A fuel cell fluid machine includes a rotary shaft, an electric motor, a compression unit, and a rotation assist unit. The rotation assist unit includes a turbine wheel and a turbine housing. Exhaust gas discharged from a fuel cell stack is introduced to the turbine chamber. The exhaust gas then flows in the radial direction of the rotary shaft and is discharged in the axial direction of the rotary shaft. This rotates the turbine wheel. A diameter of the turbine wheel and a diameter of the shroud surface gradually increase from an upstream side to a downstream side in a flowing direction of the exhaust gas.

Fuel cell fluid machine

A centrifugal compressor includes: a compressor impeller; a motor including a stator and a rotor; and a housing. The rotor includes a tubular member, a magnetic body, a first shaft member and a second shaft member, an axial passage, and a plurality of radial passages. A dimension of each of the radial passages in a circumferential direction of the second shaft member gradually increases toward a radially outward side of the second shaft member. Each of the radial passages includes an opening that is opened at the outer peripheral surface of the second shaft member. The outer peripheral surface of the second shaft member has an interposed surface that is interposed between the opening of one of the radial passages and the opening of another of the radial passages adjacent to each other in the circumferential direction of the second shaft member.

Centrifugal compressor

A turbo fluid machine includes a housing having a motor chamber, a turbine chamber, a first shaft hole, and a second shaft hole; a drive shaft; and a sealing member that seals a gap between the motor chamber and the turbine chamber. The sealing member includes a first sealing member and a second sealing member that is located away from the first sealing member and between the first sealing member and the turbine chamber in an axial direction of the drive shaft. The drive shaft, the second shaft hole, the first sealing member, and the second sealing member cooperate to form a reservoir in which water contained in exhaust from a fuel cell is stored. The housing has a water discharge passage which is communicated with the reservoir and through which the water is discharged from the reservoir to an outside of the housing.

Turbo fluid machine

A fluid machine includes a bladed wheel, a resolver, a first fastener, and a second fastener. A resolver rotor is held between the first fastener and the rotary shaft and fixed to a large-diameter portion of the rotary shaft. The bladed wheel is held between the second fastener and the rotary shaft and fixed to a small-diameter portion of the rotary shaft. While the resolver rotor is fixed by the first fastener in a same direction as the bladed wheel is fixed by the second fastener along an axial direction of the rotary shaft, and the resolver rotor is fixed by the first fastener at a position away in a radial direction of the rotary shaft from a position where the bladed wheel is fixed by the second fastener so that the resolver rotor does not receive an axial force from the second fastener.

Fluid machine

A turbo fluid machine includes a housing, a rotating member, and a motor. Part of fluid compressed by a compressor impeller is introduced into a motor accommodation space through an inlet-side flow passage that has an inlet-side fixed throttle, and is discharged from the motor accommodation space through an outlet-side flow passage that has an outlet-side fixed throttle. The outlet-side flow passage includes a connection part connecting to the motor accommodation space. The connection part is formed separately from a clearance between a second partition wall and a shaft, and is located opposite to a connection part of the inlet-side flow passage connecting to the motor accommodation space across the motor in an axial direction of the shaft. The inlet-side fixed throttle and the outlet-side fixed throttle are configured such that pressure in the motor accommodation space is higher than pressure in a turbine-wheel back pressure region.

A fuel cell system includes a target pressure value for the pressure in a fuel cell is set depending on a demand output value to the fuel cell. A turbine retains a set pressure line representing a relationship between an airflow rate supplied to the turbine and a pressure ratio corresponding to a ratio of a pressure upstream of the turbine and a pressure downstream of the turbine. A controller executes a first control when the target pressure value for the fuel cell is lower than the set pressure line and executes a second control when the target pressure value for the fuel cell is higher than the set pressure line. The controller controls an outlet valve so as not to be fully opened when a turbine bypass valve is fully closed.

Fuel cell system

When a detection value of a temperature sensor exceeds a set temperature, an ECU increases an opening of a sub-port by controlling a solenoid valve, and as a result, an intake volume of an expander increases. The ECU then adjusts the mass flow rate of a coolant flowing through a boiler so that a detection value of a pressure sensor indicates a pressure as close as possible to an upper limit pressure, on condition that an upper limit temperature is not exceeded.

Vehicle waste heat recovery device

A scroll type compressor has a housing, a rotary shaft, a fixed scroll member, a movable scroll member and a rotation preventing mechanism. The rotation preventing mechanism has a movable pin that is provided on the surface of movable end plate and extends toward end surface of the housing in parallel with an axis of the rotary shaft, a fixed pin that is provided on the end surface of the housing and extends toward the surface of the movable end plate in parallel with the axis of the movable pin, a rolling element that is disposed between the movable and the fixed pins, being contactable with the movable and the fixed pins and a retainer retaining the rolling element between the movable and the fixed pins.

