An inkjet head includes a substrate, a piezoelectric unit disposed on the substrate and including a plurality of piezoelectric elements arranged along a surface of the substrate, and a plurality of pressure chambers, each of the pressure chambers being formed between two adjacent piezoelectric elements, a plurality of lid members, each of which is disposed on two adjacent piezoelectric elements and has a hole connected to one of the pressure chambers, and a nozzle plate disposed on the plurality of lid members and having a plurality of nozzles through which the liquid is discharged, each of the nozzles being connected to one of the holes of the lid members.

In accordance with one embodiment, an inkjet head comprises a plurality of groove-shaped pressure chambers formed on piezoelectric members of which the polarization directions are opposite, and a nozzle plate arranged at the lateral side of the pressure chambers across a lid section with high rigidity. A plurality of through holes connected to a plurality of nozzles formed on the nozzle plate is formed in the lid section. The inkjet head is set in a range of 10&#x2dc;25% before and after a center, that is, a length ratio where the relation between ejection voltage of ink ejected from the nozzles and a length ratio between the length of the through hole of the lid section in the longitudinal direction of the pressure chamber and the length of the pressure chamber in the longitudinal direction of the pressure chamber is minimized.

Inkjet printer head

In accordance with one embodiment, an inkjet head comprises a plurality of groove-shaped pressure chambers formed on piezoelectric members of which the polarization directions are opposite, and a nozzle plate arranged at the lateral side of the pressure chambers across a lid section with high rigidity. A plurality of through holes connected to a plurality of nozzles formed on the nozzle plate is formed in the lid section. The inkjet head is set in a range of 10-25% before and after a center, that is, a length ratio where the relation between ejection voltage of ink ejected from the nozzles and a length ratio between the length of the through hole of the lid section in the longitudinal direction of the pressure chamber and the length of the pressure chamber in the longitudinal direction of the pressure chamber is minimized.

According to one embodiment, an inkjet head includes a mask part which covers a periphery of an actuator part in a state where a nozzle hole is exposed to outside and a peripheral edge part of which is opposite to an opening peripheral edge part of a frame part at other end while a gap is kept, and the gap between the peripheral edge part of the mask part and the opening peripheral edge part of the frame part at the other end is sealed with a seal agent having thermal insulation properties.

An image forming apparatus includes an ink jet head, having a pressure chamber, a flow path and a nozzle, which ejects ink in the pressure chamber through the nozzle, a first tank connected to the flow path, a supply unit which supplies ink in the first tank to the pressure chamber through the flow path, a second tank connected to the flow path, a discharge unit which moves ink in the pressure chamber to the second tank through the flow path, and a control section which activates the supply unit and the discharge unit so that ink in the pressure chamber is discharged to the second tank by the discharge unit, ink in the first tank is charged to the pressure chamber by the supply unit and the liquid surface of ink supplied to the pressure chamber is projected from the nozzle.

An ink supplying mechanism includes a circulating system that connects an ink jet head having a nozzle, a pressure chamber opposed to the nozzle, and an upstream port and a downstream port that communicate with the pressure chamber, an upstream side tank that communicates with the ink jet head via the upstream port and is capable of storing an ink, a downstream side tank that communicates with the ink jet head via the downstream port and is capable of storing the ink, and a circulating pump that feeds the ink from the downstream side tank back to the upstream side tank. An ink-jet head includes a nozzle array including plural nozzles. The nozzle array has a first nozzle group arranged in the center thereof and second nozzle groups arranged further on outer sides than the first nozzle group. Inter-nozzle pitches of the second nozzle groups are larger than inter-nozzle pitches of the first nozzle group. A direction in which nozzles of the second nozzle group eject an ink and a direction in which nozzles of the first nozzle group eject the ink are different.
