The present invention provides a thermal transfer receiving sheet comprising a sheet-like support, an image receiving layer containing, as a main component, a dye-dyeable resin formed on one surface of the sheet-like support, and a back surface coating layer containing an adhesive resin formed on the other surface of the sheet-like support, wherein the back surface coating layer contains a polyvinyl pyrrolidone resin in an amount of 1 to 50% by weight based on the total solid content of the back surface coating layer.

Thermal transfer receiving sheet

The present invention provides a thermal transfer receiving sheet obtained by sequentially forming a hollow particle-containing intermediate layer and an image receiving layer on one surface of a sheet-like support mainly comprising cellulose pulp, wherein the moisture content of the entire thermal transfer receiving sheet is from 2 to 8 mass % and the moisture permeability of the entire receiving sheet is 400 g/m&#xb7;day or less; and a production method thereof. The present invention further provides a thermal transfer receiving sheet obtained by sequentially forming a hollow particle-containing intermediate layer and an image receiving layer on one surface of a sheet-like support mainly comprising cellulose pulp and providing a backside layer on another surface of the support, wherein the backside layer mainly comprises an acryl-based resin having a glass transition point (Tg) of 45&#xb0; C. or less and contains a resin filler having an average particle diameter of 5 to 22 &#x3bc;m and the Bekk smoothness according to JIS P 8119 on the backside layer surface is 100 seconds or less.

Thermal transfer receiving sheet and its manufacturing method

A thermal transfer receiving sheet comprising a sheet-like support having sequentially formed on at least one surface thereof a hollow particle-containing intermediate layer and an image receiving layer, wherein the hollow particles have an average particle diameter of 0.2 to 35 &#x3bc;m and a hollow percentage by volume of 30 to 97% and the printing smoothness (Rp value) on the surface of the thermal transfer receiving sheet, as measured by using a Microtopograph under an applied pressure of 0.1 MPa 10 m-seconds after the initiation of pressure application, is 1.5 &#x3bc;m or less. A production method of the thermal transfer receiving sheet is also provided.

Thermal transfer receiving sheet, production method thereof and image forming method using the sheet

A thermal transfer receiving sheet having laminated, on one side of its support, an intermediate layer, a barrier layer and an image receiving layer in this order, wherein said intermediate layer comprises hollow particles, and said barrier layer comprises a polyvinyl alcohol derivative, and comprises, as further main components, a resin or a mixture of two or more resins selected from the group consisting of a styrene-maleic acid copolymer, a styrene-acrylic copolymer, an acrylic acid ester polymer and polyester, or wherein said barrier layer comprises, as main components, an ethylene vinyl alcohol copolymer and polyurethane.

There is provided a thermal transfer receiving sheet comprising a substrate, a barrier layer laminated on said substrate, and an image receiving layer laminated on said barrier layer, wherein said barrier layer and said image receiving layer are laminated on at least one side of said substrate, characterized in that the major components of said barrier layer are a swellable lamellar inorganic component and an adhesive, wherein said swellable lamellar inorganic component has a mean particle diameter of at least 0.1 &#x3bc;m and not greater than 100 &#x3bc;m, and an aspect ratio (ratio of mean particle diameter to thickness of the lamellar composite) of at least 100 and not greater than 5000.

A thermal transfer image recording composite sheet has a lamination structure: (2) image receiving sheet section (including image receiving layer (D), image recording sheet substrate (C) and adhesive layer (E)) and (1) release sheet section (including release layer (B) and release sheet substrate (A)), and exhibits, as a whole, a compressive modulus of 50 MPa or less, wherein, the substrate (C) is constituted from (a) an upper oriented porous polyester film layer bonded to the image receiving layer (D) and (b) a lower oriented porous polymer film layer, the polymer of which is different from polyester of the layer (a), laminated on the upper film layer (a) and bonded to the adhesive layer (E), or the adhesive layer (E) comprises, together with an adhesive agent, a plurality of hollow particles each formed from a hollow core portion and a shell portion and has an average particle size of 0.3 to 30 &#x3bc;m, in which recording sheet the image receiving section (2) can be separated from the release sheet section (1) and adhered to a desired article.

Thermal transfer image recording composite sheet

A recording paper roll in which a lengthy recording paper is wound by a bobbin comprises an adhesive tape as a means for adhering the initial take-up section of the recording paper to the bobbin. The adhesive tape comprises a layer of pressure sensitive adhesives provided on both surfaces of a film laminate on which two synthetic resin films have been laminated detachably so that a residue of starch paste or adhesives which has been used to adhere the initial take-up section to the bobbin does not entrap into a printer, which is accompanied by the recording paper.

A thermosensitive recording material having a high resistance to curling and cockling when colored images are developed thereon comprises a substrate sheet comprising a thermoplastic resin and having a thermal shrinkage of 1.0% to 2.0% at a temperature of 120.degree. Thermosensitive recording material

A heat-sensitive recording material having an improved color image-forming property and an enhanced gloss and resistance to water, oily substances and plasticizers, is provided with a heat-sensitive color-forming layer formed on a substrate surface and comprising a substantially colorless dye precursor, a color-developing agent and a binder; an intermediate layer formed on the color-forming layer and comprising a hydrophilic polymeric material and a pigment; a glossy surface layer formed on the intermediate layer and comprising a hydrophobic polymeric material having a glass transition point of 60.degree. C. or more, and a lubricant; and optionally, an additional intermediate layer formed between the color-forming layer and the intermediate layer and comprising at least one member selected from hydrophilic polymeric materials and hydrophobic polymeric materials.

Heat-sensitive recording material

A heat-sensitive recording material having a superior resistance against water, plasticizers, and oily substances, is provided with a heat-sensitive color-forming layer formed on a surface of a substrate sheet and comprising a dye precursor, a color-developing agent, and a binder; and a protecting layer formed on the heat-sensitive color-forming layer and comprising (A) a polyvinylalcohol resin, (B) a water-soluble cross-linking agent, (C) at least one organic boron-containing polymer of the formula (I): ##STR1## and optionally (D) an acetoacetylated polyvinylalcohol resin.
