A polypropylene-based resin composition comprising 61 to 85% by weight of a copolymer (X) of propylene, &#x3b1;-olefin having 4 or more of carbon atoms and/or ethylene, in which a content of a constitutional unit derived from propylene is 86 to 97% by weight, a total of a content of a constitutional unit derived from ethylene and a content of a constitutional unit derived from &#x3b1;-olefin having 4 or more of carbon atoms is 3 to 14% by weight, provided that a total of the content of a constitutional unit derived from propylene, the content of a constitutional unit derived from ethylene and the content of a constitutional unit derived from &#x3b1;-olefin having 4 or more of carbon atoms is defined to be 100% by weight, 1 to 38% by weight of a copolymer (Y) of propylene and &#x3b1;-olefin having 4 or more of carbon atoms, in which a melting point is 115&#xb0; C. or more, and a content of a constitutional unit derived from &#x3b1;-olefin having 4 or more of carbon atoms is 10 to 30% by weight, and 1 to 38% by weight of a copolymer (Z) of propylene and &#x3b1;-olefin having 4 or more of carbon atoms, in which a melting point is less than 115&#xb0; C., and a content of a constitutional unit derived from &#x3b1;-olefin having 4 or more of carbon atoms is 30 to 40% by weight, wherein a total of the copolymer (X), the copolymer (Y) and the copolymer (Z) is defined to be 100% by weight.

Polypropylene-based resin composition and film

Disclosed is a polymer composition comprising a copolymer of propylene, a specific amount of &#x3b1;-olefin having 4 or more carbon atoms and optionally a specific amount of ethylene and a specific 1-butene homopolymer or copolymer having a melting point of not lower than 60&#xb0; C. but lower than 125&#xb0; C., wherein the polymer composition contains a 20&#xb0; C. xylene-soluble portion of the polymer composition in an amount of from 5 to 45% by weight and the 20&#xb0; C. xylene-soluble portion has an intrinsic viscosity of 1.3 dl/g or higher. The polymer composition may optionally contain a specific propylene copolymer and/or a specific propylene homopolymer or copolymer having a melting point of from 150&#xb0; C. to 170&#xb0; C.

Disclosed is a resin composition that comprises a propylene-based copolymer (X) consisting of two kinds of copolymeric components made up of propylene, &agr;-olefin and optionally ethylene which are characterized by ethylene content and &agr;-olefin content, the copolymer (X) exhibiting a specific endothermic behavior in DSC measurement; a crystalline olefin-based polymer (Z) having a melting point up to 115&deg; C.; and optionally a copolymer (Y) made up of propylene and &agr;-olefin and/or ethylene. The resin composition can be modified by addition of a propylene-based polymer (W) and/or a nucleating agent (N) and can yield a film superior in low-temperature heat sealability and antiblocking property.
