A printing apparatus includes a liquid tank unit, a printing head, and a supply tube unit. The liquid tank unit includes first and second liquid tanks that store liquid and are arranged in parallel to each other. The printing head ejects liquid from the first and second tanks while moving in a main scanning direction. The supply tube unit includes a first supply tube connecting the first liquid tank to the printing head and includes a second supply tube coupled in parallel to the first supply tube and connecting the second liquid tank to the printing head. The second supply tube transitions from a connected tube state in which the second and first supply tubes are coupled in parallel to a single tube state by being separated from the first supply tube, passes across the first supply tube, and is connected to a connection port of the second liquid tank.

Printing apparatus

There is provided an ink jet recording apparatus capable of preventing a user from erroneously performing an opening and closing operation of a valve in the supply of ink to a recording head from an ink tank. The ink jet recording apparatus includes a recording head configured to eject ink, an ink tank provided in an apparatus body, including an filling portion for filling ink to be supplied to the recording head, and configured to store the filled ink, a cover member configured to be movable to a position where the filling portion is not exposed and a second position where the filling portion is exposed, and a valve configured to be switchable between an opened state where ink can be supplied to the recording head from the ink tank and a closed state where the supply of ink to the recording head from the ink tank is blocked, wherein the valve operates interlocking with the movement of the cover member, and is in the opened state when the cover member is at the first position and in the closed state when the cover member is at the second position.

Ink jet recording apparatus

A liquid storage container including a positioning configuration contributing to downsizing is provided. The container capable of storing liquid therein includes a fitting portion including a communication port establishing communication between an inside and an outside, wherein a supply member supplying liquid is fitted and can supply the inside with liquid via the communication port; a first positioning portion positioning the supply member at one point; and a second positioning portion including a guide provided in the fitting portion and capable of guiding the supply member to a position where the supply member is fitted into the fitting portion when the supply member is fitted into the fitting portion while being positioned by the first positioning portion and a restriction portion restricting movement of the supply member using the first positioning portion as a rotation axis in the position where the supply member is fitted into the fitting portion.

Liquid storage container

A printing apparatus includes a liquid container. The liquid container includes a storage portion configured to store a liquid to be supplied to a discharge head that discharges the liquid, a first channel configured to be inserted into a replenishing bottle, which is configured to replenish the liquid to the storage portion, and to communicate with the replenishing bottle, and a second channel between the first channel and the storage portion, the second channel including, at an end portion on a side of the first channel, a first shape portion having a sectional shape common to a part of a sectional shape of the first channel.

Printing apparatus and liquid container

A printing apparatus includes a support member configured to support a printhead that performs printing by discharging ink to a print medium, a connecting member including a connecting portion connected to an ink introduction portion of the printhead and through which the ink introduction portion communicates with an ink supply passage via the connecting portion, a rotation member configured to hold the connecting member such that a posture of the connecting member is changeable, and configured to be supported by the support member to be rotatable between a connecting position at which the ink introduction portion and the connecting portion are connected and a connection releasing position at which the ink introduction portion and the connecting portion are not connected, and a biasing portion configured to bias the connecting member to a first posture with respect to the rotation member.

Printing apparatus and printhead

A liquid discharge apparatus includes a liquid container and an operating member. The liquid container is configured to introduce liquid from a liquid introducing portion to an inside. The operating member is configured to rotate around a rotation shaft in a first direction from a first position for covering the liquid introducing portion to move to a second position for exposing the liquid introducing portion, and rotate in a second direction opposite to the first direction from the second position to move to the first position. The operating member includes a plug member and a covering portion. The plug member is retained to the operating member by a retaining member and configured to plug the liquid introducing portion at the first position. The covering portion is configured to cover the plug member in a direction intersecting with the first direction.

Liquid discharge apparatus having liquid container and operating member

A liquid ejection apparatus includes a first liquid storage container, a second liquid storage container, a first terminal member, a second terminal member, and a circuit board. The first liquid storage container stores liquid to be supplied to a liquid ejection head that ejects the liquid to an ejection medium. The second liquid storage container is arranged side by side in a first direction with respect to the first liquid storage container. The first terminal member comes into contact with the liquid stored within the first liquid storage container. The second terminal member comes into contact with liquid stored within the second liquid storage container. The circuit board comes into contact with the first terminal member and the second terminal member and relatively moves in the first direction with respect to the first liquid storage container.

Liquid ejection apparatus

A liquid discharge apparatus includes a liquid discharge head to discharge liquid to a medium and a liquid storage container. The liquid storage container includes a reservoir portion, a liquid injection portion, a liquid holding unit, and a liquid guide portion. The reservoir portion reserves the liquid that is supplied to the liquid discharge head. The liquid injection portion allows a liquid injection container for injecting the liquid into the reservoir portion to be inserted in the liquid injection portion in a first direction. The liquid holding unit is provided at a position spaced apart from the liquid injection portion and is capable of holding the liquid. The liquid guide portion guides the liquid from the liquid injection portion to the liquid holding unit in a second direction intersecting with the first direction.

