An image display apparatus includes a display panel having a plurality of electron emission portions that emit electrons, a plurality of light emitting regions positioned corresponding to the plurality of electron emission portions to emit light in response to irradiation of electrons from the electron emission portion thereon, and a shielding member provided between a substrate having the electron emission portions provided thereon and an opposing substrate having the light emitting regions thereon, and a correction circuit that corrects a pixel signal for modulating the electron emission portions. The shielding member shields electrons reflected from peripheral light emitting regions adjacent to a predetermined one of the light emitting regions to the predetermined light emitting region, and irradiates electrons from the shielding member to the predetermined light emitting region. The correction circuit carries out correction of the pixel signal with a correction value corresponding to the amount of electrons shielded by the shielding member among electrons to be irradiated to the light emitting region and correction with a correction value in which the amount of electrons irradiated from the shielding member to the light emitting region.

Image display apparatus

There is provided an image display apparatus having: display devices; a spacer; and a drive circuit. The drive circuit has a first correction circuit that corrects inputted data to make it linear with luminance and a second correction circuit. The second correction circuit has a calculation circuit for calculating an evaluation value and an adjustment circuit. The evaluation value relates to suppression effect that the spacer suppresses an influence on the light emission of a predetermined emitting region due to the inputted image data by driving non-corresponding display devices and is calculated by using the electric charge signal after converting a luminance signal into an electric charge signal. The adjustment circuit calculates an adjustment value that refers to a property of a phosphor based on the luminance signal and dynamically calculates the correction value by using the evaluation value and the adjustment value.

An image display apparatus includes a rear plate having electron-emitting devices, a face plate having light-emitting regions, a spacer arranged between the rear plate and the face plate, and a drive circuit having a correction circuit which corrects input image data. A quantity of light emitted from an object light-emitting region depends on the quantity of electrons coming from a corresponding object electron-emitting device and coming from peripheral light-emitting regions of the object light-emitting region, and the quantity of light emitted from the object light-emitting region decreases when at least some of the emitted electrons are blocked by the spacer. The correction circuit includes a first circuit that calculates a value equivalent to the decrease in the quantity of light emitted from the object light-emitting region due to the blocked electrons, a second circuit that calculates a correction value by multiplying the value equivalent to the decrease in the quantity of light by an adjustment gain value that complies with a color of the object light-emitting region, and a third circuit that adds the correction value to the input image data of the object electron-emitting device.

An information processor enabling a digital broadcast to be viewed at a child device at a low cost, a TV system and a program are provided. Video decoders are corrected to the post-stage of demultiplexers, respectively, and video data of MPEG divided by the demultiplexers is decoded by the video decoders. At this time, the video data of MPEG is converted into a display format of a base band in a raster scan form. A common memory having a capacity equivalent to at least one displayed image, and a memory controller controlling the operation of the common memory are further provided. Three write video data output from resolution converters is stored in the common memory under control by the memory controller.

An image display apparatus includes a plurality of display devices, a member arranged in the vicinity of the display devices, and a driving circuit to which an image signal corresponding to a quantity of light emitted from the light emitting region is inputted and which outputs a drive signal for driving the display devices. The driving circuit includes a correction circuit for correcting the image signal, with the drive circuit outputting the drive signal according to the corrected image signal. When the plurality of display devices is driven in accordance with the drive signal, a quantity of light emitted from a predetermined light emitting region correlating to a predetermined display device in the plurality of display devices is influenced by driving an adjacent display device and by the member. There is provided a multi-screen synthesis apparatus that can execute display of video data and update of an OSD image without causing a user to feel a visual sense of incongruity, and reduce system costs. Periodic video source data and aperiodic OSD image data are written into a unified memory reserved for planes. The video source data and the OSD image data are read from the unified memory, based on a synthesis layout, for simultaneous display on a single display in a synthesized state. Video data to be written into the unified memory is decimated in units of a frame on an input video source-by-input video source basis. The decimation of the data is controlled based on display priority of the video data determined based on a multi-screen display layout.
