An electronic apparatus includes: a chassis formed of a conductive member and including an opening; a radiation source arranged in the chassis and radiating noise electric waves; and a conductor formed of a conductive member and arranged on a same side of the radiation source as the opening with at least a part of the conductor overlapping the opening in a plan view of the opening. The conductor has one end electrically connected to the chassis and the other end as an electrically open end.

A meandering control device includes: a detector configured to detect a position of an edge of a web being conveyed in a width direction of the web; a corrector configured to correct a position of the web being conveyed in the width direction; and a controller including a digital filter configured to perform filtering on a position signal indicating the position of the edge detected by the detector to attenuate a noise component. The controller is configured to drive the corrector to correct the position of the web in the width direction based on the position signal after the filtering.

A print system includes a first printer which performs printing on a sheet while conveying the sheet and a second printer which receives the sheet conveyed from the first printer and performs printing on the sheet while conveying the sheet. The second printer includes a second printing unit, a second registration roller, a second pre-registration roller, a sheet detector, and a second controller. The second controller controls an operation of the second pre-registration roller and an operation of the second registration roller based on a timing of a detection of the sheet by the sheet detector.

Print system including multiple printers

A controller is configured to drive a conveying roller to allow a sheet to abut on a registration roller and stop, and to drive the registration roller to convey the sheet abutting on the registration roller to the printing unit at a set sheet interval. The controller is configured to control a conveying speed of the conveying roller based on a time from a first timing to a second timing, the first timing at which a preceding sheet conveyed from the registration roller to the printing unit exits the conveying roller, the second timing at which a following sheet reaches the conveying roller.

A braking content determiner determines a content of braking control on a rotating operation such that rotation of a paper feeding motor stops within a time required for stopping from a time point of detection of a sheet by a sheet sensor to a time point of passing of a trailing edge of the sheet through a paper feeding roller, the time required for stopping being determined based on a length of the sheet in a sheet conveying direction, a predetermined speed of the paper feeding roller, and a distance between the paper feeding roller and the sheet sensor in a sheet conveying route. A controller performs the braking control on the rotating operation of the paper feeding motor, according to the content determined by the braking content determiner, upon or prior to the detection by the sheet sensor of the sheet sent out by the paper feeding roller.

Paper feeding device

A controller is configured in duplex printing to: determine a reverse conveying speed corresponding to a printing schedule based on a printing condition; determine a switching timing corresponding to the printing schedule; and switch an operation of a common conveyer at the determined switching timing between a paper feeding conveying operation and a paper refeeding conveying operation. The paper feeding conveying operation is for receiving an unprinted sheet at a paper feeding conveying speed and conveying the unprinted sheet to a printing unit. The paper refeeding conveying operation is for receiving a sheet with a front side printed at the determined reverse conveying speed and conveying the sheet with the front side printed to the printing unit.

Printer with duplex printing function

A conveyance apparatus includes a pair of registration rollers configured to convey a print medium to a printing unit of a printing machine in a conveyance direction, a motor configured to rotate the registration rollers, and a controller configured to control the motor such that after the print medium strikes the registration rollers and thereby forms a predetermined amount of slack in the print medium, the motor starts rotating the registration rollers to convey the print medium, and the motor stops rotating the registration rollers once the print medium exits the registration rollers. In stopping rotating the registration rollers, the controller is configured to drive the motor to generate torque in a reverse rotational direction opposite from a rotational direction in which the motor generates torque to convey the print medium in the conveyance direction.

An image forming device including a pickup roller and a scraper roller configured to send out a print sheet to a feed route, a before-registration roller configured to send out a print sheet to a registration roller, and a control unit configured to independently control the transfer speed of the print sheet at each point based on operation patterns relating to the pickup roller and the scraper roller, and an intermediate transfer roller configured to transfer the print sheet between the before-registration roller and itself, wherein the operation pattern is set based on a relationship between a distance from the intermediate transfer roller to the before-registration roller or a distance from the intermediate transfer roller to the registration roller and a length of the print sheet.

Image forming device

The amount of ink in an ink fountain in a printer is detected on the basis of change of oscillation. The oscillation frequency is changed on the basis of dielectric constant information on the dielectric constant of the ink.

Method of and device for detecting amount of ink in ink fountain

A printer includes a printing mechanism and an ink container. The ink container includes a cylinder having a side wall and provided with an ink discharge port in its front end face, a piston received in the cylinder to be slidable along the side wall of the cylinder, and ink between the piston and the front end face in the cylinder. An LED projects light onto the side wall of the cylinder in a predetermined position in the longitudinal direction of the cylinder, and a phototransistor is positioned near a rear end face of the cylinder to be adapted to receive the light projected by the LED and passing through the side wall of the cylinder only once, and outputs an electric signal upon receipt of light. The remainder of ink in the ink container is detected on the basis of the output of the phototransistor.

A sheet supply system includes a sheet support table which is movable up and down and on which a stack of a plurality of sheets are supported, a sheet feed-out roller which feeds out the sheets on the sheet support table one by one from the uppermost one, and a table drive mechanism which moves the sheet support table up and down relative to the sheet feed-out roller. A level sensor detects the level of the uppermost sheet on the sheet support table, and a sheet feed-out level at which the uppermost sheet is kept during sheet supply operation of the system is set by use of an entry key. A controller actuates the table drive mechanism to move upward the sheet support table when the level of the uppermost sheet on the sheet support table as detected by the level sensor lowers by a predetermined value from the sheet feed-out level and stops the table drive mechanism when the level of the uppermost sheet on the sheet support table as detected by the level sensor reaches the sheet feed-out level.
