A collar of a fixed scroll includes a gasket contact surface with which a gasket comes into contact, and a metal contact surface that causes the collar and a compression housing to be in contact and receives the axial force of bolts. The collar has a protruding portion that protrudes in the axial direction relative to the gasket contact surface, and the metal contact surface is disposed on the protruding portion.

An actuator of a variable displacement swash compressor includes a partitioning body that is movable along the axis of a drive shaft, a movable body that changes the inclination angle of a swash plate, and a control pressure chamber defined by the partitioning body and the movable body. The movable body is moved by drawing refrigerant in the control pressure chamber from a discharge chamber. The swash plate is configured to contact and move the partitioning body as the inclination angle increases.

Variable displacement swash plate compressor

A variable displacement swash-plate compressor includes an actuator that changes the inclination angle of a swash plate. The actuator includes a movable body that moves along a drive shaft axis. The movable body includes an acting portion that pushes the swash plate. The swash plate includes a receiving portion that contacts and is pushed by the acting portion. The acting portion and the receiving portion contact each other at an acting position. A bottom dead center associated part for positioning the piston at a bottom dead center is defined on the swash plate. When the drive shaft and the acting position are viewed from a direction that is perpendicular to a top dead center plane containing the top dead center associated part and the drive shaft axis, the acting position is defined at a position overlapping with the drive shaft regardless of the inclination angle.

Variable displacement swash-plate compressor

A variable displacement swash plate type compressor includes a rotary shaft, a swash plate, and an actuator, which changes the inclination angle of the swash plate. The actuator includes a partition body and a movable body, which moves in a direction along the rotational axis of the rotary shaft. The movable body includes a guide surface, which changes the inclination angle of the swash plate, and a sliding portion, which slides on the rotary shaft or on the partition body. When viewed from a direction that is perpendicular to the direction in which the rotational axis of the rotary shaft extends and perpendicular to a first direction, the guide surface is configured such that a perpendicular line or a normal line to the guide surface intersects with the rotational axis of the rotary shaft in a zone surrounded by the sliding portion.

A swash plate type variable displacement compressor includes a housing having therein a suction chamber, a discharge chamber, a swash plate chamber and a cylinder bore. The compressor further includes a drive shaft and a swash plate that is mounted on the drive shaft for rotation therewith. The compressor further includes a link mechanism, a piston, a conversion mechanism, an actuator and a control mechanism. The actuator includes a partitioning body, a moving body and a pressure control chamber formed between the partitioning body and the moving body into which a refrigerant is introduced from the discharge chamber for moving the moving body. A connecting member and a connecting unit are disposed on radially opposite side of the drive shaft. The compressor further has an urging member that urges the moving body that reduces the inclination angle of the swash plate.

Swash plate type variable displacement compressor

A variable displacement swash plate type compressor includes a rotary shaft, a swash plate, and an actuator. The actuator includes a partition body, a movable body, and a coupling member located radially outward of the rotary shaft of the swash plate. The movable body has a guide surface for changing the inclination angle of the swash plate and a sliding portion that slides on the rotary shaft or the partition body. When viewed in a direction that is perpendicular to a direction in which the rotational axis of the rotary shaft extends and perpendicular to a first direction, the guide surface has a curved shape that is configured such that a normal of the guide surface and the rotational axis of the rotary shaft intersect in a zone surrounded by the sliding portion in the entire range of change in the inclination angle.

Variable displacement swash plate type compressor

A swash plate type variable displacement compressor includes a housing having a suction chamber, a discharge chamber, a swash plate chamber in communication with the suction chamber, a first cylinder block having a plurality of first cylinder bores and a second cylinder block having a plurality of second cylinder bores. The first cylinder bores and the second cylinder bores cooperate to form plural pairs of the first and second cylinder bores. The first cylinder block and the second cylinder block have on outer peripheral side thereof a first projection and a second projection projecting radially, respectively. The first projection and the second projection cooperate together to form an oil separation chamber, an oil reserve chamber, an intermediate pressure chamber and a gas release passage that provides fluid communication between the oil reserve chamber and the intermediate pressure chamber.

A variable displacement swash-plate compressor includes an actuator that is configured to change the inclination angle of a swash plate. The actuator includes a movable body that moves along a drive shaft axis. The movable body includes an acting portion that is configured to push the swash plate with the pressure in a control pressure chamber. The swash plate includes a receiving portion that contacts and is pushed by the acting portion. The acting portion and the receiving portion contact each other at an acting position. A drive-shaft-parallel line segment is defined that contains the acting position and connects a proximal end of the acting portion and a proximal end of the receiving portion to each other, while extending in parallel with the drive shaft axis. The drive-shaft-parallel line segment is shorter when the inclination angle of the swash plate is maximized than when the inclination angle is minimized.

An inclination angle of a swash plate of a swash plate type variable displacement compressor is rapidly changed to the maximum when electric current is supplied to an electromagnetic solenoid and therefore the compressor is operated at the maximum displacement. When a second valve body is opened, a first valve body is closed; when the second valve body is closed, a valve opening of the first valve body is controlled. Under the circumstance that electric current is supplied to the electromagnetic solenoid and an instruction for operating the compressor at the maximum displacement is issued, when the first valve body is closed, the second valve body is opened. In addition to supply of refrigerant gas from a discharge chamber to a control pressure chamber through a first supply passage, refrigerant gas is supplied from the discharge chamber to the control pressure chamber through a second supply passage.

A variable displacement type compressor has a supply passage for supplying refrigerant gas to a pressure control chamber, a release passage for releasing the refrigerant gas from the pressure control chamber, a first control valve for controlling the amount of the refrigerant gas flowing through the supply passage, a check valve provided between the first control valve and the pressure control chamber and preventing the refrigerant gas from flowing from the pressure control chamber to the first control valve by closing the supply passage and a second control valve for adjusting a cross-sectional area of the release passage from minimum to maximum. The second control valve has a back pressure chamber communicating with the supply passage, a valve chamber forming a part of the release passage and communicating with a suction-pressure region, a valve hole forming a part of the release passage and communicating with the valve chamber and a spool having a valve portion located in the valve chamber. When a pressure in the back pressure chamber increases, the valve portion decreases the degree of opening of the valve hole.

Variable displacement type compressor with displacement control mechanism

A variable displacement type compressor in which a discharge-pressure region, a suction-pressure region and a pressure control chamber are defined, has a tiltable swash plate and a piston reciprocated by the swash plate in the pressure control chamber. The inclination angle of the swash plate and the piston stroke are changed by adjustment of pressure in the pressure control chamber thereby to control the displacement of the compressor. The compressor further comprises a supply passage for supplying refrigerant gas from the discharge-pressure region to the pressure control chamber, a release passage for releasing the refrigerant gas from the pressure control chamber to the suction-pressure region, a first control valve for adjusting a cross-sectional area of the supply passage from the discharge-pressure region to the pressure control chamber and a second control valve for adjusting cross-sectional area of the release passage. The second control valve includes a valve body for opening and closing the release passage whose cross-sectional area is set minimum when the valve body is located at the closed position and a valve spring for urging the valve body in a direction to open the release passage. When the second control valve is closed, pressure in the supply passage downstream the first control valve acts on the valve body in a direction to close the release passage and pressure in the suction-pressure region acts on the valve body in a direction to open the release passage.
