In an electric motor-driven booster, a sharp change of reaction force to an operation of a brake pedal is reduced to improve the brake pedal operation feeling. Network monitoring device

An object of the present invention is to provide an electric booster enabling an easy connection of an ECU and a stator. An ECU casing containing boards and (ECU) is attached to the outer surface of the casing body so as to be located near a stator of an electric motor. The opening of the casing body is closed by a rear cover. A flat-portion through-hole (through-hole) is formed through the casing body. Bus bars connecting the stator and the ECU are disposed through the flat-portion through-hole. In response to depression of a brake pedal (), an electric brake () mounted on the rear side starts to generate a braking force at the time of stroke hbefore a fluid pressure brake () mounted on the front side starts to generate a braking force when the stroke reaches stroke h. Accordingly, the rear side is able to generate a braking force prior to the front side, whereby it is possible to reduce a rigid feeling, and therefore improve the pedal feeling.

Brake device

A disk brake apparatus in which a determination is made as to whether a centering operation should be performed, and operation conditions for the centering operation (the length of the interval and the number of the operations) are set, according to a change of deformation of a disk rotor by heat release over time. When the centering operation is performed, a solenoid is actuated to perform the centering operation according to the set operation conditions. The centering operation is an operation of moving a pair of brake pads () and () into contact with the disk rotor () and then separating the pads from the disk rotor during a cooling process while a vehicle is running.

Disk brake apparatus

In the normal condition, a braking force is generated by directly supplying to a disk brake a fluid pressure generated in a master cylinder in response to an operation of a brake pedal. In addition, a braking force can be generated by supplying a fluid pressure to the disk brake by actuating a hydraulic pump motor by a controller. When a knock-back occurs due to, for example, rapid turning of a vehicle, a piston is allowed to be displaced backward so that uneven wear of a brake pad and a disk rotor can be prevented. After that, when a cause for the knock-back is eliminated, the piston is caused to move forward and a pad clearance is adjusted by actuating the pump motor by the controller so that deterioration of the responsiveness can be prevented.
