Provided is a clear aqueous ceramide composition comprising 1.0 to 5.0% by weight, based on the total composition, of a ceramide represented by formula (I): wherein Rrepresents a hydrocarbon group having 9 to 17 carbon atoms; and Rrepresents an acyl group having 2 to 30 carbon atoms which can contain a hydroxyl group, a long-chain fatty acid having 12 to 24 carbon atoms, a nonionic surface active agent, and water. The clear aqueous composition is useful as cosmetics, bath agents, hair-care products, external preparations for the skin, skin protective preparations, particularly medical external preparations for the treatment or protection of the skin, or a component making up these preparations.

Clear aqueous ceramide composition

A fragrant compound or fragrant composition stable for a long period of time in an acidic hard article surface cleaning liquid adjusted so as to be acidic, particularly to pH 2.0 to 3.0 with an organic acid. One or more of fragrant compounds selected from the group consisting of 2,6-dimethyl-2-heptanol, 3,3-dimethylcyclohexyl methyl ketone, o-tert-butylcyclohexanol, &#x3b1;-amylcinnamic aldehyde, &#x3b1;-damascone, &#x3b3;-octalactone, &#x3b3;-nonalactone, &#x3b3;-decalactone, anethole, ethyl benzoate, ethyl 2,2,6-trimethylcyclohexanecarboxylate, 2,2,6-trimethyl-1-crotonylcyclohexane, 6-acetyl-1,1,2,4,4,7-hexamethyltetrahydronaphthalene, isoamyl phenylethyl ether, methyl octin carbonate, 6,7-dihydro-1,1,2,3,3-pentamethyl-4(5H)-indanone, tricyclodecenyl acetate, undecyl aldehyde, fenchyl acetate, dihydrojasmone, cedryl methyl ether, p-cresol, hexyl aldehyde, and rosephenone are stable.

Composition for hard article surface cleaning liquid

An essential oil mixture for miticide, which contains eucalyptus oil or rosemary oil or a mixture thereof and a mint oil in amounts within a range of from 1:4 to 1:99 by mass ratio, and a miticide in which the essential oil mixture for miticide is dissolved in a solvent. The miticide composition which hardly gives users unpleasant feeling when applied in an amount by which sufficient miticide effect can be obtained.

The present invention is directed to a sensate composition including at least one cooling sensate, warming sensate and tingling sensate. The tingling sensate is at least one of Jambu Oleoresin and Spilanthol. The present invention is further directed to a method of using the sensate composition in a food, pharmaceutical or personal care product.

A warming composition which produces an excellent warming effect of long duration with no or little skin irritation, a fragrance composition comprising the warming composition, and cosmetics, toiletries, bath additives, and pharmaceuticals containing the warming composition or the fragrance composition.

Warming composition

A cool feeling composition having an excellent cool feeling is obtained by blending at least one cool feeling agent selected from the group consisting of l-menthol, l-isopulegol, 3-(l-menthoxy)propane-1,2-diol and p-menthane-3,8-diol with vanillyl butyl ether. In this cool feeling composition, vanillyl butyl ether is preferably used in an amount, on the weight basis, {fraction (1/1000)} to 2 times as much as l-menthol, or {fraction (1/1000)} to &frac12;time as much as l-isopulegol, 3-(l-menthoxy)propane-1,2-diol and p-menthane-3,8-diol. The cool feeling composition is capable of imparting a long-lasting and strong cool feeling when used in cosmetics, toiletries, cataplasms, bath agents, pharmaceutical compositions, etc.

Cool feeling composition

A liquid l-n-menthol composition containing 30 to 80% by weight of (-)-n-isopulegol and a process for preparing a liquid l-n-menthol composition comprising mixing 20 to 70 parts by weight of liquid menthol at a temperature of not lower than 42.degree. C. as obtained in the production of l-n-menthol with 30 to 80 parts by weight of (-)-n-isopulegol are disclosed. Further, the liquid l-n-menthol composition in which part of the (-)-n-isopulegol is replaced with 3-l-n-menthoxypropane-1,2-diol and the process for preparing the same are also disclosed. The liquid l-n-menthol composition of the present invention is less expensive than conventionally available menthol and yet has an improved feeling of coolness (particularly, the bitterness is reduced) and can be used in place of conventional menthol. Besides, the liquid menthol composition of the present invention is excellent in workability and hygiene on use. Further, by replacing part of the (-)-n-isopulegol component with 3-l-n-menthoxypropane-1,2-diol, both the odor of menthol and the irritation on the skin by menthol can be softened, and the feeling of mildness can be more increased.
