A transport apparatus configured to transport a main signal received via one of a plurality of ports to any of the plurality of ports, the transport apparatus includes: a plurality of main signal processing circuits configured to extract a monitoring control signal from the main signal, the plurality of main signal processing circuits being provided to correspond to the plurality of ports, respectively; a monitoring controller configured to receive the monitoring control signal from the plurality of main signal processing circuits; and a serial interface configured to connect the plurality of main signal processing circuits with the monitoring controller on a ring-shaped bus to transfer a serial frame, wherein the serial frame has a mapping field to which the monitoring control signal is mapped.

Transport apparatus and method of transmitting monitoring control signal

A transmission apparatus includes a detector to receive a multiplexed signal including a plurality of signals having different frame periods and detect switching information included in the multiplexed signal; a sorter to sort a plurality of pieces of detected switching information into one or more groups according to types of corresponding signals; an adjuster to adjust an order of transferring the switching information sorted, according to a period with which the switching information is received; a transfer unit to transfer the plurality of pieces of switching information sorted, based on a result of the adjustment performed by the adjuster; a controller to generate path setting information to set transmission paths of the signals based on the plurality of pieces of switching information transferred from the transfer unit; and a switch unit to set the transmission paths based on the path setting information generated by the controller.

There is provided an error correction control method of a transmission system on which a signal is transmitted from a first transmission apparatus to a second transmission apparatus, the error correction control method including: transmitting a signal for a mode change request to change an error correction mode from the second transmission apparatus to the first transmission apparatus; transmitting signals having a change timing value in a specific order with a specific period from the first transmission apparatus to the second transmission apparatus when the first transmission apparatus receives the mode change request; changing the error correction mode of the first transmission apparatus when the change timing value to be transmitted becomes a specific value in the first transmission apparatus; and changing the error correction mode of the second transmission apparatus in response to the change timing value received with the specific period from the first transmission apparatus.

A transport apparatus, includes a switching frame generator that generates a GCC-mode-switching special frame for instructing a corresponding apparatus to switch a GCC mode, a GCC overhead insertion unit that inserts the GCC-mode-switching special frame generated by the switching frame generator into a GCC overhead and transmits the GCC overhead to the corresponding apparatus, a transmission-mode controller that performs a control operation to switch the GCC mode of its own apparatus after the transmission of the GCC-mode-switching special frame is completed by the GCC overhead insertion unit, a switching-frame determination unit that determines, upon receiving the GCC overhead from the corresponding apparatus, whether the GCC-mode-switching special frame is inserted into the GCC overhead, and a reception-mode controller that performs a control operation to switch the GCC mode of its own apparatus when the switching-frame determination unit determines that the GCC-mode-switching special frame is inserted into the GCC overhead.

An optical transmission apparatus to which an optical module having optical module information stored therein is attachable, the optical module information being manufacturing information about the optical module, includes a certification rank table configured to a list, with respect to each of a plurality of optical modules, the optical module information regarding an optical module and a rank indicative of a range of guarantee for the corresponding optical module, and a ranking unit configured to refer to the certification rank table by use of the optical module information stored in an optical module attached to the optical transmission apparatus so as to determine the rank indicative of a range of guarantee for the attached optical module, wherein the determined rank is reported to an exterior of the apparatus.

A bidirectional line switched ring network which enables high-speed operation with improved reliability because of a reduced software processing load is disclosed, and the network includes a plurality of optical transmission equipment sets connected in a ring form, wherein optical transmission equipment provided in a node on the transmission side performs transmission to each lower-order channel by attaching a transmission-side node ID, and, optical transmission equipment provided in a node on the reception side collates the received transmission-side node ID with an expected value of the transmission-side node ID having been set in advance, and when the collation does not match, the optical transmission equipment in the node on the reception side prevents a misconnection in the event of a failure by inserting an alarm indication signal.

Bidirectional line switched ring network

There is disclosed a transmission device performing NUT setting and its establishment efficiently and precisely. A setting information relay unit relays setting information that places a specific channel out of a channel used for restoration. A channel establishment unit determines, by referring to the setting information, whether a channel of interest should be placed out of a channel for restoration and establish the channel. A route switch control unit recognizes a section in which the channel that is not used for restoration has been established and a fault bypass control condition at the time of occurrence of a fault and performs a route switching control based on a result of recognition.
