An antenna device is provided with an antenna element including a base, an inductance adjustment pattern that is formed on the upper surface and a side surface of the base and has a substantially U-shape, a capacitance adjustment pattern that is formed on the upper surface of the base and is placed to face the inductance adjustment pattern, and first to third terminal electrodes provided on the bottom surface of the base. The antenna element is installed between the first side and the second side of the ground pattern that form the two facing sides of the antenna mounting region. One end of the inductance adjustment pattern is connected to the feed line, the other end of the inductance adjustment pattern is connected to the first side of the ground pattern, and the third terminal electrode is connected to the second side of the ground pattern.

Antenna device

An antenna apparatus includes an antenna block and a substrate. The antenna block has a base that is made of a substantially cuboid dielectric body, an upper-surface conductor formed on an upper surface of the base, first and second pad electrodes that are formed on both ends of a bottom surface of the base in a longitudinal direction of the base, respectively, and a lateral-surface conductor connecting the upper-surface conductor and the second pad electrode. The substrate has a region mounting the antenna block, a ground pattern provided around the mounting region, first and second lands that are provided within the mounting region so as to correspond to the positions of the first and second pad electrodes, a feed line that is connected to the first land, an impedance-adjusting pattern connecting the first land and the ground pattern, and a frequency-adjusting pattern connecting the second land and the ground pattern.

Antenna apparatus and method for adjusting characteristics thereof

A monopole antenna comprising an antenna conductor to transmit or receive a radio wave, and an inductor either inserted in the antenna conductor or connected to an end of the antenna conductor. The inductor includes a first conductor electrically connected to the antenna conductor, and a magnetic material adjacent to the first conductor. Since a width of an edge portion of a signal line of a first high frequency transmission line is changed with respect to a width of another portion thereof, a deviation of impedances in a connection portion of the first and second high frequency transmission lines can be suppressed, so that signal reflections occurred in the connection portion can be lowered and a signal passing characteristic is improved.

An antenna device forms a discone antenna and comprises a pole-shaped base membercomposed of dielectric material. The pole-shaped base memberhas a cone-shaped inner space formed therein. In an inside surface of the pole-shaped base member, a first antenna elementis formed by patterning a metal conductor layer. Further, on a plain surface facing the outside of the pole-shaped base member, a second antenna elementis formed also by circularly patterning a metal conductor layer at the side of a top of the first antenna elementwith a predetermined space being kept between the top of the first antenna elementand the second antenna element. An electronic component module includes a mounting substrate including a shield layer and on which a first cavity and a second cavity are formed. A first electronic component positioned in the first cavity is used in a first frequency band. A second electronic component positioned in the second cavity is used in a second frequency band. Lid members seal the first cavity and the second cavity. Patch antennas transmit/receive radio waves in the first and second frequency bands, the antennas being formed on a surface opposite to the electronic components mounting surface. And, connection terminals formed on the mounting substrate are electrically connected to the electronic components through transmission lines.

The invention has for its object to achieve a high-performance lens antenna which can be integrated with the external (surface) shape of a mobile unit with no damage to the appearance of the mobile unit and is easy to manufacture and assemble at relatively low costs. To accomplish this, the invention provides a lens antenna mounted on a mobile unit, in which the radiation-side surface thereof and the focal-side surface thereof are each of a quasi-optical shape as a lens, and which is in a non-body of rotation form.

A multilayer band pass filter includes a zero point forming capacitor formed by a plurality of capacitors connected in series between first and second extension electrodes, and intermediate capacitors connected between each pair of adjacent series capacitors and the open end of a core conductor. Therefore, zero points can be formed at the lower and upper limits of a given band. The capacity of these capacitors is adjustable via extension electrodes which extend outside the baked ceramic casing, thereby allowing adjustment to be made to the zero point.
