A novel hydrochlorofluoroolefin-based composition contains Z-1-chloro-3,3,3-trifluoropropene, 1-chloro-1,3,3,3-tetrafluoropropane, and water. In the composition, the proportions of Z-1-chloro-3,3,3-trifluoropropene, 1-chloro-1,3,3,3-tetrafluoropropane, and water are 55.00 mass % to 99.98 mass %, 0.01 mass % to 44.99 mass %, and 0.01 mass % to 10.00 mass %, respectively, with respect to the total amount of Z-1-chloro-3,3,3-trifluoropropene, 1-chloro-1,3,3,3-tetrafluoropropane, and water.

What is disclosed is a liquid composition containing: 80 mol % to 99.9999 mol % of (Z)-1,2-dichloro-3,3,3-trifluoropropene (1223Z) and 0.0001 mol % to 20 mol % of (E)-1,2-dichloro-3,3,3-trifluoropropene (1223E). The liquid composition has small impact on the global environment and exerts azeotrope-like properties. Therefore, the composition of the liquid composition is not substantially changed even when the liquid composition is used in an open system or used for a long period. The composition of the liquid composition is also rarely changed even when the liquid composition is recovered by distillation. Therefore, the liquid mixture according to the present invention can be used suitably as a cleaning agent (a solvent).

Azeotrope-like composition containing fluorinated olefin as component

An azeotropic-like composition containing 2-chloro-1,3,3,3-tetrafluoropropene and 1-chloro-3,3,3-trifluoropropene is provided. The azeotropic-like composition according to the present invention is non-flammable, has little influence on the environment, and has substantially the same composition ratio in the liquid phase and the gas phase. By use of an azeotropic-like composition according to the present invention, a washing detergent, a solvent, a silicone solvent, a foaming agent, a coolant, a heating medium for a heat pump, and a high temperature working fluid that are non-flammable, have little influence on the environment, and have substantially the same composition ratio in a liquid phase and a gas phase thereof may be provided.

Azeotropic like composition containing 2-chloro-1,3,3,3-tetrafluoropropene and 1-chloro-3,3,3-trifluoropropene

A production method of 2-chloro-1,3,3,3-tetrafluoropropene (1224) according to the present invention includes bringing 2,3-dichloro-1,1,1,3-tetrafluoropropane (234da) into contact with an inorganic base having a pKa of 4.8 or greater in an aqueous medium in the presence of a phase transfer catalyst. Preferably, the inorganic base has a pKa of 10 or greater. Further, the phase transfer catalyst is preferably at least one selected from the group consisting of tetrabutylammonium bromide, methyltri-n-octylammonium chloride, benzyltrimethylammonium chloride and tetraethylammonium chloride. It is possible by this method to selectively produce 1224 from 234da.

Method for producing 2-chloro-1,3,3,3-tetrafluoropropene

Provided is a purification method for efficiently reducing an undesirable organic compound or compound in (E)-1-chloro-3,3,3-trifluoropropene and thereby obtaining (E)-1-chloro-3,3,3-trifluoropropene with high purity. A method for producing a desired isomer of 1-chloro-3,3,3-trifluoro-1-propene or a desired isomer of 1,3,3,3-tetrafluoropropene at a high conversion ratio with no use of a solid catalyst is provided. Since no solid catalyst is used, a desired isomer of 1-chloro-3,3,3-trifluoro-1-propene and a desired isomer of 1,3,3,3-tetrafluoropropene can be stably obtained with no undesired possibility that the solid catalyst is deteriorated due to coking or the like caused as a result of long-time use thereof.

The present invention provides a process for purifying a (E)-1-chloro-3,3,3-trifluoropropene composition (OF-1233E composition) in which at hydrogen fluoride and 2-chloro-1,1,1,3,3-pentafluoropropane are contained by bringing the (E)-1-chloro-3,3,3-trifluoropropene composition into contact with a weak base and a method for producing (E)-1-chloro-3,3,3-trifluoropropene composition by distilling the (E)-1-chloro-3,3,3-trifluoropropene composition obtained by such a purification process. This makes it possible to efficiently produce OF-1233E by removing the hydrogen fluoride from the OF-1233E composition, without generating any new component difficult to separate by distillation, and subjecting the resulting composition to distillation.

Disclosed is a method for purifying a trans-1,3,3,3-tetrafluoropropene, in which a composition containing trans-1,3,3,3-tetrafluoropropene and at least one impurity selected from the group consisting of CHClF, CFCHCHClF, CFCHCHF, CHFCH&#x2550;CF, CFCH&#x2550;CHCl, CFCH&#x2550;CH, CFC&#x2261;CH, and cis-1,3,3,3-tetrafluoropropene is brought into contact with a solid adsorbent to reduce an impurity content thereof. By this method, it is possible to remove the impurity in trans-1,3,3,3-tetrafluoropropene by a simple operation.
