A coil component includes: a core part including: a winding shaft; and a planar flange part provided at an axial-direction end of the winding shaft, and having a groove part provided on an exterior face thereof where a lead part led out from a conductor wound around the winding shaft into the groove part, wherein the flange part has a first recessed part provided on a first side face intersecting with the long axis of the groove part and communicated with the groove part, wherein the area of a cross section, taken in a direction parallel with the first side face, of the first recessed part, is greater than the area of a cross section, taken in a direction parallel with the first side face.

Coil component and electronic device

A wire wound electronic part includes a ferrite core comprising ferrite having a columnar wire wound core and flanges formed at both ends thereof, a coil conductor wound around the wire wound core of the ferrite core, and at least a pair of terminal electrodes having a Cu conduction layer disposed to the outer surface of the flange, in which both ends of the coil conductor wound around the wire wound core are conductively connected to the terminal electrodes. The terminal electrode is formed by coating an electrode paste containing a Cu powder and a glass frit to the outer surface of the ferrite core, and then applying a heat treatment to the ferrite core. There is a reaction layer of a portion of the ferrite core and the glass frit at a boundary between the ferrite core and the Cu conduction layer. The terminal electrodes has the peel strength identical with that of an existent Ag terminal electrode, without forming a plate layer.

Wire wound electronic part

A wire wound electronic part includes a core having a wire wound core and flanges formed on both ends thereof, a coil conductor wound around the wire wound core and terminal electrodes disposed at the bottom of the flange, in which both ends of the coil conductor are conductively connected to the terminal electrodes by a solder, wherein a pair of grooves are formed at the bottom crossing the wire wound core of one of the flanges. The groove has a bottom and side walls disposed being slanted on both sides thereof, in which the vertical height for the side wall is formed larger than the length for the bottom of the side wall. The terminal electrodes are contained in the groove, and edge portion in the lateral direction of the terminal electrode is restricted by the side wall of the groove. The edge portion in the lateral direction of the terminal electrode is restricted by the side wall of the groove, which makes the lateral size stable and suppresses the movement of the molten solder in the lateral direction of the groove, thereby preventing unstable height and attitude of the wire wound electronic part upon mounting to a circuit substrate.

One inventive aspect relates to a low back type loop type coil part which may facilitate confirmation of quality of soldering. The loop type coil part comprises a core including a spool arranged vertically to a mounting side and a plate-like flange provided at an end of the spool to come in contact with the mounting side. A coil lead is wound around the spool, and an end of the coil lead is soldered and fixed to a terminal electrode of a bottom surface of the flange. A protruding part is provided at a part of a side surface of the flange in a length direction. A recess is formed in the bottom surface of the flange so as to be in contact with the protruding part of the side surface and a non-protruding part adjacent to the protruding part. The terminal electrode is provided to be continuous across an inner wall surface of the recess, a bottom surface of the protruding part, and a bottom surface of the non-protruding part. Accordingly, by using the protruding size of the flange, the fillet to facilitate confirmation of quality of soldering can be formed without increasing the thickness size of the flange of the core and the height size of the core.

Loop type coil parts

A nickel-hydrogen secondary battery has a positive electrode including a positive electrode mixture which contains a nickel compound as a major component and which is supported on a collector sheet, a negative electrode including a negative electrode mixture which contains a hydrogen absorbing alloy as a major component, a binder and an electrically conductive material and which is supported on a collector sheet, the positive and negative electrodes being stacked up alternately or rolled up with a separator interposed therebetween to form an electrode group, and a battery case containing the electrode group together with an electrolyte, the battery case having an opening closed with a sealing plate which is provided with a positive electrode terminal, wherein the binder contains at least carboxylated styrene-butadiene copolymer latex, the conductive material contains metal flakes or short metal fibers, and an edge portion of the collector sheet of the negative electrode is electrically connected to the battery case via a collector plate welded to the edge portion of the collector sheet.

Nickel-hydrogen secondary cell

A nickel-metal hydride secondary battery comprising electrode group comprising positive electrode comprised mainly of nickel hydroxide, negative electrode comprised mainly of a hydrogen storage alloy, and separator being disposed between the positive electrode and the negative electrode, wherein the electrode group is sealed in battery casing, together with an alkali electrolyte liquid, wherein, in the battery, a W element and an Na element are present simultaneously. The nickel-metal hydride secondary battery of the present invention is advantageous not only in that it exhibits high utilization of the active material and excellent self-discharge characteristics in a high temperature storage as well as high charging efficiency in a high temperature environment, but also in that it has excellent large current discharge characteristics.

Nickel-metal hydride secondary battery

Provided is a hydrogen absorbing alloy superior to the MmNi system hydrogen absorbing alloy and the TiFe system hydrogen absorbing alloy that are widely put to practical use in both the capacity density per unit volume and the capacity density per unit weight. The hydrogen absorbing alloy of the present invention is also superior to the conventional TiMn system hydrogen absorbing alloy in the initial activation. The hydrogen absorbing alloy of the present invention is represented by a general formula AM , where A is at least one element selected from IA group, IIA group, IIIB group, and IVB group of the periodic table, and M is at least one element selected from VB group, VIB group, VIIB group, VIIIB group, IB group, IIB group, IIIA group, IVA group and VA group of the periodic table, x meets the relationship of 2.7<x<3.8, and an average atomic radius r meets the relationship 1.36 &angst;&lE;r&lE;1.39 &angst;.
