An object is to enable accurate machining by enabling shots to be accurately blasted on a workpiece even while workpiece is being deformed. A part manufacturing system includes: a peening device including a nozzle that projects a plurality of shots toward a workpiece, and a sensor that detects a distance to the workpiece; and a machining robot including a hand to which the peening device is attached, and a control unit that adjusts a position or an orientation of the peening device by controlling the hand based on the distance detected by the sensor.

Part manufacturing system and part manufacturing method

The present invention provides a surface property inspection method and apparatus for inspecting the surface properties of a test object subjected to two stages of shot peening. The present invention is an apparatusincludes an AC power supply, an AC bridge circuit, and an evaluation apparatus. The AC bridge circuit is constituted by a variable resistor, a reference detector and inspection detector. The inspection detector includes a coil wound so as to oppose the surface property inspection area of the test object M; an eddy current is excited in the test object M by supplying AC power to the coil. A pass/fail judgment of the first shot peening can be made by inspecting the surface properties of a test object subjected to a second shot peening only after the second shot peening is completed.

Surface property inspection method and apparatus

The purpose of the present invention is to provide a shot processing device and a projector such that the projection amount of a projection material can be minimized. The present invention provides a shot processing device equipped with a centrifugal projector for projecting a projection material onto a workpiece and a support mechanism for supporting the workpiece at a processing position where surface processing by the projector can be carried out, wherein the projector is equipped with: a cylindrical control cage which the projection material is supplied into and which has an opening formed on a side wall as a projection material discharge port; and an impeller that has a plurality of blades, which are arranged outside of the control cage and extend outward in the radial direction of the control cage, and rotates about the central axis of the control cage, wherein each blade has, disposed on a front-side surface in the rotation direction, a rearward inclined section inclining toward the rear-side in the rotation direction.

Shot processing apparatus and projector

The purpose of the present invention is to provide a shot peening apparatus for which size increase is limited by projecting a shot material evenly on a workpiece using a single projector. The present invention provides a shot peening apparatus equipped with a workpiece-conveying mechanism for conveying a workpiece and a projector for projecting a shot material at the workpiece. The workpiece-conveying mechanism is equipped with: a pair of rollers, which extend in the workpiece conveyance direction, on which the workpieces are loaded, and which are rotated centered on the longitudinal axis line; an endless chain; and conveyance members for pressing and conveying workpieces in the conveyance direction. The projector is a centrifugal projector and is equipped with: a control cage into which the shot material is supplied and in which a first opening and a second opening are formed; and a bladed wheel, which is provided with multiple blades having a backward-sloping section that slopes toward the back in the rotation direction and which rotates centered on the central axis line of the control cage. The first opening and the second opening of the control cage are separated from each other in the circumferential direction of the control cage and are disposed offset from each other in the direction of the central axis line of the control cage.

Shot processing apparatus

To provide a surface property inspection device and method capable of inspecting the surface treatment state of treated material subjected to surface treatments. A surface property inspection deviceincludes an AC power supply, an AC bridge circuit, and an evaluation apparatus, and the AC bridge circuitis formed by a variable resistorwith a distribution ratio of &#x3b3;, a reference detector, and an inspection detector. The inspection detectorincludes a coilwound so as to oppose the surface property inspection area of the test object M; an eddy current is excited in the test object M by supplying AC power to the coil. A reference test object S with the same structure as the test object M is placed in the reference detectorto cancel inspection environment effects.

Surface property inspection device and method

The purpose of the present invention is to provide a drum-type shot peening device capable of shortening processing time. This shot peening device comprises: a bottomed, cylindrical drum having one end thereof open; and a projector provided on the open side of the drum and which projects projection material on to a workpiece inserted inside the drum. The projector comprises: a cylindrical control gauge having an opening window that is formed in the side wall thereof and serves as a discharge port for the projection material, said opening window having a rectangular shape having two sides thereof parallel to the center axis of the control gauge having the projection material supplied therein; and an impeller comprising a plurality of blades arranged on the outside of the control gauge so as to extend in the radial outside direction of the control gauge, said impeller rotating around the center axis of the control gauge and having a backward-tilting section that is tilted towards the rear side in the blade rotation direction and is provided on the surface on the front side in the rotation direction.