Liquid discharge apparatus and liquid storage container

A recording apparatus includes a recording head having discharge orifices arranged on a discharge orifice surface, a cap, a wiper, and a moving unit that moves the wiper in a first direction. When the cap covers the discharge orifice surface, a first member is disposed at an inside wall of the cap at a position near a first side of a region having the discharge orifices, and a second member is disposed at another inside wall of the cap at a position near a second side of the region having the discharge orifices. The first side faces in a direction opposite to the first direction and the second side faces in the first direction. In a direction normal to the discharge orifice surface, a distance between the second member and the discharge orifice surface is smaller than a distance between the first member and the discharge orifice surface.

Recording apparatus

A recording apparatus includes a wiper, a recording head having a step portion and an ejection port surface supporting an ejection port, and a moving unit to relatively move the wiper and the recording head so that the wiper moves with respect to the recording head in relative movement in a first direction. In a first wiping, the relative movement causes the wiper to stop at or in vicinity of the step portion, or pass at or in the vicinity of the step portion at a speed lower than a speed at which the wiper wipes an area in which the ejection port is arranged. In a second wiping performed after the first wiping, the relative movement causes the wiper to pass through the step portion of the recording head and wipe the recording head in the first direction toward the area, and thereafter wipe the area.

Recording apparatus and wiping method

A current sharing control system of a power supply, wherein a plurality of switching power supplies are connected in parallel to feed DC power to an external load. Each switching power supply comprises an output current sensing circuit for obtaining a signal corresponding to the output current of the power supply; an ideal diode circuit comprising an anode coupled to receive a signal corresponding to the output current and a cathode coupled to receive a signal corresponding to the maximum output current of the plurality of parallel connected switching power supplies; an error amplifier for outputting an error signal representing difference between the anode and cathode potentials of the ideal diode circuit; and an output voltage regulator for adjusting the output voltage thereof to cancel the error signal. Advantageously, the system enables the output currents of the plurality of parallel connected power supplies to be maintained at the same level, thereby preventing variations in output voltage when any one or more of the switching power supplies fail, or are connected or disconnected while the power line is active. Also, advantageously, the system enables control of variations of current to be within a certain range when short circuit or open circuit of a parallel operation control signal of the system occurs.

Current sharing control system of power supply and output voltage sensing circuit

A switching power supply comprising a main converter that turns ON and OFF a DC current applied to a primary winding of a main transformer by a main switching element and outputs a main output voltage to a secondary circuit by rectifying and smoothing current induced in a secondary winding; an error amplifier generating an error voltage between the main output voltage and a first reference voltage; an over-voltage protection circuit that generates an over-voltage protection signal when the main output voltage exceeds a second reference voltage; a PWM circuit to control a drive signal for the main switching element to minimize error voltage outputted by the error amplifier; and a shut-down execution circuit that stops the main converter operation when the over-voltage protection signal is generated; wherein are provided a device to superimpose the over-voltage protection signal on the error signal of the main output voltage induced in the secondary winding and to transmit the superimposed signal to the primary circuit after isolating the superimposed signal with a photo-coupler; and a primary control circuit that detects an error signal transmitted via the photo-coupler by dividing the error signal into three levels of stop range, normal operation range, and abnormal operation range, and rapidly stop operation of the main converter when the error signal value is deflected to the stop range or the abnormal operation range due to failure of the photo-coupler, thereby resulting in improved reliability of the switching power supply.

Switching power supply using a single isolating element to facilitate

A pulse width control IC circuit that greatly reduces price, increases packaging density,and improves reliability for switching power supply units, wherein the IC circuit is on a single chip and includes a main converter control section that controls the ON and OFF actions of a main switch outside the IC, an output MOSFET, and an auxiliary converter control section that controls the ON and OFF actions of the output MOSFET.

A switching power supply apparatus wherein a main converter turns 'on' and 'off' a DC current applied to a primary winding of a main transformer using a main switching element and outputs a main output voltage to the secondary side after rectifying and smoothing current induced in a secondary winding; an error amplifier generates an error voltage between the main output voltage and a first reference voltage; a PWM control circuit outputs an on-off control signal for the main switching element so that the error voltage is minimized; a photo coupler receives the error voltage and provides an output to the PWM control circuit; an over-voltage protection circuit generates an over-voltage protection signal when the main output voltage exceeds a second reference voltage; an on-off circuit outputs either a high level potential or a common level potential depending on whether the power is to be turned 'on' or 'off'; a shut down latch circuit outputs a shut down signal when the over-voltage protection signal represents an over-voltage state; and a shut down implementation circuit holds the input voltage to the photo-coupler at a value which suppresses input to the photo-coupler when a signal from the on-off circuit specifies power off or when the shut down signal from the shut down latch circuit is effective; whereby only a single isolator is required in the apparatus.

Switching power supply unit

A DC/DC converter for producing a plurality of output voltages, comprising a transformer having a primary coil and a plurality of secondary coils; a switching circuit adapted to turn ON and OFF the supply of input DC voltage to the primary coil; rectifying and smoothing circuits for rectifying and smoothing the AC voltages obtained in the secondary coils; a circuit means connected in series with the rectifying and smoothing circuits to obtain the sum of the output voltages from the respective rectifying and smoothing circuits; and a control circuit adapted to receive the lowest DC output voltage from the rectifying and smoothing circuits and to control the ON - OFF operation of the switching circuit so that the lowest voltage is maintained at a constant level, and wherein the DC voltages from the respective rectifying and smoothing circuits are obtained by making use of one of the output terminals of the lowest DC voltage as a common terminal.
