject is affected with Alzheimer's disease.

An eyepiece optical system, an illuminating lamp, and a battery 2 are housed in an operation unit 2. An insertion unit in which an image transmitting optical fiber bundle and an illumination light transmitting optical fiber bundle are incorporated is detachably coupled with the operation unit through a coupling unit. The insertion unit is bent using a bending wire attached to the distal end thereof and coupled to the operation unit by a wire operating mechanism. An anti-clouding material can be disposed on a surface of the distal end of the insertion unit to protect it against clouding.
