An organic-inorganic composite material contains a cured material of an organic-inorganic composition containing a resin component, fine particles of a transparent conductive substance, and a polymerization initiator. Refractive properties of the Abbe number &#x3bd;d and anomalous dispersion &#x3b8;g, F of the organic-inorganic composite material are within a range surrounded by (&#x3bd;d, &#x3b8;g, F)=(16, 0.50), (16, 0.40), (23, 0.50), (23, 0.47). The content of the fine particles of the transparent conductive substance in the organic-inorganic composite material is from 7.7% to 20.0% by volume. The resin component contains a compound represented by the following formula: where Rand Rrepresent a hydrogen atom or a moiety containing a polymerizable functional group such as an acrylic group, a methacrylic group, an allyl group, a vinyl group, or an epoxy group or one or both of Rand Rrepresent the moiety containing the polymerizable functional group.

The cured product obtained by curing the organic-inorganic composite resin composition through application of an active energy has a refractive index nd of 1.61 or more and 1.65 or less, Abbe's number &#x3bd;d of 13 or more and 20 or less, and an anomalous dispersion characteristic &#x3b8;g,F of 0.42 or more and 0.54 or less. Stacked diffraction optical element including an optical element made of organic-inorganic composite resin material

An optical material including a polymer of a mixture which contains a sulfur-containing compound, a fluorene compound with a fluorene skeleton, and an energy polymerization initiator. The sulfur-containing compound contains, in a molecule, at least one kind of group selected from the group consisting of a sulfide group, a sulphone group, a sulfoxide group, a thiol group, and a thioester group. A refractive index of the polymer of the mixture is 1.65 or more to less than 1.92, an Abbe constant thereof is 15 or more to less than 22, and a difference &#x394;&#x3b8;g,F between a secondary dispersion property &#x3b8;g,F thereof and a secondary dispersion property &#x3b8;g,F of a normal optical material which is expressed by &#x3b8;g,F=0.6438&#x2212;0.001682&#x3bd;d is 0.05 or more to less than 0.13.

Organic solvent dispersion, resin composition, and optical device

An optical material is provided that has a high transmittance, a high refractive index, a low Abbe constant, a high secondary dispersion property, and a low water absorption rate. The optical material includes a polymer of a mixture which contains: a sulfur-containing compound represented by the following general formula (1): a sulfur-containing compound represented by the following general formula (2): and an energy polymerization initiator, in which a content of the sulfur-containing compound represented by the chemical formula (2) is 10% by weight or more to 60% by weight or less, an Abbe constant (&#x3bd;d) of the polymer of the mixture satisfies 18&#x3c;&#x3bd;d&#x3c;23, and a secondary dispersion property (&#x3b8;g,F) thereof satisfies 0.68&#x3c;&#x3b8;g,F&#x3c;0.69.

A resin composition includes a binder component having at least one of a monomer and an oligomer of one or more of a fluorine system and a silicone system having a polymerizable functional group in a molecule. The resin composition also includes fine metal oxide particles, and a polymerization initiator. The fine metal oxide particles include particles selected from the group of zinc oxide, indium oxide, tin oxide, antimony oxide, tin-doped indium oxide (ITO), antimony-doped tin oxide (ATO), zinc-doped indium oxide (IZO), aluminum-doped zinc oxide (AZO), and fluorine-doped tin oxide (FTO).

Laminated diffractive optical element and resin composition therefor

Use of an organic optical material whose Abbe's number (&#x3bd;d) and secondary dispersion (&#x3b8;g,F) satisfy the relationship &#x3b8;g,F&#x2266;&#x2212;2&#x3bd;d&#xd7;10+0.59 provides an optical material which causes reduced optical scattering, the optical material having excellent optical scattering characteristics and secondary dispersion characteristics equivalent to those of a compound in which fine particles of conductive metal oxides such as ITO are dispersed in an organic resin.
