A system for removing a thin metal film is disclosed. The system comprises an inclined metal plate electrode for guiding a downward electrolyte flow, an auxiliary electrode placed on either the upstream or downstream side of the metal plate electrode such that a part of the auxiliary electrode is immersed into the electrolyte, and a power supply for applying a DC voltage to the both electrodes. The system is used to remove a metal thin film on the surface of an insulator by making the electrolyte flowing down the metal plate electrode strike against the metal thin film while the DC voltage is applied to the metal plate electrode and auxiliary electrode.

Method and apparatus for removing thin metal films

A first and second electrostatic sorting sections are arranged below a tribo-electrifying device in this order in a vertical direction to form a sorting electrostatic field between a drum electrode and an opposing electrode. Plastic pieces separated from the other plastic pieces by the sorting electrostatic field in the first electrostatic separating section are introduced into a sorting electrostatic field in the second electrostatic separating section for second separation, thereby increasing the separation purity and recovery rate of plastic pieces.

Plastic chip separator

Supplying a predetermined amount of electric energy to a fine metal wire in a short time causes the fine metal wire to melt and evaporate. Following this phenomenon, a blasting substance expands in volume, so that the evaporative expansion force resulting from the melting evaporation of the fine metal wire is transmitted to and blasts a to-be-blasted object

The invention provides a plastic sorting method and apparatus, which, when plastic pieces comprising a plurality of types of resin plastics are agitated and frictionally charged, are able to impart the plastic pieces a necessary amount of charge or polarity for the thorough separation even if the difference in the amount of the different types of plastic pieces is large and to increase the recovery rate. If the amount of a specified type plastic pieces ( ) to be recovered is small, the agitation and the electrostatic separation is carried out after adding the specified type plastic pieces ( ) as auxiliary frictional charging material ( ) into the frictional charging device ( ), and the auxiliary frictional charging material ( ) remains in the frictional charging device ( ) and is used repeatedly.

Method and apparatus for separating plastic

When plastic pieces of plural different types of resins fed into a hopper are agitated to be triboelectrically charged, the plastic pieces are not imparted with sufficient amounts of charges or proper polarities which are required for separation of the plastic pieces if there are great differences in quantity between the different types of plastic pieces. This makes it impossible to properly separate the plastic pieces. Where the amount of pieces of a particular plastic to be separated is small, pieces of the particular plastic are additionally fed as a triboelectrification agent into a triboelectric charger ( ) and agitated with the plastic pieces. Thus, different types of plastic pieces ( ) (e.g., PVC and PE) are prevented from being imparted with the same polarity and are imparted with different amounts of charges, so that the separation can assuredly be carried out in an electrostatic separating section (G) for recovery of the particular plastic pieces.

Method of separating plastic

A melting/vaporization substance is melted and vaporized by supplying an electric energy of a predetermined amount from an electric energy supply circuit to the melting/vaporization substance . An explosive blasting substance is exploded by a phenomenon caused in a process of melting and vaporization of the melting/vaporization substance , so that a to-be-blasted object is blasted by that explosive force.

Blasting apparatus

A fusible and vaporizable substance (for example, a thin metal wire is used) is fused and vaporized by supplying thereto a predetermined amount of electrical energy from a capacitor of an electrical energy supply circuit for a short period of time, and nitromethane is detonated by a phenomenon in the process in which the fusible and vaporizable substance fuses and vaporizes, so that an object to be blasted is reliably blasted by this detonation force.

An electric screen device for preventing creatures from intruding into a water channel, which comprises a pair of opposed electrode assemblies disposed on opposite sides of a water intake channel, and a dc pulse applying device for applying dc pulses between the electrode assemblies. A discharge breaking system and a discharge breaking method for breakage and decomposition of objects to be ruptured such as destruction of base rocks and breakage of stones into small pieces at building lands, breakage for finishing tunnels and destruction of concrete buildings. A discharge breaking system is configured to supply or discharge electric energy charged or accumulated in a capacitor between a pair of electrodes in a short time for abrupt vaporization of a breaking substance for transmitting a pressure, thereby breaking an object to be ruptured with an expansion force generated by the vaporization. The discharge breaking systems has a structure wherein an end portion of a sheath member which covers a pair of metal cores for composing a cable is cut off to expose ends of the metal cores, and the exposed ends of the metal cores are submerged in the breaking substance and used as electrodes. The cable can be a coaxial cable having an inner core and an outer core, the cable being cut off to expose an end of the inner cable having one or more notches to cause the exposed end of the inner core to function as the foregoing thin metal wire. This discharge breaking system requires no adjustment of a distance between the electrodes and can easily be manufactured.