Scroll type compressor

A compressor, which is cooled by cooling medium, includes a compression chamber, a first cooling chamber and a second cooling chamber. In the compression chamber, gas is compressed and then discharged therefrom. The first cooling chamber, in which the cooling medium flows, is provided so as to adjoin the compression chamber for cooling the gas in the compression chamber. The second cooling chamber adjoins the first cooling chamber. The second cooling chamber has a gas passage in which the discharged gas flows and a medium passage in which the cooling medium flows. The medium passage is arranged so as to restrain transmission of heat of the discharged gas in the gas passage to the cooling medium in the first cooling chamber.

Compressor with two cooling chambers

An air supply system for a fuel cell is disclosed, in which a compression chamber ( ) of an air supply mechanism (GS) is adapted to supply air to a fuel cell (FC). A liquefaction unit ( ) acting as a water supply mechanism (WS) supplies water to the air supply mechanism (GS) to seal and cool the compression chamber ( ). The liquefaction chamber ( ) separates water from the exhaust gas discharged from the fuel cell (FC) and supplies the water to the air supply mechanism (GS). The air supply mechanism (GS) and the liquefaction unit ( ) are integrated with each other.

Air supply system for fuel cell

A compression regenerative machine for a fuel cell according to the present invention comprises a displacement type compression mechanism portion C connected to an oxygen-containing gas supply side of a fuel cell F, and a displacement type regenerative mechanism portion E connected to an exhaust discharge side of the fuel cell F. A confined compression chamber defined by the compression mechanism portion C and a confined regenerative chamber defined by the regenerative mechanism portion E have a capacity ratio of 1.25 to 3.

Compression regenerative machine for fuel cell

A compressor and regenerator for a fuel cell according to the present invention comprises a compression mechanism portion C having a compression chamber for pressurizing an oxygen-containing gas to a high pressure to supply air to a fuel cell F, and a regenerative mechanism portion E having a regenerative chamber so constituted as to be operated with the compression mechanism portion C by the same motor M and assisting the motor M using an exhaust gas G exhausted from the fuel cell F. The compression chamber of the compression mechanism portion C and the regenerative chamber of the regenerative mechanism portion E are adjacent to each other. A seal ring grove is defined in a ring-like zone of a center housing and a seal ring is fitted in the seal ring groove

Compressor and regenerator for fuel cell

In a heat generator for a vehicle according to the present invention, an operation chamber defined in the heat generator is composed of a heat generation area ( ) which receives therein a rotor, a storage area ( ) which contains viscous fluid, and a boundary opening ( ) of a relatively large surface area, which connects the two areas. The boundary opening is provided with a pair of transfer openings ( A, B) in a point-symmetric arrangement with respect to the rotation axis C of the rotor. Guide portions ( A, B), each corresponding to each of the openings, are provided in the storage area. With this structure, since at least one of the transfer openings and the guide portion corresponding thereto are located below the surface level L of the viscous fluid regardless of the attachment angle of the heat generator, the exchange and circulation of the viscous fluid can be carried out between the heat generation area and the storage area, in accordance with the rotation of the rotor.

Heat generator for vehicle

A vehicle heat generator, which can easily be installed in an engine room, includes a housing, and a heating chamber housed in the housing. The heating chamber contains viscous fluid. A heat transfer chamber is housed in the housing about the heating chamber. Circulating fluid flows through the heat transfer chamber. A rotor is rotatably supported in the heating chamber. The rotor shears the viscous fluid to generate heat. A flow passage of the circulating fluid is defined in the heat transfer chamber. The flow passage encompasses substantially the entire rotor. An ingoing passage connects the exterior of the housing to the flow passage. The circulating fluid flows through the ingoing passage from the exterior to the flow passage. An outgoing passage connects the flow passage to the exterior. The circulating fluid flows through the outgoing passage from the flow passage to the exterior. The ingoing passage and the outgoing passage extend substantially parallel to the rotor axis. The structure of the heat generator also facilitates movement of the viscous fluid in the heating chamber.

Vehicle heat generator

A control apparatus and method for controlling an automotive heater apparatus. The heater apparatus includes a coolant circuit for cooling an engine, a coolant circulating through the circuit, a heat generator for transferring heat to the coolant, and a heater core for transferring heat from the coolant. The heat generator houses a viscous fluid and a rotor selectively connected to and disconnected from the engine by a clutch. The clutch connects the engine with the rotor to shear the viscous fluid and generate heat. When the rotating speed of the rotor exceeds a rotor speed limit, which varies in accordance with the detected coolant temperature, the clutch disconnects the rotor of the heat generator from the engine and de-activates the heat generator.
