A brake hydraulic pressure control apparatus includes a reservoir, a brake hydraulic pressure supply device, a hydraulic pump, a plurality of wheel cylinders, a cut valve, a plurality of pressure-increasing solenoid valves, a plurality of pressure-decreasing solenoid valves, a discharge passage including a plurality of relief passages and a circulating passage, a controlling device bringing a brake hydraulic pressure to be applied to the wheel cylinders from the hydraulic pump by disconnecting the brake hydraulic pressure supply device from the wheel cylinders by the cut valve while the pressure-increasing solenoid valves are in an open state, and bringing the brake fluid within the wheel cylinders to be circulated to the reservoir via the discharge passage by operating the pressure-decreasing solenoid valves, and a pulsation transmission decreasing device provided at the discharge passage and decreasing a transmission of a pressure pulsation generated by at least one of the pressure-decreasing solenoid valves.

Brake hydraulic pressure control apparatus

When a plunger moves toward a side of a valve seat, an end face of a sealing member on a space side is separated from a surface of a seal housing groove, whereby a portion between a communication passage formed on an inner peripheral side of the sealing member is communicated with the space. At this time, an end face of the sealing member on a side of a damper chamber contacts the surface of the seal housing groove. However, since a part of a communication groove is communicated with the communication passage, the damper chamber is communicated with the communication passage through the communication groove. Accordingly, since the damper chamber is communicated with the space through the communication passage, a damping effect is not exerted.

Solenoid valve

A normally closed solenoid-operated valve is composed of a stationary element provided at one end of a stationary sleeve, a movable element slidably inserted in the sleeve to face the stationary element and provided at an external surface thereof with a communication groove which axially extends between the opposite ends thereof for permitting the flow of the operating fluid, and an electromagnetic coil for exciting the stationary element and the movable element. A damper chamber is defined by an annular shim provided between the lower end surface of the stationary element and the top surface of the movable element. When the damper chamber is closed by the lower end surface of the stationary element and the top surface of the movable element, a dent groove makes the damper chamber communicate with the communication groove.

Normally closed solenoid-operated valve

A solenoid valve includes a movable member disposed in a sleeve for moving in an axial direction, a valve mechanism portion opening and closing in accordance with axial movement of the movable member to establish and interrupt fluid communication, a valve chamber exposed to an end surface of the movable member at the valve mechanism portion side and the valve mechanism portion, and a damper chamber exposed to the other end surface of the movable member axially opposite to the end surface at the valve mechanism portion side. The movable member is provided with a throttling portion for establishing fluid communication between the damper chamber and the valve chamber to introduce operational fluid from the damper chamber to the valve chamber. The throttling portion is unitary formed on a sliding surface portion of the movable member.

An electromagnetic valve device includes a valve body having a first fluid chamber, and inlet and outlet passages fluidly communicating with the first fluid chamber. In a first fluid chamber, a first movable member is slidably received within a stationary sleeve to define a second fluid chamber within the sleeve. The second fluid chamber is in continuous fluid communication with the first fluid chamber and is in fluid communication with the inlet passage. The first member has a first valve for selectively interrupting fluid communication between the inlet passage and the first fluid chamber, and is urged by a return spring into a first position to effect fluid communication between the first fluid chamber and the inlet passage. A second movable member operatively connected to an electromagnet has a second valve for selectively interrupting the fluid communication between the inlet passage and the second fluid chamber. The second member is urged by a return spring into a non-energized position in which fluid communication between the second fluid chamber and the inlet fluid passage is interrupted when the first member is positioned in the first position. When the electromagnet is energized, the second member moves to an energized position and the first member is moved by the second member into a second position to interrupt fluid communication between the inlet passage and the first fluid chamber. A pressure differential between the inlet and outlet passages greater than a predetermined pressure differential holds the first member in the second position so that restricted fluid communication occurs between the inlet and outlet passages when the electromagnet is de-energized.

Electromagnetic valve device

A solenoid operated valve having a solenoid winding mounted on a valve housing formed with a valve chamber, an end closed sleeve concentrically assembled with the solenoid winding, a stationary element disposed within the end closed sleeve and mounted on the valve housing together with the end closed sleeve to form a fluid chamber in a closed end portion of the sleeve, the fluid chamber being communicated with the valve chamber through an axial bore of the stationary element, a movable element disposed within the fluid chamber to be moved toward the stationary element against a return spring loaded thereto when the solenoid winding is activated, a movable valve rod engaged at one end thereof with the movable element for movement therewith and extending into the valve chamber through the axial bore of the stationary element, a valve body disposed within the valve chamber to be moved by the valve rod, and a valve seat mounted within the valve chamber and located between an inlet passage and an outlet passage to be closed by the valve body, wherein a hydraulic damping mechanism is composed of an annular sealing member coupled with the movable element and slidably engaged with an internal surface of the end closed sleeve to form a damper chamber and an orifice formed in the movable element to provide a fluid communication between the damper chamber and the valve chamber.
