In a turning direction indicator, a first determination section determines whether a steering angle becomes equal to or larger than a first angle in one turning direction after the steering angle becomes a rotation angle in another turning direction opposite to the one turning direction in a state where an indication operation section is operated to a position indicating the one turning direction and the one turning direction is displayed by a display section. A second determination section determines whether the steering angle becomes equal to or smaller than a second angle smaller than the first angle after the steering angle becomes equal to or larger than the first angle. If the second determination section determines that the steering angle is equal to or smaller than the second angle, a cancelation section cancels the display of the turning direction by the display section.

Turning direction indicator

There is provided a turn signal indicator device that drives a turn signal indicators provided on a vehicle based on on/off states of a switch, and includes an operation state discrimination part that discriminates between first turn signal indication for lane change of the vehicle and second turn signal indication for course change of the vehicle based on on/off signals supplied from the switch.

Turn signal indicator device

In a turning direction indicator, a count section which counts a number of rotations in a case where an indication operation section is operated to a position indicating one turning direction and the one turning direction is displayed and where the steering wheel is rotated one time or more in the one turning direction. The counted number of rotations is stored. A determination section determines whether the stored value is a predetermined value indicating that the number of rotations is 0 in a case where the steering wheel is operated in the one turning direction and thereafter operated in another turning direction and where the steering angle becomes a predetermined angle or less. A cancellation section does not cancel display of the turning direction if the stored value is determined as being not the predetermined value, and otherwise cancels the display of the turning direction.

There is provided a switch unit which is downsized and which can reduce cost by eliminating a connector and an intermediate harness embedded in a body. A wiper switch and a light switch are attached to a steering column. Each of the wiper switch and the light switch includes a base portion which positions a stator portion of the steering column between each other, a housing portion projecting from the base portion along a periphery of the stator portion. A connector is housed in the housing portion. The connector of the wiper switch and the connector of the light switch are attached to the steering column with the connectors being directly connected together.