To provide a surface property inspection apparatus, surface property inspection system, and surface property inspection method capable of inspecting the surface processing state of processed material subjected to surface processing such as shot-peening, heat treatment, or nitriding with high accuracy and low vulnerability to temperature changes in the inspection environment. Surface property inspection apparatus is furnished with a AC power supply, a AC bridge circuit, and an evaluation device; AC bridge circuit comprises variable resistor with which distribution ratio &#x3b3; is variable, reference detector, and inspection detector. Inspection detector is furnished with a coil wound so as to oppose the surface property inspection region of object under inspection M, and by supplying AC power from AC power supply to coil, an eddy current is excited in object under inspection M. Thus the magnetic properties of object under inspection M can be detected, and inspection of surface properties based on the output signal from AC power supply is possible.

Surface property inspection apparatus, surface property inspection system, and surface property inspection method

A shot-peening device(s) is installed on a side of a cabinet defining an ejection chamber in the cabinet. Shots ejected from the device to a workpiece fall and are conveyed in a horizontal direction by a horizontal screw conveyor positioned above a lower end of the cabinet and then conveyed upward by a vertical screw conveyor whose base end is above the lower end of the cabinet. The shots pass from an upper section of the vertical screw conveyor through a chute to reach an opening/closing gate. When the gate is opened and the shots are supplied to the device(s) for re-ejeciton, a portion of the shots is cause to overflow from the gate. The overflowed shots are caused to pass through a separator to remove impurities and then returned to the horizontal screw conveyor.

Apparatus for a shot peening treatment

A system for shot peening that includes an enclosure in which are provided a workpiece W to be shot peened and a nozzle for projecting the shot particles. A memory stores data for maximizing the anticipated shot-peening intensity at the workpiece based on the predetermined conditions of the shot peening. Then a calculating circuitry determines the conditions of the shot peening to be carried out in the system to maximize an anticipated shot-peening intensity at the workpiece based on the stored data from the memory and the selected type of the shot-peening process to be applied to the workpiece before the shot particles have been actually projected. The nozzle is then actuated under the determined conditions such that it projects the shot particles and directs them onto the workpiece. The shot-peening intensity of the actually projected shot particles at the workpiece is measured by a measuring device. Then a calibration circuitry controls the mass-flow rate of the shot particles and the pressure or the flow rate of the compressed air to maximize the measured shot-peening intensity based on the stored data such that the nozzle projects the shot particles under the corrected and controlled conditions.

Method and apparatus for controlling shot-peening device

An improved apparatus for detecting the intensity of shot peening by detecting at least one of the number of shot that have collided with the apparatus and the intensity of the colliding shot, comprising a box-like case having an opening at its top; a first resilient member disposed under the top of the case; a hollow supporting member resiliently supported in the case between the first resilient member and a second resilient member which is mounted in the case, the hollow supporting member including a third resilient member mounted therein; a shot collision propagating member supported by the hollow supporting member to close the opening of the top of the box-like case by way of the first resilient member, the shot collision propagating member producing and propagating an elastic wave when colliding with a shot; a transducer, for receiving the propagating elastic wave from the shot collision propagating member and converting the elastic wave to high frequency signals, disposed in the hollow supporting member and resiliently supported by the third resilient member such that a top surface of the transducer contacts a lower surface of the shot collision propagating member; and a cable passing through the hollow supporting member so as to be connected at one end to the transducer and to be connected at the other end to a measuring circuit.

Apparatus for detecting intensity of shot peening and replacement unit for the apparatus

An oscillating trough for shotblasting, which prevents workpieces (W) from being damaged when they are turned over in the trough, is provided. The trough includes a depression (24) defined by two surfaces X.sub.4, X.sub.5 extending from the bottom (21) of the transfer portion upwardly and outwardly thereby making an inner angle of 80.degree.-100.degree. and an arcuate surface S connected to the top of each surface X.sub.4, X.sub.5 of the depression. The surface S is an arc in cross section of a radius of 70-100% of the radius of the largest cylinder inscribable in imaginary planes Y and Z each of a predetermined length in cross section, the plane Y at one end intersecting an upper end of the surface X.sub.4 or X.sub.5 with an external angle of 140.degree.-160.degree., and the plane Z at one end intersecting the plane Y with an inner angle of 120.degree.-140.degree..
