A coloring-decoloring-drying apparatus for electrophoresis comprising a coloring-decoloring container having an opening used for insertion of the carrier and pouring coloring and decoloring liquid agents, rollers arranged in the vicinity of the opening of said coloring-decoloring container, and an inverted U-shaped drain pipe having one port located inside said container and in the vicinity of the bottom thereof and the other port located outside said container at a height lower than the bottom of said container, and adapted in such a manner that a carrier having been subjected to electrophoresis in an electrophoretic apparatus is fed into said coloring-decoloring container by operating said rollers, the tailing end of the carrier is held between said rollers, a coloring liquid agent is poured into said container through said opening for coloring said carrier while it is held in the condition described above, said coloring liquid agent is discharged through said drain pipe after said carrier has been colored, a decoloring liquid agent is poured for decoloring said carrier, said decoloring liquid agent is discharged after said carrier has been decolored, and then the carrier is dried by blowing hot air blast. Said coloring-decoloring-drying apparatus for electrophoresis is so designed as to be capable of performing coloring, decoloring and drying of a carrier without injuring or tearing the carrier and eliminate the necessity to arrange a valve for discharging the liquid agents.

A sample tray feeding apparatus comprising a sample tray accommodating container having an opening for inserting sample trays and another opening at the lower end thereof, and a sample tray feeding mechanism for shifting said sample trays from said opening located at the lower end, said sample tray feeding apparatus being so adapted as to accommodate a large number of sample trays in said accommodating container in piled up condition and feed said sample trays consecutively from the lower ones to a sample adhering position through the opening located at the lower end by operating said sample tray feeding mechanism.

A sample tray feeding apparatus capable of preventing water contents from being evaporated from samples even after sample application comprising a sample tray accommodating container capable of accommodating plural number of sample trays in piled up conditions and having a front opening and a rear opening at the lower end thereof, a shifting mechanism for displacing the lowermost sample tray and a plural number of sample tray covers arranged in a row in the vicinity of the rear opening of said sample tray accommodating container, said sample tray feeding apparatus being adapted in such a manner that said shifting mechanism functions to displace the sample trays to a sample adhering position through the front opening for adhering sample to a blade and then to the position under the sample tray covers through the rear opening.

A liquid agitation apparatus comprises a transparent reaction vessel for containing a reaction solution to be examined, a holder for holding the reaction vessel, and a rotary solenoid for imparting a mechanical vibration to the holder. The mechanical vibration from the rotary solenoid is effective to agitate the reaction solution automatically.
