An earth handling vehicle is proposed which is capable of traveling forwardly or rearwardly to accomplish digging and loading operations, said vehicle having a chassis supported for movement on the earth by a track mechanism. The vehicle is further provided with an engine, transmission, a gearshift lever and a main clutch and further includes a maneuvering apparatus comprising front and rearwardly disposed interconnected actuators associated with steering clutches and lever mechanisms for operation of the actuators. Also, included is a supplemental clutch actuator lever which includes a portion that is operably interconnected with at least one actuator lever.

Running travel maneuvering apparatus for an engineering work vehicle

A steering mechanism for a vehicle comprising a first control member for operating a steering clutch and a steering brake on the left side of the vehicle, a second control member for operating a steering clutch and a steering brake on the right side of the vehicle, first link means connecting the first control member to the steering clutch and the steering brake on the left side, second link means connecting the second control member to the steering clutch and the steering brake on the right side, and a third control member and third link means connected thereto for simultaneously operating the left and right steering brakes. The first, second and third link means are made operative about vertical rod members to provide a flat compact mechanism. The third link means operates the steering brakes with a force increasing with the brake operating movement of the third control member to ensure effective braking action.

Steering mechanism for vehicles

Apparatus for loading and unloading a working machine to and from main equipment, comprising a pair of upper and lower supporting members disposed at main equipment, a pair of upper and lower fixtures disposed at the working machine so as to correspond to said pair of supporting members respectively, engagement projections and engagement hooks respectively disposed at said upper and lower supporting members, latch arms and fitting pins respectively disposed at said upper and lower fixtures, wedge means disposed between said upper supporting member and said upper fixture, and fixing means for fixing said wedge means, whereby the working machine may be readily and securely loaded to main equipment by wedging action of said wedge means, and may also be readily unloaded from main equipment.
