A sensor for detecting whether an analyte contains a first substance, includes a base and a detection section including a second substance immobilized on a surface of the base. Sensor, detection method, detection system, and detection device

A sensor determines whether a specimen includes a first substance. In an exemplary embodiment, the sensor includes a base. In an exemplary embodiment, the sensor is configured to determine whether the specimen includes the first substance and further includes, on the base, a detection unit on which a second substance is immobilized. The second substance includes a bond that is cleft by the reaction with hydrogen peroxide. In an exemplary embodiment, the specimen that is brought in contact with an enzyme that generates the hydrogen peroxide by the reaction with the first substance is introduced to the detection unit in the sensor configured to determine whether the specimen includes the first substance.

The present invention provides a surface acoustic wave sensor capable of suitably controlling the flow of a liquid sample onto IDT electrodes. A surface acoustic wave sensor has a piezoelectric substrate, a first IDT electrode and a second IDT electrode which are located on the upper surface of the piezoelectric substrate and are separated from each other while sandwiching a detection part on the piezoelectric substrate therebetween, and the cover which forms the space being on the first IDT electrode, second IDT electrode, and the detection part and straddling them. On the lower surface of the cover, the detection part-facing surface facing the detection part has a smaller contact angle to the liquid sample than that of a pair of electrode-facing surfaces facing the first IDT electrode and second IDT electrode.

Surface acoustic wave sensor

A biosensor, including: a first cover member comprising an element-accommodating recess in an upper face thereof; a detection element using a surface acoustic wave, the detection element including an element substrate accommodated in the element-accommodating recess, and at least one detection unit located on an upper face of the element substrate configured to perform detection of an analyte; and a second cover member joined to the first cover member and covering the detection element, and including an inflow port from which the analyte flows in and a groove which extends from the inflow port to at least above the at least one detection unit and constitutes a capillary.

Biosensor

A sensor is provided with a sensor element which outputs a signal in accordance with a detected object contained in a specimen positioned on a detection part in an element surface and with a package which accommodates the sensor element inside it and has a passage including a space positioned on the element surface. A lower surface of the passage has the element surface and a lower surface of an inflow passage extending toward the space, and a gap is positioned between the lower surface of the inflow passage and the element surface. The element surface is positioned above the lower surface of the inflow passage.

Sensor

The present invention provides a surface acoustic wave sensor capable of suitably controlling the flow of a liquid sample onto IDT electrodes. A surface acoustic wave sensorhas a piezoelectric substrate, a first IDT electrode and a second IDT electrode which are located on the upper surface of the piezoelectric substrate and are separated from each other while sandwiching a detection part (detection region) on the piezoelectric substrate there between, and the cover which forms the space being on the first IDT electrode, second IDT electrode, and detection part and straddling them. On the lower surface of the cover, the detection part-facing surface (lower surface of the film) facing the detection part has a smaller contact angle to the liquid sample than that of a pair of electrode-facing surfaces (lower surface of the cover body) facing the first IDT electrode and second IDT electrode.

In an aspect, a sensor includes a combining portion that combines with a second substance having a molecular weight larger than a molecular weight of a first substance. Further, in an aspect, the sensor includes a substrate including a surface on which the combining portion is disposed. The combining portion detects whether or not the first substance is included in an analyte that has come into contact with both an aptamer and the second substance. The aptamer includes a first combining part for the first substance and a second combining part for the second substance and is combined with either of the first substance and the second substance.

To provide a biosensor including a suctioning mechanism while using a detection element such as a surface acoustic wave device, included are: a first cover memberincluding an element-accommodating recesson an upper face thereof; a detection elementincluding an element substrate, and at least one detection unitlocated on the upper face of the element substrateto perform detection of an analyte; and a second cover memberjoined to the first cover memberand covering the detection element, and including an inflow portfrom which the analyte flows in and a grooveextending from the inflow portto at least above the detection unit.

A capacitor is provided with a first electrode to which a direct current voltage is applied; a dielectric layer, which is arranged on the first electrode and is composed of an oxide dielectric material; and a second electrode, which is arranged on the dielectric layer, has a first portion where at least a part in contact with the dielectric layer is composed of a conductive oxide material having oxidizing property, and has a direct current voltage lower than that applied to the first electrode applied.

The present invention relates to a small, low-height capacitor device in which deterioration of characteristics such as leakage current is reduced. The capacitor device includes a supporting substrate; at least one capacitor elementdisposed on the supporting substrate, including a dielectric layerand a pair of electrodesandsandwiching the dielectric layer; and a sealant that seals the capacitor elementthrough a space. The dielectric layerhas an exposed partexposed in the space. According to this structure, deterioration of the dielectric layer can be prevented, and a capacitor device exhibiting a good leakage current characteristic is obtained.

A variable capacitor includes a supporting substrate and a plurality of variable capacitance elements, and bias lines. The plurality of variable capacitance elements is formed on the supporting substrate, each of which is composed of a lower-laid first electrode layer, an upper-laid second electrode layer, and a dielectric layer sandwiched therebetween whose dielectric constant changes with direct current bias voltage. In the variable capacitance elements which are adjacent to each other, the second electrode layer of a first variable capacitance element and the first electrode layer of a second variable capacitance element are electrically connected in series with each other. The bias lines each include at least one of resistance component and inductance component for applying the direct current bias voltage. The variable capacitance elements are each connected to the bias lines.

Variable capacitor, circuit module, and communications apparatus

There is disclosed a variable capacitance circuit which comprises: first to Nth variable capacitance elements C-CN (N is an odd number) sequentially connected in series between an input terminal I and an output terminal O, whose capacitances change depending on voltage applied thereto; an ith bias line on the input terminal side provided between an input terminal portion of the first variable capacitance element and a connection point between a 2ith variable capacitance element and a (2i+1)th variable capacitance element; and an ith bias line on the output terminal side provided between an output terminal portion of the Nth variable capacitance element and a connection point between a (2i&#x2212;1)th variable capacitance element and the 2ith variable capacitance element, where N and i are integers satisfying N=2n+1, n&#x2267;1, 1&#x2266;i&#x2266;n. With the arrangement of the variable capacitance circuit, it is possible to provide a variable capacitance thin film capacitor device whose capacitance change ratio is small in a radio frequency region and large in a direct current region can be provided. Furthermore, a radio frequency device utilizing the variable capacitance thin film capacitor device can be provided.
