A miter saw includes a base portion having a mount surface, a cutting unit supporting a saw blade, a support portion, a relative displacement smoothening member, and a sealing structure. The support portion is supported to the base portion for supporting the cutting unit. The support portion includes a rod extending in a sliding direction in parallel to the mount surface and perpendicular to a rotation axis of the saw blade, and a slide-support portion through which the rod slidably extends. The smoothening member is provided between the slide-support portion and the rod. The sealing structure is provided between the slide-support portion and the rod and includes a first seal member provided at one end of the smoothening member, a second seal member provided at an another end of the smoothening member, and a third seal member positioned opposite to the smoothening member with respect to the first seal member.

Desk-top cutting machine

A cutter including a base, a holder, a cutter blade portion, and a laser generator. The holder is supported on the base portion in an upright posture. The cutter blade portion supports a moving blade. The cutter blade portion is supported on the holder movable between an upper position and a lower position. The cutter blade portion is moved into the lower position to cut a workpiece supported on the base using the moving blade. The laser generator is attached to the holder or the cutter blade portion in an orientation to direct at least a portion of the laser light onto a position on the workpiece that is directly beneath the cutter blade portion when the cutter blade portion is in the upper position.

A miter saw for cutting a workpiece is disclosed. The miter saw has a base section, a holder section, a saw blade section, a saw blade support section, and a guide bar. The base section has an upper surface for supporting a workpiece to be cut. The holder section stands from the base portion. The saw blade section has a circular saw blade for cutting the workpiece. The saw blade support section pivotably supports the saw blade section. The guide bar slidably supports the saw blade support section. The guide bar is slidably supported by the holder section. The guide bar extends substantially parallel to the upper surface of the base section. The saw blade support portion is slidable along the guide bar.

Miter saw

A cutter including a base, a holder, a cutter blade portion, and a laser generator. The holder is supported on the base portion in an upright posture. Alternatively, a holder has a shaft support portion, and a slide shaft is axially slidably supported by the shaft support portion. A miter saw having good workability without decrease in angle visibility is disclosed. The miter saw includes a display unit provided on a turntable. The display unitis positioned between an operating handle protruding outward from the turntable and a rotation axis of the turntable. The display unit is positioned below the upper surfaces of a base and the turntable not so as to protrude above the upper surface of the turntable. The display unit displays an inclination angle of a circular saw blade with respect to the upper surface of the base and a rotation angle of the turntable with respect to the base in a line.

A portable circular saw includes a housing, including a motor, a circular saw blade, a saw cover, and a light irradiation unit. The blade is driven by the motor for cutting in a cutting direction. The circular saw blade has one side surface and another side surface. The saw cover is provided to the housing for partially covering the circular saw blade. The light irradiation unit is provided on the saw cover. The light irradiation unit includes a first irradiation device located on the one side surface side of the blade and a second irradiation device located on the another side surface side of the blade for emitting a light to illuminate a region including a leading end portion of the circular saw blade and a spot on the cutting object. The spot is ahead of the leading end portion in the cutting direction.

Portable circular saw having light irradiation unit

A miter saw which prevents deterioration in perpendicularity of a cutting blade to the upper surface of a base part when slide of a pipe is regulated by pressing a pipe. In a miter saw, a pair of pipes support a cutting part, on one end side. On the other end side, the pipes are surrounded and supported slidably by a first slide support part of a support member of a turntable. A virtual plane including the axes of the pair of pipes is substantially parallel to the pivotal direction of a disc saw blade. A first screw is screwed in the first slide support part. An end part of the first screw contacts and presses a pipe. This end part is engaged with the pipe so as to restrict slide of the pipe relative to the first slide support part.

A portable cutting device capable of changing and adjusting a cutting depth of a circular saw blade relative to a base with lesser labor. A saw cover is pivoted on the base to change the cutting depth. An adjustment guide extends from the base in a pivotally moving direction of the saw cover in a superposed relation to the saw cover. A tightening unit is disposed to the saw cover at a position superposed with the adjustment guide and the saw cover for providing a selective tightening between the saw cover and the adjustment guide. The tightening unit includes a shaft part extending through the saw cover and the adjustment guide, a pivot operation part pivotally movable about an axis of the shaft part, and an urging part disposed over the shaft part and movable by the pivot operation part in the axial direction of the shaft part.

Portable cutting device capable of adjusting cutting depth

A miter saw including a base, a turntable, a support section extending from the turntable, and a circular saw unit supported to the support section. A rotation amount detection unit detects rotation amount of the turntable relative to the base. The turntable has a tilt support, and the support section has a tilting section supporting the circular saw unit and supported to the tilt support. A tilting amount detection unit detects tilting amount of the tilting section relative to the tilt support. The turntable has a microcomputer computing a rotation angle of the turntable and tilting angle of the circular saw unit, and a RAM storing the detected rotation amount and the tilting amount installed therein. A battery unit is provided in the turntable for supplying electrical power to electronic components including the rotation amount detection unit, the tilting amount detection unit, and the microcomputer.

A miter saw including a base, a turntable, a support section extending from the turntable, and a circular saw unit supported to the support section. An adjustment mechanism is provided between the base and the turntable for performing fine-adjustment to the rotation angle of the turntable relative to the base. The adjustment mechanism is located at a front side of the turntable, and a digital display is provided near the adjustment mechanism for displaying the rotation angle.
